""Only for one night""
The breakfast was good. Selection was great and the personal was friendly. Our room number 3 was very small. The windows were also very small and with the view to the parking area. There was a smell mold in the room. The guesthouse was very bad zu find, only with GPS.
"Lovely little stay"
Excellent, lovely little place to stay in a lovely city. Staff were able to fit us in for a second night as an emergency because of a flight change. Very friendly and helpful, great food and a genuinely great place to stay. Would highly recommend staying here when traveling in Windhoek. Good recommendations from staff for sites and places to see/eat etc.
"Nice stay, good front desk staff"
Rooms were large, beautiful, and comfortable. The hotel is in a quiet residential neighborhood and as such is not really in walking distance to restaurants / nightlife / etc. I wanted to praise the front desk staff (especially the lady in glasses whose name I don't remember). She was extremely capable and efficient -- for example, she hustled a popular restaurant into getting us a great last minute table. She's the type of front desk staff you hope to run into on every hotel.
"A bit of a let down"
Stayed here on the first night of our trip to Namibia and wasn't terribly impressed. The staff were helpful but rather abrupt and not particularly welcoming. The room was OK, spacious but everything looked a bit tired, not quite the 'boutique' type of accommodation we were expecting. The food for us was OK but our vegetarian friends we were traveling with were disappointed that even though this had been flagged up well beforehand nothing special had been prepared, the kitchens idea of a vegetarian meal being to substitute the meat or fish with another vegetable, not exactly a balanced meal. All in all a bit average but OK I suppose for just one night.
"A place to stay on arriving."
We used this as a place to stay on arriving in Windhoek. It was just for one night, before starting our self drive adventure. Not a great vibe though. Outside our room there had been work going on to concrete / resurface some floor and some of the dust from this was still on the floor inside our room. It just wasn't ideal. And other little things like one of the managers sitting with their feet up in the garden area smoking a cigarette added to an element of disappointment. To be honest, we wouldn't stay here again, and we felt more at home in a nearby guest house - Villa Vista - when we stayed in 2013.
