Is Formule 1-racen uw grote passie? Bezoek dan het Grand Prix circuit op Philip Island.
"Dated, But Peaceful"
For a family Christmas getaway we booked this place on Phillip Island. We booked 2 cottages with full buffet breakfast for everyone. We checked in at reception and was greeted by wonderful and cheery staff. We were provided breakfast vouchers and a map to our cottages, which were fairly far apart from each other. We drove to our cabins and both glass sliding doors had issues opening. Once we finally got inside it was lovely and cosy, most of the amenities were provided so it was a very well equipped holiday home. Breakfast the next morning was about a 5 min walking distance from the cabin and when we got there, there was a little confusion with the breakfast vouchers. I noticed we were provided with the incorrect ones with the number of people we paid for, a call was made into reception and it was finally cleared up and issue as we were provided with the incorrect vouchers. These issues was slightly embarrassing experience for us as we were not in the wrong and the waitresses kept saying that we would have to pay for the extra people that came in with us, before finding out the real story. Reception finally caught on with the issue and said we will need to drop by reception for the correct vouchers. After this everyone had buffet breakfast, which did not taste good at all. The selection was limited and the hot food seemed inedible. On the second day of our stay we were trapped inside our cabin, the other cabin our family was locked out. Because we were inside our cabin we called reception to have someone come out to fix our door as it couldn’t open, luckily there was a second back door for the cottage we could use. The maintenance assistance came very quickly and basically picked up the door and put it back on the siding rail. Fixed, that was that. The other door we managed to do the same and put it back on its siding rail. The cottages seem a little dated, so it can be seen this would happen. There is free car parking in front of each cottage, enough for 2 cars. The distance between each cottage is acceptable enough to not be able to hear other people, but all facilities are still within walking distance. The tricky thing about getting around this place is the maze it is, there was twice we were driving around looking for our cabin at night but everything looked the same.
"Very comfortable place"
Although a few of the units could do with a spruce up, this was a very comfortable place that was close to all the attractions. It also has pools, games room, Pizza restaurant and cafe' bar. You have washer, dryer, dishwasher included in the units so you can keep your clothes etc clean. It is not like a hotel as it's not serviced but the rooms have a good kitchen and amenities to cook your own meals etc All in all it's a nice place to stay
"Not for us"
This was a stop on our road trip but as a couple not for us we had a spa studio which sounded good but in reality was not we found it not to clean had patios windows but not clean the decking outside the table chairs were the same thankfully the sheets were clean bed ok a bit to soft the grouting on the bathroom floor was coming out as you walk on the floor with a few lose tiles this is not to say that all the units are the same but why was this one also the unit was to close to others so no privacy and no view. The resort is away from Cowes town so one would have to drive in not to good if you want to eat and have a drink like us think is best for families but how you get a good unit I would not know as there are many no wi fi in the units as a couple this was the worst place we stayed in this is no hotel a self catering holiday park.
"Lovely Location, Lovely Stay"
We enjoyed my time at Ramada Phillip Island. Our cabin had a small amount of wear and tear but overall was spacious and comfortable. We mostly enjoyed our beds, and we loved the restaurant. Would recommend Ramada Phillip Island to anyone looking to spend a night or two on Phillip Island.
"Great cabins, great location near Cowes"
The cabins are clean and spacious. Each standing on its own. We had 2 cabins, one with 2 bedrooms and the other with 3 bedrooms. The 3 bedroom had a onsuite in one room with the other 2 rooms seperated by the bathroom etc. Had a washing machine and dryer which you need when on a family holiday near the beach. Also had a dishwasher which save time. Easy drive to the many attractions on Phillip Island. Must see the penguins, but need to prepurchase the tickets at this time of year. Was fully booked on Saturday night even though it takes 3,500 visitors. Also went for a great walk at Nobbies, and saw some penguins there as well. Cowes (about a 4 min drive) is a very relaxed township with many places to eat. The RSL is great. but there are many other cafes, fish & chips, the hotel, restraunts etc. Great Fish & chips but lost count of the number of Fish & chip shops. Great to sit and eat while looking at the water.
