Is Formule 1-racen uw grote passie? Bezoek dan het Grand Prix circuit op Philip Island.
"So Much Potential"
My brother, daughter and I decided to go for a holiday away to phillip island. This resort looked to be a great base. We booked for two nights. We had booked for Thursday night and Friday night (22/2 and 23/2). But only stayed one night as it was unpleasant. The layout of the cabins is great and there is lots of space between cabins. The cooking and laundry facilities looked fantastic. The bedrooms were a good size. Unfortunately the first two bedroom cabin had a few faults: - all except one coffee mug in the cupboards were dirty. It appeared that they had been used and some may have had a casual rinse but still had old coffee/tea in them. - the grout in the toilet floor was very dirty looking (black) but the wall tile grout was clean. This stark difference gave a bit of an ‘eeeww’ factor. - one of the entrance doors did not lock so we ended up switching cabins as it couldn’t be secured. The second cabin we moved to was number 222. This cabin was so private with the garden hedges. This unit appeared a touch smaller but much cleaner with the following exceptions which made us decide to leave early: - OLD BLOOD on master bedroom sheets - my single bed stank of VOMIT. we notified the staff upon leaving that these were the reasons we were leaving the resort after only one night. We were not offered any remedy. The resort has so much potential, the lack of cleanliness is disappointing. Bodily fluid was too much for us. I hope they take action on the cleaning issues as it would be a great resort otherwise.
First time stayed at Ramada but wint be my last. Stayed here, unknowingly, during Superbikes weekend. So had the place to ourselves during the day. Loved the spa sauna indoor lap pool and outdoor pool and tennis courts. Saw wallabies and rabbits on the property. Buffet breakfast nice but nothing special. Very peaceful setting. Friendly staff . 2 bedroom unit was clean and spacious. Outdoor area with table was lovely. Comfy bed and full kitchen. Great stay and highly recommend. Wonderful
"Good Stop Over"
I stayed here as part of an extended trip round the state of Victoria, and my cabin was fine for a short stay. It was clean inside, cooking facilities, a little shady deck, trees around and much to my delight...a bathtub!! The exterior of the cabin was a bit shabby with peeling paint but overall it was fine (not expensive) and the staff were delightful. The site is huge with lots of different kinds of cabins, a pool area and parkland. There is a restaurant, cafe, bar and leisure center with playgrounds. I chose to self cater and this worked well for me. There are plenty of shops, cafes and supermarkets within an easy drive in the very pretty little town of Cowes. I spent a delightful few hours relaxing on the beach in Cowes which was quieter than the resort pool where large family groups had settled for picnics! My personal bug bear was the lack of wifi in the cabin. WiFi is available in the restaurant area but it would be great if the hotel could upgrade the system! because there are beautiful mature trees surrounding many cabins, be prepared to be woken by possums having an night time party on your roof!! All part of life in Australia!
"Will stay again "
Having stayed at the Windsor the night before, I can't really justify a 5 star review for this place - but it was a very nice stay. Staff were all very lovely and helpful, the pool and tennis court were well kept and convenient. We had a small room but it was enough for us, including a little balcony outside and a spa inside. Very comfortable beds. We are aware that the resort is currently undergoing renovations so under extra pressure with staff etc. so kept this in mind.
"It's OK for the price but needs work"
For the price we got it for it was OK. If we paid full price I would have been very annoyed as this place needs a lot of maintenance done. The cabins are spacious enough but there was lots of cob webs and plaster repairs that were not painted over. Lots of rotten decking around the place and weeds growing out of the gutters on some cabins. Holes to fall into and break your ankle outside the doors of BOTH indoor sauna areas covered with a floor mat. But we didn't pay for a 5 star hotel so we didn't really expect too much. It was good to just get away and use this place for a base to sleep at night. Speaking of which the beds were very comfortable. Family friendly with activities and bike trails around the premises, and a good play ground for the kids. Don't bother with the buffet breakfast, just go into Cowes and get a better quality breakfast from one of the many cafes. This place would have been fantastic when new but now some years later it is starting to get very run down and is in desperate need for some renovations.
