"Location and fried beef noodles "
We stayed 7 nights and loved the location. The subway is right down the hotel and can bring you easily anywhere in Beijing for a really cheap fare. The room was big clean although looking a bit old. We had dinner twice in the restaurant and highly recommend the fried beef noodles which are delicious and cheap. From the 5th floor you can reach a mall with loads of shops and restaurants. Great when it's so cold outside.
"Small hotel in business district"
I stayed in this hotel for 4 days and 3 nights. It's enjoyable. The staff was friendly and kind, although some of them could really speak english. The hotel was relatively small, but it's surrounded by malls, department stores, subway station, restaurants, cafes, kiosks, mini markets. Really strategic location! You can get anything! There's a small coffee kiosk that sell good coffee with good price, right in front of the hotel. It's my favorite. Food wasn't the issue here. The room was good and clean. The only problem with the bathroom was there's no water spray in the toilet. Anything had to be wiped with tissue. It's rather uncomfortable for me. So, I needed to bring water bottle anywhere, to drink and to clean up. One of the cleaning lady was very nice, too bad I didn't get her name, and she didn't speak english very well, so we communicated with 'sign' language. :) My only problem here was the hotel city tour to the Great Wall, which arranged by a local travel bureau. The guide said they would pick us up at the lobby but it turned out that the driver only sitting on the bus waiting. What???? And the guide blamed me for being late?? It's so bad! They should reevaluate their collaboration with that travel bureau. Apart from that, everything was good. All the staff was cooperative. They helped me to solve the problem with that travel bureau. Maybe I will stay here again if I revisit Beijing.
"Good hotel with a very convenient location"
I stayed here for 6 days while attending a conference. The location is very convenient: it is within 3 mins walk of Chongwenmen Metro Station (where two metro lines pass), surrounded by 4 shopping malls with supermarkets, restaurants and shops. There are also more eateries in lanes adjacent to the hotel. And for the coffee lovers there is a Starbucks and a Café Costa around the corner. Moreover, it is only a couple of metro stations away from the Tiananmen Square/Forbidden City and at walking distance of the Temple of Heaven. The room was very large, comfy and modern. The bathroom was also modern. Everything was very clean. There is no noise, either from outside or from the other rooms. The lobby is nicely decorated, as it is the bar and the space where the breakfast is served. There is also a noodle restaurant. The food is good but the menu is limited and it is expensive for Chinese standards. The breakfast, both Chinese and Western, is good. If you are interested in having the breakfast at the hotel, confirm that it is included in the room rate as its separate price completely crazy. The staff is very young, extremely helpful although its English is very limited. Overall, I consider this hotel a good choice.
"A Nice Stay !"
I stayed here with my family for a duration of 5 days. We faced some problem at the time of check-in as the staff didn’t spoke english ! But the rooms were really great and the best part of the hotel was that it had a ‘Penalty on wastage of food’ on every dining table. Overall a nice stay with supermarkets close to hotel.
Choosing a hotel in Beijing was quite difficult as there are many choices and the city is quite big and spread out. We wanted a hotel that wouldn’t be too far from the main attractions but the truth is that everything is very much far from each other. The hotel is walkable distance to the Temple of heaven only. So I wouldn’t rate this hotel for the location. It’s attached to a mall with Starbucks and KFC and other western chains of restaurants + shops like Uniqlo and H&M which was quite nice. The metro also is 2 steps away. Our room was not very big but quite standard. The hotel itself is getting old and doesn’t look trendy anymore... the service was fairly good although not luxury. Amenities in room are very basic also for the price we paid. We tried one of their restaurants (noodles) and it was good and value for money. Other than that, I won’t particularly recommend this hotel to visit Beijing. It might suit better to business travelers
