"Mindblowing hotel"

I have stayed here with my family in march 2017 & everything about this hotel is awesome from food to location must recommended please select rooms with the sea view they are the best!! I cant even forget the infinity pool it has even for pool haters this pool would change your mind

"Rocky start but last day experience great"

Upon arrival the rooms in the main complex are in need of updates thus a bit startled with 5* Status. Concerns were brought to manager and it wasn't until Tarun Sharma stepped in and made the last day equivalent to a 5* hotel. He made arrangements to move us to the Club rooms, where my daughter and I enjoyed complimentary drinks and a cheese platter. The entertainment of local dances made for a wonderful evening as the waves hit the cliffs and we enjoyed a few hours in the gazebo. The Club Cafe and the Terrace are both excellent choices for dining. Highly recommend ordering off the menu at the Terrace instead of buffet although the buffet is adequate. Enjoyed the pumpkin ravioli, risotto, tenderloin burger and the pizza al fungi was outstanding. Hats off to both restaurants. Enjoyed the kind hospitality of Svaastik at The a Terrace Restaurant,

Firstly, this is not a 5 star hotel. The lobby and only functioning pool off the lobby are nice. The restaurant The Terrace is also lovely. The manager of the restaurant is excellent and the staff is great too. That’s where it ends. The room- the room is okay. It is rundown and definitely not a 5 star room. The balcony is nice but the bathroom is bad. It is so dated, with bad tiling, no bathtub and old wooden doors that are not maintained. I specifically book 5 star hotels to have a nice bathtub and this has none. When I asked about this, the female manager was rude. The pool’s access would be challenging for many people as the main set of stairs into the pool that go down gradually are completely blocked off, leaving only a small wobbly metal ladder. The second pool is a walk down and across the main road. The pool was filthy and not kept up. The water was murky and you could not swim in it. The bathroom was disgusting, with toilet paper all over the floor and very old and dated. The grounds around the pool had garbage on them and was not clean. This pool and it’s grounds looked like it was from the 60’s and is not maintained AT ALL. The beach is absolutely atrocious. There is garbage everywhere. You cannot go near the water. The bathroom was disgusting and the two toilets were completely broken. The Leela should be maintaining it’s portion of the beach. It’s shameful. The hotel also advertises 3 pools and the staff keep stating this, however the second pool is only for club members and they don’t allow you to go near it. The third pool is disgusting, as mentioned above. There is also a conference going on right now so there are men everywhere sitting around watching as you are trying to tan, which is very uncomfortable. The wifi is very slow as well. I have two nights left and quite frankly, if they were not already paid for, I would be leaving. I would definitely not recommend this hotel. If you are looking for a beautiful resort type hotel with a beautiful beach, stay at The Leela Goa, which is amazing!

"Disappointed we can't give 5 stars "

Let me start by saying , we are staying at their Delhi property . The rest is just positive criticism . Lovely rooms , view , service, good food but let down by a few individuals. It all began with me asking the serving staff for an empty table with a view of the sunset, told I can't have it and then offering to another bunch of people from the west . Please train your staff to better understand requests and respond to them as I could have taken that for discrimination. Also get them to check if they have the right doors before knocking at midnight , quoting emergencies and demanding to open connecting doors . This had us worried as my parents are elderly. The third comment I have is for the travel desk to check if tourist attractions are open before booking - my wife wanted to go to the lion safari at Neyyar dam on the Monday. After a car was reserved we googled the venue only to find out that all attractions were closed on Mondays. If we had gone and found the place closed who would have paid for the car journey for nothing? Us or you? It was a rookie mistake to make. However the follow up was swift and so was the remedial action. Great work by the managers who apologised and tried their hardest to make it up to us .

"amazing location"

Just got back from The Leela. Had a lovely relaxing time. The Hotel is immaculate, we had seaview room which was lovely, the staff can't do enough for you. The location is stunning. Just one or two things stopped me from giving 5* rating. The private beach although well kept where the sun loungers were was full of rubbish when you stepped down onto the beach to go swimming (plastic bags, bottles, cans etc.) it was so bad one day we opted to go to the public beach, Hawa I think it was called, in the next bay which was much cleaner and pay for sun beds and have a swim without having to swim through rubbish. The second thing is the fact that you have to pay for Wi-Fi which is a bit of a shock when you can go down to a beach bar and get it for free. And lastly some of the extra taxes they put on your bill can be a bit of a shock , my friends had a massage and facial and though pleased with the standard were surprised to see a luxury tax and laundry tax on their bill so never assume the price you see is what your going to be charged.
