Hier vindt u de futuristische Taipei 101 en de chaotische avondmarkt met een wirwar van straatjes, stalletjes, theehuizen en Taiwanese lekkernijen. De stad biedt een overvloed aan musea, tempels en andere bezienswaardigheden. Een uitblinker is het fantastische National Palace Museum met verzamelingen van de vroegere Chinese keizers. Het is zeker de moeite waard om hier een paar uur door te brengen. U kunt met de metro de stad gemakkelijk doorkruisen en op allerlei locaties langs uw uitgestippelde route kleurrijke souvenirs en lekkere snacks kopen.
Taipei is zowel het start- als eindpunt van uw rondreis Taiwan. U kunt er ook voor kiezen om in Taipei uw gehele vakantie te verblijven en vanuit Taipei allerlei dagexcursies te maken. Doordat Taiwan niet zo groot is, kunt u de belangrijkste hoogtepunten prima vanuit Taipei bezoeken.

"Good service Nice hotel and Location quite gd"

All staff provided good service and they exhibit high standard of professionalism. The hotel room with a hall is clean,comfortable and spacious. Easy access to eating outlets but not noisy. We usually take 7 mins to walk to the nearest 中山国小mrt station..It is not cheap but i think it is worth the money.

"Lovely quirky hotel - only one gripe"

Stayed after booking a 4 night stay at short notice following generally positive reviews. As others have commented, the Art Deco design is certainly quirky, personally I really liked it. Our room (junior suite) was very pleasant, clean and generally with plenty of room. My only slight criticism here would be that there wasn't really anywhere to put our suitcases. Given we were on a longish trip, we had two large suitcases and they had to stay out in the room, but that's a minor detail. The location is ok, a little out of the centre of town but close to an MTR station or with taxis easily available. My only real gripe came when our plans changed and we had to stay an extra two nights in Taipei. We asked (twice) at the front desk and we said very clearly that we understood this may mean changing rooms if no rooms of our current type were available (my partner was born in Taiwan and she speaks fluent mandarin, so I know there was no language issue) they said they were already fully booked, fair enough, so we looked on line and on a couple of booking websites it showed rooms as being available! Out of curiosity we looked on their own website and it showed rooms as available. Strange. We decided to book somewhere else as we wanted to be closer to the city centre. We mentioned this experience at checkout, as the only negative of an otherwise excellent stay, to be told they did have rooms available. Well it was too late now, but seemed strange that we were not even given that option when we asked (twice) previously.

"worst five stars in taipei"

I look on accord web page to book the hotel for the great location and rating of five stars hotels.I must say that for a five stars hotel ,i was extremely surprised with the poor service since my arrival on that hotel and the argument with Duty manager occurred ones arrived in the hotel after three hours of trip . Because couple of days before my arrival ,I call the hotel and spoked to a member of the staff regarding the privileges of been Gold Member and they answered that yes it was available . So when i talk with duty manager and explained the situation of the all story ,she kept telling me no no no ,instead to find a solution to my problems and after 7 calls to others dept and having me waiting me there on her desk with this very nervous rictus ,she finally gave me the key and brought me to my room and ask me if i drink beer because she want to apologise but i told her that i don’t drink beer .Then she offered me a tea or coffee and i answered her with pleasure for a coffee latte and kindled accept her invitation and she ask me to forgive her poor behaviour and i told her certainly not forgive yes forget not . Some others problems occurred was when i ask someone to come to explain me how the coffee machine works ,a person from the reception came and told me with an attitude of a Rapper ,what happening here and what going on.i feel for short time if i closed my eyes at the fish market or in the bronx ,the way this young uy approach me and talk to me .I explain that it was a not proper way of communicating with customers and he actually apologised and said that he recently start so for me it was so obvious the lack of training of the senior management .By the way there is never any member of the staff at the gym,dirty and very cold gym. Also another time ,as i was going up to the the 12 floor to the gym but couldn’t go there because they blocked my key so therefore i had to go downstairs and ask for the key to be unblocked and again i was chaotic because i ask a member of the staff to see what going on with the key and here in the lobby waiting 10 minutes for that key without nobody assisting and here out the blew one of the front office asking me to sign a paper of my credit card cancellation because also regarding payment it was a huge drama also mishandled by this lady duty manger need on my first day and that she told me that every day she cancelled one credit card payment that i did previously to accord group for the pre booking .So without telling me they blocked my key even do they already had my credit card number and that they also took a pre payment themselves for the three nights .I freak out and told atet that first need to go to the toilets so finally in the middle of the lobby wearing only a shirt and a short and after insisting to get the key and shouting at them then they give me they key and then i was able to go to my room back .Ones arrived in my room and doing what i had to do ,i call them to bring me the paper to be sign then they came in within 5 minutes and i signed the paper and actually ask for some milk to that employee and he told me that he would tell the room service and i had to wait one hour for a simple glass of milk.Another time ,while i was taking a shower a person come to my room to check my fridge foe the Mini Bar and i told that person to come later to feel it up as there no respect atoll and it is really like a supermarket that staff come in and out as they wish and no privacy atoll. The last thing was reading an order of soup ,beef soup and ask room service if it had onions or same family of vegetables and she told she didn’t know and she would call me in 5 minutes .After five minutes ,she answered me atet what was in the soup was a secret and that the kitchen didn’t want to let know the guest.It looks like a secret of state ,so at beginning i find incredibly funny and after insisting for 10 minutes she ask me again what was the thing i dislike and i told her that i was allergic to onions and she told me that she will answer asap.so after waiting again for a simple question ,what was inside the beef soup .she keep telling me that the kitchen cannot telling me but the good news that it was no onions .So really ,i must say that is a hotel is a total failure and no way that it deserves 5 stars category and far away from the last time i went there 6 or 8 years ago.I can only blame the management who doesn’t do there proper job and ensure the quality of non existing service .I must say that been a world traveller ,i never seen such of hotel with that kind of disorganisation .It was a bad version of Budapest Hotel .

"Love this hotel"

Really lovely hotel. Good location near the subway, great buffet breakfast, nice gym, nice rooftop deck. Great service. Very quiet and clean. We were upgraded to an executive room which is really nice. I would definitely stay here again, in fact can't wait to go back.

"Best customer service"

Landis Taipei is 40mins away from the Taoyuan Intl airport. Accessible to train station and is a t min walk only. Its also a 10min cab ride to the shilin night market. On the day we arrive, we were worried for arriving at at 10am and wont be able to check in until 2pm. Thank goodness for considerate and great customer servjce from this hotel. They allowed us to check in early and it didnt do a lot of convincing. They also upgraded our room to executive suite for free. The people.are all polite and will always greet you with a smile. Ryan Huang from the front desk had an excellent customer service!! He was truly helpful and patient guiding us how to get around Taipei where to go and printed bus schedule for the sun moon lake trip. He even boughg the bullet train ticket for us online. Im overwhelmed with this hotel's training and orientation on their staff. I just loved it and i highly recommed this hotel to anyone who visits Taipei.
