"Wouldn't stay in any other hotel but this."
I came here again in January with my 7 month baby and husband. We had an amazing time. The service just keeps on getting better and better. We had little problem with our room, we had no electricity unfortunately and the manager I believe his name is SAOOD/SAEED, immediately upgraded our room to a superior room with balcony. We were originally in The ocean deluxe room. The room was lovely clean, and the balcony view was just amazing. We were on the sixth floor. The hotel is always spotlessly clean. The staff in the hotel always very helpful and always very approachable and welcoming. There was one particular member who worked in latitude his name is Kabir, he was very very helpful and lovely waiter. He was very helpful not just for us but everyone in the restaurant, my baby daughter Aleeza in particular absolutely loved him, as soon as he would walk pass her, she would flutter her arms and even cling on to his legs (in the play area) he made the best tea I have ever tasted in my life, and it was a pleasure to drink that every morning for eight days in a row. Without us even asking would always get my daughter the high chair with an apron, and also strawberry and banana milkshake every morning which she really enjoyed. He always made sure when we stood up to get more food that our tables were cleared and ready again for our next plate. He really stood out to me because of how good he was with every customer dining at latitude. Unfortunately I didn't get to say goodbye to him before I left so I was very upset. I did manage to take a picture of him with my baby daughter for memories and every time my daughter who is now eight months sees the picture she smiles like she recognises him. He was very friendly my my breakfast soo enjoyable. Can you please let him know that he is a credit to the restaurent and we hope to see him again, hopefully my baby Aleeza will remember him. There is sooo much to do at the the resort that u don't even need to leave. The souk had amazing gifts/souvenirs, the talise spa's jacuzzis is great after a long day, swimming pools are huge and heated, watersports on the beach... soo much more. We didn't even need to leave the hotel. The abra service is brilliant. I was happy to be able to dine at other restaurants in the resort, the food was absolutely delicious in every restaurant we visited. The buggy services make it very easy to get around the resort regardless of where we wanted to visit. It was my husband's first visit to Jumeirah Beach Hotel, and he fell in love with it. He would never pay another other hotel in dubai but this one. The hotel is very child friendly, I had a lovely play area in latitude for children to play and eat their meal in. The Sinbad's club for children was brilliant, the children's pool was always heated. I cannot fault this hotel one bit. I will be back. Thanks for all the hospitality

Following on from my recent negative revue about the La Parrilla restaurant (which I stand by). I felt I must also give credit where it's due. The Jumeriah Beach Hotel is a great hotel with superb family facilities, many great restaurants, albeit when you decide to pay a supplement it can become pricey (which is made even worse if the staff have a couldn't care less attitude) there are great bars, great pools, a superb Beach and a state of the art fitness area. We mainly found the staff to be very friendly, polite and informative. Special mention must go to Agnes in the ground floor club lounge. She was wonderful, very attentive and so professional. The concierge were also excellent in looking after our enquiries and bookings. The guys at the executive pool area were fabulous, we tended to have lunch there most days which was excellent, service was prompt and efficient and the staff were so friendly. We had breakfast at the Beachcomber. The food choice and quality were exceptional. I was there with my wife, twin teenage daughters and Mother-in-Law. It was my Mother-in-Laws first trip following on from her 70th so we wanted to make it special. We were there for a week so I booked a 3 bedroom suite. We were disappointed that there was only 2 bathrooms, something we had not anticipated. One bathroom being in the master bedroom the other being a general bathroom to be used by guests in the other two bedrooms, this did surprise us and made getting ready for dinner more frantic. Maybe it's something the hotel should address for any future refurbishment plans. We may have been better booking a two bedroom plus an adjoining club bedroom. On a general note we've been lucky to travel to many wonderful places around the world. This year in particular we found Dubai is certainly becoming a lot more pricey. We had a wonderful holiday December 2016 in Barbados. Similar travel time and again a wonderful place to visit. Yes a totally different holiday experience, I get that. However the point I'm trying to make, I believe because of the competition within the holiday industry and the many wonderful places around the world to visit Dubai does need to step up its game. If it's going to stay as expensive then the consumer will want more for their money not less. Otherwise no doubt it will lose its edge. When customers are paying big money for holidays they need to be looked after and made to feel special. Once complacency starts to creep in it's a slippery road and then it's along way back. That's my rant over. Sadly it's our last day so I want to say a big thanks to all the wonderful staff at the JBH who went that little further to make our stay that little extra special. Regardless of my earlier rant we did have a great holiday. JJ
One of the nicest hotels in dubai, close to the beach, it is modern and distinctive, service is great. If you like your holiday by the beach then great, if you like site seeing and shopping ... little out of the way, but nothing is far in dubai.
"Fantastic top five start resort but now a bit pricey"
I have been several times over the years and it was always a bit expensive, but this last time was too pricey, £11.00 for a bottle of bear, £6 for a coke, don't get me wrong the resort is superb, staff very friendly and helpful, food at any of the restaurants is absolutely top class. But the cost now is becoming out of reach, i think this was my last visit here ?
"Getting very expensive "
As a family we've been here now 7 times over several years, so we've probably observed the hotel over a longer period than most of the staff. It is still a beautiful hotel, standing as an icon on the Jumeirah coastline. The very first time we came you got 6 dirhams to the £. Now it's just over 4. It makes an expensive holiday incredibly expensive and bordering "not worth it". My first tip is search the Internet high and wide to get a half board deal. Don't even think about going room only and buying breakfast in the hotel. To give you some idea of cost now, 4 cans of Coke are £20. A beer is £10 and happy hour brings a bottle of corona down to £6. Normally £10. So the exchange rate is not the hotels fault, but it will effect them significantly from British customers. In the restaurant tonight i saw families not having desserts for kids because of the cost. So is this hotel worth it. It's ok. It's no longer the 2nd best hotel in Dubai (after the Burj) it's probably 8/9th. The decor hasn't changed since we've been coming over the past few years. The staff are good, but no longer wow. There are as many disinterested staff as there are excellent staff. You could halve the operating costs of this hotel overnight and service wouldn't suffer. Anyone that's been to Dubai will know it's a place that demonstrates wealth greater than any place on earth so I guess a few Brits in one hotel won't even register on the impact scale, however the competition for hotels is greater than its ever been in Dubai and the JBH is going to need to up its game to stay ahead. Breakfast is still excellent, the food quality is great, the pools are lovely, free access to wild wadi is perfect for families and there is a lot of choice of restaurants in the evening, but not so many with kids, as the menus aren't that suitable. If you've never been to Dubai it's an incredible place and somewhere everyone should see once, and if you've never been to this hotel it will wow you, if your like us and you've been here a few times your now probably going to look for a different winter destination that offers better value.
