"Amazing! "

We didn't actually stay in this hotel but we had family who were so went there every day. The hotel was wonderful, rooms were very spacious, modern and clean and the view was beautiful! Hotel staff were so helpful and friendly, bringing complimentary water and ice lollies whilst you sunbathe and always smiling! The beach isn't as nice as some of the other beaches as the sand is pebbled and the sea is very rocky however it was still lovely to sunbathe on and other beaches are not far. The rooftop pool is lovely, and quieter than the main pool, again with an amazing view of the beach! Overall a very good hotel would definitely recommend staying here!

"Wonderful Hotel and Visit"

My wife and I are middle age and stayed from Jan 9-14. Ocean 2 is a small very modern hotel with a large helpful friendly staff. It is on the beach, with rooms much closer to the water than the nearby Turtle-Elegant and Sandals, which are much larger. At Ocean 2, we stayed in a large ocean view 1 bedroom suite, with balcony, modern kitchen area, excellent wifi. Total price with taxes, etc is almost U.S. $ 500 per night - breakfast was included for us. The ocean views from the balcony, patio, roof deck with pool, everywhere are spectacular. The water is warm and calm, lots of beach lounges and umbrellas, and helpful beach staff. Shout out to Roderick who kayaked me out for some snorkling. Several small pools, near outdoor bar and dining area. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and Paige in dining made sure we had a fine dinner one night. We had many meals in the local area - if you walk less than a mile on the street right outside, all along the way you pass a large number of restaurants ranging from street food to luxury dining. Right outside the hotel is a small well stocked food market that also has sun screen, inexpensive rum, etc. We were lazy and did not explore the island on this short trip, and we also missed the Friday Oistins trip and Saturday barbecue. Next trip we will spend more time at Ocean 2 and do a lot more.

"Best hotel in the gap! "

We have been to many hotels in st Lawrence gap but this has to be the best we have stayed in. Check in was quick and easy and the rooms are spotless. We had 2 x1 bedroom ocean view suites. View was amazing in the morning and at sunset. Breakfast has a good selection and lunch was good too. They serve free ice Lollys and cold towels everyday which is great. We didn't have dinner here as there are so many great places to eat in the gap. Special mention to shantelle who was fantastic she knew us by name after the first day. She is usually front of house at the restaurant in the mornings. Dario made our sons holiday he was full of fun. Deshaun and anika at the pool bar were great and kept our son entertained. The staff overall were very friendly and we will definetly be returning here next year. The only downfall was the beach was quite stoney and not great for swimming everyday other than that we had a fantastic time.

"I have no idea why this has any good reviews"

First of all it's not really a resort it's self catering apartments. There was a nice view from the room and it was clean. Annoyingly the bedroom had no windows so we woke up in darkness which felt like we were at home so I ended up sleeping on the sofa so I didn't feel so tired. When we first arrived we were made to sit in the sun (in our jumpers and jeans) whilst we waited for credit card paper work - we left our luggage at the check in desk and they said it would be taken up to our room. I will also add we were charge $700 to my credit card on arrival for possible damages - this is awful. We finally got to our room and our bags weren't there. We waited a few minutes and then a few more until half an hour had passed. When you've flown from London really early in the morning the last thing you want is to be stuck in warm clothing in the hotel room - after 45 minutes I went down and brought the bags up myself, they were in the same place we left them, no one was bringing them up. We got down to the pool and there were no available sun loungers so we went back up to the room. This happened on 4 out of our 10 day stay, that is awful! You're not supposed to reserve sun beds but every one does leaving none left - there isn't enough for the amount of rooms in the hotel. On the first night we had dinner at the hotel - do not do this its SO expensive. We paid nearly $200 for 4 starters (they don't do mains) and I was still so hungry. This hotel rips you off left, right and centre. Saying that the food was really nice - although $38 for THREE prawns is just not acceptable. The food at the beach BBQ was terrible and cost $200 - we hardly ate a thing we were starving afterwards. To get any food you have to walk down the gap and most of it is incredibly overpriced. One night we made dinner and we brought a jar of pasta sauce from the shop opposite the hotel which cost $18 - they must laugh at tourists for paying that it's ridiculous. - This isn't a reflection on the hotel but just a note if you're going. Theres loads of people right outside the hotel either trying to sell you a time share from the hotel, drugs or jewellery, none of which will leave you alone even after saying no. I felt so unsafe. The one selling us the timeshare walked along side us for a good 5 minutes - my bf had to be quite stern with him to get him to leave us alone. The roof top pool was lovely but there's no drinks or shade so you can't stay up there very long, it would be 100x better to put a few parasols up and have a small bar or at least have someone come up to offer drinks. It was nice and quiet and made a change to the pool downstairs which was incredibly noisy with kids screaming. The pool toilets were out of order the whole time we were there so overtime we needed the bathroom we'd have to dry ourselves and get dressed to go into the lobby. The beach is really pretty but the sand is shingle - theres also a man selling jewellery who stole money from us - this made us not go back on the beach. One really annoying this was the bar in the lobby and the bar outside charge different prices - you're looking at $7 for a small soft drink served out of a 200ml bottle - they overcharge so much. The last thing I would say is to take ear plugs - it's a very noisy hotel - we were woken up around half 6/7 every morning by staff pushing trolleys in the corridors - you can hear everything. Some of the staff were really lovely - one cleaner had the worst attitude I'd ever come across she was so rude to us. After this holiday I am exhausted - it's not luxury and it's not worth the £4000 we paid. Bitterly disappointed as we had saved up for so long to go here. We've left exhausted and I am really upset - I'm also a bit annoyed no one asked us how the stay was when checking out. Certainly never returning to Barbados.

"Good beach and location"

We spent five days over the new year, the lobby has a fabulous view of the beach, very relaxed and casual hotel. It needs some refurbishment downstairs with the sofas, although it looks like the cushions are new. The ocean view suite was very spacious and looked modern and was very clean. They only have one restaurant, which is a bit hit and miss in the evening, there are very good restaurants within walking distance - the breakfast is disappointing, I would recommend Bliss down the road for half the price ! New Year's Eve was a bit of a non event apart from the fireworks which were excellent - they did try but the arialist was not presented very well, the people that were there just wanted to dance/ not watch the act, which was a bit boring!
