Elke kamer in Sandals LaSource Grenada Resort & Spa is uitgerust met een terras. Oceanview Skypool Suite
Grenada, nog niet of nauwelijks ontdekt door de Europese toerist, is een ongerept eiland dat behoort tot een van de tien kleinste landen ter wereld. Grenada, door haar rijke sortering aan specerijen ook wel de ‘Island of Spice’ genoemd, staat bekend om zijn talrijke intieme baaien en lange droomstranden. Rondom het eiland, vlak voor de kust, liggen prachtige koraalriffen die bewoond worden door talloze kleurrijke vissen. Dit in combinatie met de bergrug midden op het eiland, de ongerepte regenwouden, natuurschone watervallen en magnifieke kratermeren maken Grenada tot een ideale reisbestemming.
"Great introduction to Sandals"

We were a bit nervous about booking this as the perception amongst our friends seemed to be that Sandals was for the 50+. We had no idea what to expect! This was totally wrong though and there were a lot of younger guests - I think mid 30s seemed the norm.
It was a really fun place, the room was big (South Seas waterfall room) and we overlooked the party pool which was fun for people watching. We spent most of our time at the quiet pool, although we liked the swim up bar in the party pool.
The food and drinks were good, and the service around the pool was frequent. All the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I think we ate in every restaurant - the sushi was by far our favourite and not that much else sticks out as very memorable.
We went snorkelling a few times (we brought our own so could go when ever). There were a fair few fish just by swimming out from shore. Yoga was held on a pavilion over the sea, which was a wonderful place to practice. Beyond that we didn't do much - the heat and hotel encourage you to just relax and have another mango daiquiri by the pool!
I understand this is the smallest of the Sandals chain. We liked the size and I'm not sure I would want to go to a bigger one.
"Honeymoon"

My husband and I went to Sandals Grenada for our honeymoon. It was everything we wanted and more! The food,service, entertainment, and scenery were excellent. We had the Italian butler suite with the infinity pool and butler service and it was worth every penny. The butler service was superb. They were very attentive and always made sure we had everything we needed. We stayed for 8 days and definitely were not ready to leave! We highly recommend this resort and be sure to take the sunset cruise!
"Our favorite Sandals so far..."

This was my fifth Sandals resort. I rate Grenada first, followed by Grande St. Lucian, Barbados (not Royal), Royal Bahamian, and finally Halcyon St. Lucia. A couple of big advantages to Grenada are 1) It's literally a three minute drive from the airport to the resort. You don't even realize you've left the airport property when you're pulling into the gates. Don't worry, though. It's over a small hill so you hear very little plane noise and you aren't in view of the airport. From landing to checking in is very quick compared to every place else. 2) If you're a scuba diver, the boat picks you up on the beach, and most of the dive sites are five minutes away. I was finished with two tank morning dives 1-2 hours earlier than other Sandals that either shuttled us to a harbor to get on the boat or have 30 minutes to an hour boat ride to dive sites. For divers, this is a big deal.
We stayed for the first time in a South Seas one bedroom butler villa with infinity edge pool- M1P- and were very impressed with the room. It was very spacious, had a huge tub in the bathroom, and had a plunge pool, hot tub, lounge chairs and table on the patio. It was so nice we actually spent quite a bit of time there. Our butlers were Ifore, Jamie, and Kervin. They did an excellent job of taking care of any needs we asked for. They give you a cell phone at check in and you call them any time you need anything. Want lounge chairs set up on the beach with a stocked cooler? No problem. Lunch served to your chairs on the beach? Yes sir. Dinner reservations? Sure. The butlers did add to our experience, and I definitely recommend them. The other workers at the resort are very friendly and we had good service and good food at every restaurant. The grounds were well maintained and we had no problems with mosquitoes or any other bitey bugs. The South Seas villas are on the side of a hill, so there are some steps to get to the rooms. However, if you're coming from the beach, you can walk to the Italian Village to the left, pass a waterfall, and take the elevator to the third floor, walk out and to the right to the 5100 villas. Definitely saved some steps while hauling dive gear.
I did a 90 minute raindrop therapy massage in the spa and it was awesome. My wife had a facial and enjoyed it as well.
We attended the Sandals Select dinner which is on Tuesday nights. We were seated with William, one of their travel specialists. We enjoyed dinner with him, and went to the travel center later that week to book a return trip through him. It's worth going to the dinner if you're a Sandals Select return guest, as they give you a liter bottle of Appleton rum for just attending.
We took a private half day tour around the island. Our butlers set it up through Caribbean Horizons company and Denny was our driver. He did a good job and was very knowledgeable about the island. We did a rum tasting, shopping, small museum, chocolate shop, and toured the Annandale waterfall and Grand Etang Lake. It was a fun trip.
Our favorite excursion, though, was the Grenada Champagne and Seafood Cruise through Island Routes. It's a six hour catamaran cruise that picks you up on Grand Anse beach and takes you snorkeling, then around to Hog Island on the Atlantic side where they grill lobster on the beach. It was an excellent trip that we'll definitely do again when we return.
Overall, this is one of the best beach vacations we've done thus far, and have already planned our return next April.

Our 3rd visit to a Sandals resort, most staff are lovely but resort needs a re-furbishment desperately as some areas are v.tired including the prestigious butler suites/rooms. Serious housekeeping issues.

We got married at la source 20 years ago and returned here for our 20th anniversary. Was a bit nervous as we have never been to a Sandals,there was no need to be nervous. It was fantastic,the food was amazing,the service first class.Our room was spotless,well equipped with toiletries and hair dryer.The staff make it so nice and welcoming,I couldn't find one fault.There was a pool that played music and played games,but if it's not your thing go to the other pool or to the beach for a more quite day.We loved the American's and the Canadians what a delight to say good morning and get a response and a conversation.Love Love Love this resort and would Love to go back.
