"Amazing resort"

Stayed here for two nights while we where island hopping. We had such a wonderful stay and really enjoyed both the resort and the island itself. Spacious suites with everything you need. Unique location with a great view. Experienced some of the best service I have had in my life here. Felt like everyone working here really enjoyed their job and enjoyed helping the guests. We will be back for sure! Thank you so much for a great stay.

"Wonderful Vacation, Wonderful Hotel"

A unique place. After reading the reviews here, we went over Christmas to New Year’s as a family of 12 in two of the suites and a regular room. The group aged 7 to 70. The hotel is tucked into the hillside, commanding a breathtaking view of the valley below, the surrounding hills and the blue sea. The hotel is arranged on levels, as are the rooms. Our well-travelled group all agreed the hotel was unlike any other place they had been. Just gorgeous. The rooms were comfortable and lovely, and their hot tubs were, as all reviewers mention, fantastic. The views from the rooms and their hot tubs are breathtaking. We spent days by the pool -- the hotel’s photos do not do it justice in terms of size or view. And, for cocktails, there is a cozy bar where Duco, the bartender, prepares all manner of cocktails but particularly various special gin drinks that are tasty and different (and he donates a dollar from each to conservation efforts). The scuba divers in the group loved the diving (which is convenient, being a five minute ride to the boat and the dive sites being only 10-15 minutes away). The dive shop – Sea Saba – works with the hotel and was a first-rate professional organization; much better than some other dive places we have gone to on other islands. The food was also first-rate – both at the hotel and in restaurants in the Windwardside village. But the most special praise belongs to the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff – Claire and her husband run a close and personal place. One night they suggested and prepared a special meal for us that they had set out for us by the bar. Any time anything was wanted, it was provided. Duco was a whirlwind of energy and his drinks (mentioned) above were great, while Tatijana, provided us personal and friendly service as our server, and also gave us an introduction to the island. We weren’t sure what to expect from Saba and were concerned that a lack of beaches might be a problem. But there was plenty to do. The island has wonderful hikes and one can arrange to scuba or snorkel off the scuba boat. A trip to Windwardside is enjoyable, as is a trip to the Busy Bee bakery – not to be missed. The hotel’s New Year’s party was also fabulous. We can’t say enough good things about Queen’s Garden and look forward to returning.

"Best Place Ever"

Stayed here for 4 days in January, absolute bliss. This is one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever been to. The rooms are large and luxurious, they have everything you need, most have Jacuzzis, the towels are fluffy. All the modern convenience while still maintaining an "island" casualness. The food was world class. Caribbean cuisine with European sophistication. I had tuna sushi that was so fresh it melted in my mouth. I had Cod with sauce that was culinary magic. Then I had one of their signature dishes that involves a giant wheel of cheese, home made pasta, liquor and flames; all prepared table side. What fun! My bouche was amused!! Had a massage and facial in the spa, The accommodations achieved a beautiful balance between nature and structure, the view was inspiring! Stella, the masseur, worked out the kinks, freshened up the mug, and balanced the ch'i. The property itself is nestled into the side of a volcanic mountain, surrounded by rain forest. Vegetation, both natural and sculpted are woven throughout the dining, bar and pool areas, the effect is that of being in a tree house surrounded by jungle, well you know, meticulously manicured jungle with gorgeous lighting, and moss covered stone paths. The absolute best thing about this place is the service. The property is run/owned by Claire, her husband about a dozen or so others. There are only 12 rooms, this means that the service couldn't be more personal. By the end of the first day they knew my name, my preferred cocktail, the types of wine I like, how I like my eggs in the morning and what type of tea I drink. I hardly had to "ask" for a thing. My hats off to Timo, Duco, Natajanna, Clair and everyone else behind the scene; you really made my stay relaxing and personal. For anyone considering staying here, this place has all of the luxury and amenities of an upscale brand name hotel but is even better because of the personal service and attention to detail. We will be back. My only regret is that I can't give more than 5 stars. Oh and BTW considering the level of service and quality of the food its also a really great value, LOTS of bang for the buck.

"Great Retreat"

We enjoyed our two nights at the Hotel. Drinks by the pool were great - thank you. Interesting to talk to fellow travelers and hear their stories about the Island, scuba, and hiking. Claire helped us with our activities including a hike up Mt. Scenery and a tour of the island with George. Saba is a very unique place. Queen's Garden is beautifully perched on the "top" of the Bottom. The views looking down to the sea are breathtaking. Queen's has a nice pool and our room had a hot tub with great views. The food was very good - especially the Saba Lobster. If we had more time, we would have gone scuba diving (though conditions were not ideal when we were there because of strong northern seas) and done more hiking and exploring more restaurants in Windwardside.

"Off The Grid"

Serene, peaceful, relaxing, minimal contact with outside world...I loved the challenge to just "chill". Unless you are a hiker or scuba diver, the island of Saba has little to offer except solitude... The resort was wonderful...tiered into the mountain, staff is absolutely wonderfully accommodating. Rooms are clean and bright. We did not have a view- don't take room 5 if possible, the sleeping area is tight to maneuver around, but doable. No A/C but not needed in December- no mosquitoes
