De kamers zijn comfortabel ingericht en variëren in grootte en uitzicht, maar zijn alle voorzien van 1 kingsize bed of 2  tweepersoonsbedden, airconditioning, radio, televisie, telefoon, internetaansluiting, een minibar, een kluisje, strijkfaciliteiten, een ruim balkon met zitje en een badkamer met bad/douche, haardroger, badjassen en toilet.

Het eiland Sint Maarten is verdeeld in een Nederlands en een Frans deel. Het Nederlandse deel is gelegen in het zuiden. De hoofdstad van het Nederlandse deel is de gezellige stad Philipsburg. In deze stad zijn er veel winkels en een gezellige boulevard met restaurants en bars, gelegen langs de Great Bay met prachtig helderblauw water. Het Nederlandse deel van Sint Maarten heeft veel te bieden. Zo is hier de luchthaven van het eiland te vinden, alsmede de bekendste attractie van het eiland, de Sunset Beach Bar. Hier kunt u onder het genot van een hapje en drankje genieten van spetterende entertainmentshows. Omdat in dit deel de luchthaven van Sint Maarten te vinden is, is het Nederlandse deel van Sint Maarten het perfecte startpunt van uw Sint Maarten vakantie.

I normally don't write reviews and generally have no complaints. We stayed here for a destination wedding. If it wasn't for the great company of family and friends that we were surrounded by, we probably would not have had a good time. Bulleting may be the best for the problems with this NOT SO All INCLUSIVE Resort!! I'll Start with check in... > NO AC in lobby upon arrival while waiting for room to be ready. (they gave uscold washrags and my friend almost passed out)room supposed to be ready by 3 but was not until after 5pm. > Charged us additional $550 for the room that they upgraded us to without our permission. We wont talk about the ants in the room, continual running toilet, a/c shut off at times and no replenishment towels, soap, shampoo etc. >They ran out of alcohol by the 3rd night of wedding attendees arrival. >Wait staff for drinks at the bar were not pleasant. Rolled eyes when asking for a drink and forget about getting a coffee and/or milk. >Restaurants at the hotel closed at 930 and no room service after that. They told us to order dominos pizza!! > Site says no reservations needed but that's a lie!! You CANT EAT in the restaurants without a reservation and the buffet was always the same food. > Peeling paint on balconies and in rooms. >The staff that worked at the hotel did not seem to give a damn that we were there. Felt like we were invisible. > The beach there is small but pleasant. Nice to watch the planes come in and out of airport. > Anguilla is a boat ride away and I highly suggest that you go there. STAY THERE INSTEAD OF HERE. Could be a nice place but the customer service and overall look of hotel makes it unpleasant. Heres a BIG problem with the wedding I had... Since I was a bridesmaid, I felt it my duty to make sure that the guests were catered to since the bride and groom were busy during cocktail hour. During the cocktail hour, I noticed and was informed by numerous guest that there were only 2 trays of finger food put out for the guests while awaiting the arrival of the newly married couple. The food was mozzeralla sticks and some kind of fried fish that they told the guests was chicken. Then I noticed that the guests were going out of the cocktail hour to the all inclusive bar for drinks and food since they were not getting it at the cocktail hour. I went to the wait staff and asked why there was no food being served and why the bar was not stocked and they told me they were taking care of it. When I asked to speak with the manager they told me that he/she was not available. Even the wedding planner wa a little taken back. Not until the bride showed up 45 minutes into the cocktail hour did they bring out another 4 trays of finger food and they had the drinks. They made it look to her as if they were serving the guests the entire time. Cake and coffee time came and not one cup of coffee was brewed. When I asked about serving coffee I was told that no one had asked for coffee. Hence, me once again, requesting that they bring out coffee. VERY POOR STAFF AND SERVICE FOR A WEDDING of 100 people. My problem and concern is that the bride is a friend and they were getting over on them. They paid for this wedding and the hotel and staff got over on them. They clearly had no intention of giving them what they paid for. As for the bride and grooms special day there, they did not get what they were supposed to. The bride was supposed to get a suite for her wedding day... NOT!! another lie and their room was not a wedding room. This hotel gives The Sonesta chain a bad name. When I booked tis hotel, I considered saying at another location for my next vacation but now I have reconsidered and will not be staying with this chain at all.

"Terrible Place to Stay"

We just got home from this resort after a family member's wedding and it was extremely disappointing to say the least. Upon checking in, we were given a room that had not been properly cleaned since the previous guests left. There was half eaten food in the fridge, no crib had been provided, towels hadn't been restocked and the 3 bottles of liquor that was supposed to be included was not provided. Our suite which was booked to accommodate our 5 family members was supposed to include a pull-out sofa bed. This was nothing more than a fold out sofa pad and would not be considered a bed by any standard. The staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. There are no activities or entertainment other than radio music playing from the pool area. You would never know you were in the Caribbean by looking around. The worst aspect of this resort by far was the food situation. The food itself was barely edible and the indoor/outdoor seating areas were constantly buzzing with flies. Even though it is described as a family friendly resort, there were very few kid options on any of the menus. They do not tell you before arriving that you need reservations to eat in all of the restaurants except the buffet and upon arriving for our week long stay, we found out that there were no reservations available at any of them throughout our entire stay. No where were we told that these reservations needed to be made ahead of time. Therefore, my family and I were stuck eating at the buffet for 75% of our meals. We ended up paying to eat outside of the resort the last 2 days. There is a kids club provided for kids during the day. The staff is friendly but not very attentive. One child who was with our group was able to just get up and leave the kids club without anyone realizing it. Thankfully we decided to get out of the resort and realize that St. Marten is actually a beautiful island. The beaches are beautiful and relaxing but this resort is a waste of money.

"TERRIBLE ISN'T THE WORD FOR THIS PLACE"

My family and I went here for a destination wedding. 104 people attending, that booked this hotel. When we arrived there was no reception/greeting of any kind. The employees were rude, nasty and arrogant. I requested adjoining rooms, which we didn't get. When you were able to find someone to ask for a drink, you were waiting 10 minutes or longer. The food was horrible and if you don't make reservations you are not accommodated. The rooms were clean, but surrounding areas dirty. We had a leak from the air conditioner in our room, 2 hours and water going into the hallway before someone came to fix it. They ran out of liquor, and would run out of food after a certain time, they closed everything at 9:30. The cocktail hour consisted of 2 plates of mozzarella sticks & a few crab fritters. They put out the cake, no coffee unless requested. Other guests from this party were also treated poorly by the staff. This was the first time a lot of us were in St. Maarten & spent a lot of $$$ to be there for the bride& groom and I personally will never go back because of this hotels service and staff. The room & service were not worth $2600.00. We were told that you couldn't use the sister resort. We went outside to eat 1 night of the stay cause we got shut out of all restaurants cause the computer wasn't working for me to make the reservations then I was told it was to late by the desk attendant. I will never visit St. Maarten again because of this hotel. First Impressions mean a lot about the area and there impression was very poor to say the least.

"Avoid Staying Here"

A group of us stayed at this hotel for 4 days and we all came to the same conclusion. We will not stay at this hotel again!! The best thing about this hotel was the proximity to the airport and the beach, both of which are common given the size of the island. I was surprised to see past guests had the same experiences, which speaks to the overall poor quality of services, careless attitude of managers and ineptness of supervisory staff. I arrived at the hotel at 12:45 pm and had to wait till 4:30 pm for my room to be ready. An odor hit me when I got off the 3rd floor elevator; smelled like mildew. The contents of the soap /shampoo dispenser in the shower smelled terrible, like it had been there for years. Washcloths seem to be a rarity, and I had to ask for them. This was just the beginning. The following day there was no water at the hotel so the restaurants could not serve guests. The air condition system was old and room temperatures were unbearably hot even on the renovated floors ; the system broke down. Some guest were sent to the sister hotel in Phillipsburg. The food was okay,and the fact that many in my group ate out although this was an all inclusive vacation, speaks volumes. On that note, the Three Amigos Restaurant next door was a joke. When you have to wait 30 minutes for a drink only to be told the waitress forgot the order, or 2 hours for a burger which did not include the toppings you requested.., that says it all. I remained with my group of friends but refused to reorder anything; lost my appetite. To top off this stay, two floors at the hotel were being renovated.

"Do not go Here !"

The first evening getting there there was no greeting of any kind .Got in the room there was nothing in the fridge no water ,pop nothing .I went to the desk and was told i would get something the next day LOL REALLY !! We got there two hrs late thanks to Delta and Delta lost our Luggage .I just wanted to sit in the room and have something cold to drink .The rooms are not as nice as the pictures .You have to make reservations for Dinner on a large Computer but was never told to .All of the Restaurants were booked for all 4 days we were staying so it was 4 days of buffet .The buffet had terrible food and no air conditioning .We went to there sister resort the next day and it looked much nicer so they let us transfer there .Was a much better resort but still could not get into the Restaurants.So we ate Buffet food for three days .If you want a good vacation go somewhere else would not recommend .
