"Not worth it"
So we got a Groupon saving almost half the cost of the normal price of a room. The hotel is nice but the staff is very short with you and doesn't give you info you need, such as informing us that there were tickets for free drinks in with our key cards we didn't see until we checked out. There's a fridge in your room but it's hidden in a cabinet that looks like 3 drawers? There's a mediocre breakfast buffet but it costs like $11 a person and they don't tell you until after you eat. ALSO the shampoo and conditioner is terrible and I'm not picky either I'll use men's shampoo if I need to but this stuff was rough on my hair after one use! Also it's a 15 minute drive from Duval St where everything is walking distance, I'd recommend just finding a place down there otherwise you're paying $30 to park daily. The bed was comfy though and there's a tiki bar with Harmony, she's a great bartender, very nice and helpful!
Well, all the reasons we switched our hotel from the new Fairfield to the Inn last minute got crushed. Last year we were so pleasantly surprised by the pool temperature, with a three year old son who loves to swim a big pre. Unfortunately after our travel and directly after checking Inn we noticed the pool was cold. I went to the front desk to ask what was wrong with the pool temperature. They told me that the would let maintenance have a look. Our son really tried to get used to the temperature but ended up crying of disappointment and cold. In the evening we tried to use the wifi since watching tv with a sleeping kid in your room isn't a an option. The stable internet really wasn't stable at all the connection kept dropping and sometimes the wifi network wasn't detected across any of the three devices we had taken with us. The next day still a cold pool, went to the front desk to complain. The offered to waive the resort fee, that was fair enough. They also wanted to offer more like breakfast or a tab at the pool. Told them I wasn't complaining to get all kinds of compensation. Those wouldn't help us to get what we came for in this hotel. I was happy with the fact they tried to do what they could. We went to the beach and had a great afternoon. Despite the fact our room was much better than what we had last year this stay was a failure. If we didn't know better through earlier experiences our rating of the hotel would have been about 1 or 2 stars.... don't know if we'll go back here again... probably to afraid to have the same disappointment again.
"nice, quiet, just what i needed"
Had to do some business in key west, got booked at the Inn. Quiet, clean and easy to rest. The pillows were awesome, but the bathroom could use a little fix me up. all in all, worth the money. fun fact, i was awakened every morning by the on site rooster.
"Pool only reason to stay here"
Stayed for two nights and got a room on the ground level, except from the noisy AC you could also here everything that was going on outside the room (including people speaking). The door didn't close properly (at least able to look), keys stopped working in the second day. Location is far away from everything you might wanna do, close to IHOP and publix at least. The pool area are nice, a bit cold in the water but big and nice pool. If you just want to hang out by the pool all day the hotel will probably work otherwise look for a better alternative. If you thing that the breakfast looks like a good deal think again, $10.95 for the buffet seems like a good price BUT that don't include either coffee or juice!!! With coffee and juice it will cost you close to $17 for one person. The worst is not that they charge for coffee/juice but that they don't inform about this on the menu card, it just say $10.95 for breakfast buffet. They also state that they have fresh fruit at the buffet but they don't..... Well, at least we only made the mistake to eat breakfast at the hotel the first day.
"Very nice place."
The hotel is very nice. The rooms are clean and decorated with a Key West motif designed by Tommy Bahama. Check in was quick and easy and a concierge was on duty to answer all of our questions. There is also a poolside bar and hearty breakfast buffet. You are several miles from the famous Duval Street but taxi service is both rapid and inexpensive.
