Over Trianon Old Naples

Tenzing Travel Best Deal

"Beautiful Hotel in great location....."

We stayed here about 4 years ago and could not wait to return. Still as good as before, only difference is the continental breakfast now has to be paid for. It is a reasonable price and it does stop any waste!! On this trip, for our first visit we stayed 3 nights and then returned a week later for another 4 nights. Both rooms were excellent and furnished in the traditional style in keeping with the appearance of the hotel. Bathrooms are roomy and well appointed. There is a small swimming pool but very welcome after a days sightseeing. Car parking is adequate. It is a car ride to the beach. The tourist bus goes from literally around the corner, well worth a trip, you find out so much about this lovely town. Tin City is interesting and only a short walk. The main shopping & restaurant area is 5th Avenue, which is less than a 3 minute walk from the Trianon.. All staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We would recommend this excellent hotel to anyone wishing to visit Naples.

"Old world charm "

A lovely setting for a lovely hotel . Charming entrance with elegant fireplace in reception all decorated for the Christmas season. Our room followed the same them without the Christmas deco's. Very nice experience hope to be back next time we are in the area.

"Nice Hotel , but needs to improve on people skills an cleaning"

Stayed one night at the Trianon, Location close to downtown not so to if walking the beach.Close to bridge were more shopping an restaurants. Hotel nice. Front desk<Peter a snub> Rooms large but found walls an around door handles an light switches dirty. Walls had hand prints. We are not fussy people so for us to notice this it has to be something. We took ten minutes an had handy wipes an used one of there wash cloths an did a once over. Not so easy was the shower. Grout black mostly around shower door. Been there awhile so bleach won't work. Re grout ! Work with the cleaning staff.Straighten out front desk. Also change check in to 3;00 not 4:00. Tip!When front desk says they will call you when room ready. Make sure they do.Nothing worst then when they don't. Any even worst when they said they did.<Peter>

"A very comfortable stay"

My wife and I stayed at the Trianon for two nights as part of a longer road tour down the Gulf Coast. We thought it a very pleasant, intimate and comfortable hotel. The rooms were of a reasonable size with all of the amenities one needs for a two night stay. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom light and spacious. The hotel does not have a dining room but does offer a range of food items for sale in the lobby area which we found quite adequate for breakfast each morning and the coffee was freshly brewed. The hotel has a small but pleasant outside swimming pool located in a private area of the hotel with comfortable loungers and towels obtained from Reception. Perhaps the hotel's biggest plus is its proximity to all of the prime areas in Naples including 5th Avenue only a few minutes walk away and the beach a little further. If we return to Naples we would seriously consider staying again at the Trianon .

"Pretender Classic"

On the website and on first impression when you walk through the door, the Trianon seems classic ---European charm ---lots of marble and wood and a burning gas fireplace. Thereafter the disappointments start however. The corridors to the rooms are nothing, in fact scuffed and dirty in places. This detail should be attended to. The rooms are not classic at all ---in fact more of a standard motel room--- but good sized. Our bathroom was large, with separate shower and tub ---but lighting was poor. While overall clean, some wear and tear and cleaning oversights were noticed. There were no housecoats nor complimentary bottled water provided. The latter is available in the lobby for cash purchase. A Keurig is available in the room instead of free brewed coffee in the morning ( again available in the lobby for a fee ) One gets the impression that austerity has dictated the above as cost cutting measures. But one also wonders how far that can go before all remaining European flavor has disappeared and it becomes a Holiday Inn. It's a shame too, because the Inn fits very well in Old Naples, and is one of the few down where you want to be--- within walking distance of all old Naples has to offer.
