My wife myself and two friends shared a two bedroom 'Villa' on the 4th floor of building 5. It was our fist try at this hotel which we've seen many times before but never stayed. This is a really nice hotel and massive, there are loads of nice comfortable places to eat and drink in the main hotel area, the pool at the main building is great and the smaller pools at the different building were almost deserted (very relaxing) I could thoroughly recommend this property to families and couples.
We were starting are family vacation the next day. We decided to come early to be rested for the start of trip. We would consider staying at this hotel for the entire stay next time. All rooms are suites. They are on the bus line. Only negative, the pools were not heated. The kids did not approve.
We were returning from the Caribbean and had a stopover in Orlando. This resort was great value for our money. On our way to Caribbean we stayed at another local hotel that was twice the price and not half as nice! The rooms are huge and super clean-and Iâ€™m picky about cleanliness. The pool was great and they even had a movie night poolside for the kids on our first night. So cute. The only con was the parking lot was very full when we arrived late after a day outing, but no biggie. Youâ€™re getting good value here and itâ€™s close to all the parks. Car rental onsite was a bonus so no running around to pick up and return cars. We were pleasantly surprised and would stay again. Tip - if you take a taxi, Lyft or Uber to Disneyworld you donâ€™t have to sit in that crazy traffic to get in or out of the park- they drop you via the back service roads (also tour bus entrance) and right at the main gate, so much easier!!
"This Teacher Gives The Caribe Royale An A+"
Ten chaperones and ninety-two students came to stay at the Caribe Royale Resort from March 13th â€“ March 16th 2018. Our experience is as follows. There is a quote I once saw that said, â€œpeople create memories, not things. If we ask guests what color the carpet was in their guest room, they probably won't know. The real value comes from the ladies and gentlemen who bring that hotel to life. Ten percent is the platform, but the rest is people.â€ That quote sums up the Caribe Royale experience. It is difficult to express in words the respect my colleagues and I have for the staff at this hotel. After doing this trip for many years I have often seen school groups shoved in the back of the hotel or are not treated with the same care as other guests. However that is NOT the case here. We were treated so well and so kind by everyone we came in contact with. Our 2018 Orlando trip was a success and much of that has to do with the staff at the Caribe Royale! Ryan (senior sales manager), was our original point person. He was knowledgeable and was able to help negotiate all of our needs for this trip (breakfast, morning meeting area and rooms). Ryan immediately made us feel comfortable, that we had made the right decision in choosing the Caribe Royale for our trip. That feeling of confidence is huge when traveling with all girls. Eddie (credit manager) was our next contact. What can I say about Eddie other than he is great! His diligence in customer service and attention to detail was as impeccable. He helped me make sure all finances were properly in place prior to our trip. I cannot thank him enough for his patience and help during the planning of this trip. Maria (group housing coordinator), was the next person I came in contact with. Again I say, the customer service and attention to detail that Maria provided was as impeccable. She was able to meet all my needs and requests. I was very confident after corresponding with her that when it came to rooms; i.e. connecting rooms, ADA rooms etc. she would â€œmake it happenâ€. Bobby (front desk manager) met us upon arrival. He made check-in a dream! He helped organize all the paper work, keys & breakfast vouchers. Talk about going over and above! There was nothing I asked him for that he was not able to accommodate. I have nothing but praise for him and the staff he manages. Sean at your front desk always greeted us with a warm and welcoming smile. The first words out of his mouth every time I saw him was â€œwhat can do for youâ€? Kelsey (front office group coordinator) is a rock star. She is everything the hospitality industry strives to be. I cannot say enough good things about Kelsey both individually and as a real team player within your company. She worked with us throughout our stay, handling even the smallest of details. We cannot express how happy we are that we stayed at the Caribe Royale Resort. All the personnel touches described by your staff is the definition of a great hotel. The buffet breakfast we had every morning was delicious and bountiful. The restaurant staff was attentive and prompt. The grounds and the pool were beautiful and the rooms were well appointed and very clean. We will recommend this hotel to family, friends and colleagues. We look forward to being guests of yours again. Your grade unanimously from 10 teachers...A+!
"Abominal Check-In Process"
We arrived at 5 PM (Check-in begins at 4 PM). The very long line to check-in extended from the counter to the front doors. the hotel staffed their front desk with just 5 clerks, of which there were always 2 that had to walk away - so in effect, there were only ever 3 clerks working on all of the check-ins. The process to get through the line took over 45 minutes. When we walked through the lobby at 8:30 the line was still just as long. The staff told us it is like that every day. Apparently management does not think that it's guests value their time. Who wants to stand in a long line to check in after a day of traveling??!! Because of the delays at the counter, the valet, bell stand, and check-in parking were total chaos. Obviously management is either blind, incompetent, or just doesn't care. It is ridiculous that they charge $13 a night for valet and you have to wait in long lines that don't move in order to turn your car over to valet. When we got to our room, it was extremely hot even though the AC thermostat was turned down all the way. Maintenance came and took an hour to repair (so we still could not relax). He said it was starting to cool. We then left for dinner. When we returned it was hotter than before. We called and asked for another room, but they said they were full. They sent another maintenance guy that took another hour to get it working. Although the staff we interacted with were all very nice and helpful, we could not wait to leave the hotel the next morning. Thank goodness we had only booked the hotel for one night.
