Uw rondreis Florida is niet compleet zonder Orlando. Orlando is wereldwijd bekend als familiebestemming bij uitstek, met de vele magische themaparken, zoals Walt Disney World, Universal Studios en Sea World.
Our family of four stayed 6 nights at all-star sports during spring break. We chose this resort for the value and theme. We have two sons ages 5 and 7 who love sports, and they enjoyed the theme. Our room was a preferred room which opened up to the end zone of the football field. This was a nightly gathering place for many and I was concerned about noise, but it was only bothersome one night. Our sons enjoyed the area to run and play and the pools were fun. Everyone we encountered was super helpful and nice! Food service was fine for our family, although we mostly just snacked there. We were on the dining plan and chose other options for meals. However we greatly enjoyed the refill mug, and the drink stations were very efficient and clean with many options. All this being said, it is still a budget hotel. Rooms are small, although clean. Decor in rooms was worn from high traffic. Transportation lines were always long and buses were packed to capacity. The total time to get to parks was about an hour. We will cut costs in other areas next time to splurge on a nicer hotel.
"Mind blowing decor, BUT..."
If you have kids between the ages of 5 and 15, you'll LOVE this place. That's who this place was built for. And that includes sports teams from throughout the world. That in itself is not a problem. BUT...one of the features of this complex is a replica football field, 100 yards long and about 1/3 as wide as a regulation field. There are three stories of lodging units that run along the border of the field, on both sides of the field, about 120 units. These three stories of units form a canyon of sound that holds in any little bit of noise coming from the football field. Here's the problem: There's supposed to be a curfew on the field from 10 at night to 9 in the morning. You're at the lodging to get some sleep and rest, right? The curfew seems very reasonable. Unfortunately, the complex management only enforces the curfew when you go down to the check-in desk and complain. Kids play touch football on the field until all hours of the night. My first night at All-Star Sports, the kids on the field played and made noise after 11 at night! The second night, even after I complained, it was 10:45. Finally, on the third and fourth nights, after I complained, the noise stopped around 10:15. But, I had to go down and complain. Give Todd and Meagan, two Disney cast members, credit. When I complained, they were accommodating. These are two good people. But you had to complain every night. So, if you are lucky to get one of the 1800 other rooms, there will be no issues. But if you get a room bordering that football field, don't expect to get to sleep until sometime after 11 PM, or who knows, later? Note to Disney: Enforce the curfew...without being asked!!!! That would be the "Disney way." By the way: Budget? $162/night. Budget? $99/night? Depends on when you stay there. Best of everything to Todd and Meagan.
"Enjoyable family holiday "
Stayed here October 2014 for 3 weeks. I decided to stay in disney for the experience for my children who were 4,8 at the time. I can't complain about the staff, service, location or even the transfer buses as these were always on time but I just expected more for the price. We didn't see one disney character at the hotel the food was over priced and felt very much like Butlins, queuing up for food and drinks constantly. But the rooms were clean but there was no wow factor. The grounds needed updating and I felt there should be much more. We were out the majority of the time so it was basically a bed for each night & a base for our belongings. Pre book character meals as we only managed to get 1 booking at an inconvenient time as we were not aware we could pre book so far in advance. (Oct - so not particularly busy) However the magic bands were fab - used for your door and linked to a card so no need to carry cash in disney as it's charged to your room. Car parking is free. We did really enjoy our holiday but it was down to the parks and experiences we did. Not the hotel. We are back in July 2017 for 3 weeks and I have booked international Drive it was a fraction of the price and with everything we have planned I recommend ID. Unless you plan to spend all day every day in the hotel - it really isn't worth the extra spends, but that's my opinion.
"Affordable lodging in Disney"
Stayed for 6 nights and had a very nice time. If you re going to the parks every day, no need to spend a significant amount of money at the other high end Disney properties. Rooms were on the small side, but it served its purpose, sleeping and showering. Rooms have a small frig and dining table. Beds are on the small side, big enough for a family of three or four, if you have two young kids. Beds were clean and linens were comfortable. Rooms were very clean and updated. Water pressure was strong and plentiful. Bathrooms are small, but clean. Pool area was plain and simple. They offer pool towels, and lifeguards are on duty. Property offers laundry service. Paid extra for better room location, which was worth it because you closer to the bus stop and first floor. All Disney buses stop at the hotel. Cafeteria style restaurant is on site. Wifi is free and strong. Overall, well worth the price if you re going to the parks for more than a day. Simple accommodations at a reasonable price.
We booked All Star Sports to be on Disney property for a short trip on a budget. We felt it was the right fit because we are more of a sports family than a Disney family. We knew the kids would love the sports theme, and we knew we could live with the budget amenities for the short stay. The resort was everything we expected: busy & not fancy. The room is what you would expect at the price point, and we would not have been happy to stay more than a couple nights. Lines for the buses to & from the parks are long. We did use & would recommend Uber from the hotel to the parks; leaving the parks, a taxi is the most convenient. Lot of options in the food court, which is great, but the lines to get food and to pay were always several people long. The main pool was crowded, but the baseball pool was not crowded, even when they were conducting Disney Lifeguard Training & CPR in one area of that pool. We had no trouble with noise in our room.
