"Don't go here"
This is not a resort it is a very outdated whatever. Arrival was met with a person who could not be a customer person at all The room. 2 bedroom 2 bath suite clean but very outdated and old. For the money they charge and all the additional charges should have went to the omni. Unfortunately we are here with a group for a soccer tournament. The photo is of the toaster in the room. The tv'a are so old and small. The remotes don't work and the telephone is dead. Still waiting for a maintenance person for over 45 minutes The furniture is horrible I will never return here.
Dirty carpet in dining room with spots When checking in no notification to the fact that we were on an interval international getaway rental and after you use the starter kit you must purchase your own toilet tissue, dishwasher soap , laundry soap, garbage bags. No tissue is included in bathrooms in the starter kit Worth the price but you must bring some items if you are using all three. Bedrooms with 6 people Ask for a list of kitchen utensils so you know what to bring Good restaurant Good bar Gated Good wi-fi Good hot water Great pool area with canopies Close to publix and other restaurants including McDonald's Right off I-4 at poinciana exit south of toll rd 429 Great location
"We can't fault our vacation"
We have visited the Tuscana Resort once again with family for 17 days this time , after our last few visits . We stayed in the same condo as the last two previous visits ( 3202 ) & it still lived up to our previous expectations. ( 3 visits ) The condo has had extensive upgrades & felt like a home, not just an apartment/condo. The pool , the Tuscana tavern ( bar & restaurant ) are faultless . There are miner faults with the resort, such as having to take, your own rubbish out ,but if this is all you have to moan / complain about , so be it. This is a holiday resort for families very near DISNEY, so please expect a fair bit of noise from children. CANT WAIT TO RETURN NEXT MARCH.
Great apartment to stay in very close to highway and local amenities, we stayed here as a base to visit discovery cove and then onto Kennedy space centre. Apartments are very clean and spacious and have all amenities you could wish for.
"Has Gone Downhill Rather Quickly"
My wife and I as well as several other family members stayed 4 evenings at the Tuscana Resort about a week or so ago. We stayed at the Tuscana several years ago and had a very positive experience back then. That trip several years ago, led us to returning recently. The problem is that several things related to our recent stay were significantly less positive than our stay several years ago. The downsides of our recent stay included: -I imagine that during our previous stay we must have been on the top floor or that the room above us was empty because during this stay we were constantly disturbed by the noise level coming from above us. The soundproofing and construction is more like an older apartment building than a resort or hotel. Needless to say, we were up late due the noise and then the noise began again early the next morning. Thus, unless you are a very heavy sleeper or do not need a good evenings rest, this resort may not be a good choice. -A total debacle took place regarding our room keys. We were locked out of our unit on at least 2 occasions. One of which was during evening hours on our return from Disney. After maintenance fixed the room key issue during that evening we were promised it was fixed and would be fine for the rest of our stay. Then the very next morning the same issue took place where our room key did not allow us into our room. I guess you could say that we were locked out more than once. -When we arrived we were given a Pass Code to open the Front Gate. All went well, until the resort chose to change the Pass Code during our stay and did not make us aware of it. They claimed it was for security purposes, however we did not see any sign alerting us to this. -While the Unit we stayed in during our previous visit was very clean, this one had several problems related to cleanliness. It becomes a bit gross when you walk into a room for the first time and Smirnoff Ice Bottle Caps are littered on the floor in a few rooms. Based on what I was charged as a fee for room cleaning, I expected better. -3 of the closet doors did not function properly. Thus, when you shut the closet doors you could not get them to re-open. Seems like a maintenance issue that they should have been on top of. -Several of the light bulbs in the lamps did not work and were out. Again, a maintenance issue to me. The upsides: -The 3 bedroom unit was a good size. The 3 bedrooms, living area, dinning area, kitchen, and screened in porch were all nice. -It was within a 15 minute drive of Disney. -The kitchen was nicely equipped. -Based on being a guest in the past, I was given a Fall Discount Rate for the 4 nights that we booked the unit. I am sharing the following as part of my Trip Advisor Review because I informed the General Manager that I would be doing so. I am also doing so because he took a very do whatever you wish to do approach with me about it. With that said, I would like to share that after our second key issue (on the final day), I requested to meet with the Manger of the Resort. If my memory serves me correctly his name was Paul (I am not 100% certain). I did chose to meet with him privately back by his office (not in the lobby area directly nearby to other guests), and although he nodded in agreement with some of my concerns, he did little in the way of taking action and made in my humble opinion excuses regarding the key issue and gate security issue. For example, he informed me that the key code to our room was changed at 11:00 a.m. on the day that we would be signing out, and in fact the maintenance gentleman that got me into our room informed that the key code was changed at 10:00 a.m. That seemed a bit strange since check-out time was 11:00 a.m. Thus, why change the code at 10:00 a.m.? It then became clear to me why we could not get back into our unit at 10:10 a.m. or so. In summary, the General Manager's approach with me was sort of like, yes I hear you but more of the same blah! blah! blah! blah! I was thinking in my mind, that he needed a course or seminar on customer relations. In the past my family has also stayed at the Highlander over on what I believe is Rt. 192. We will most likely make use of that option in the future. I was sorry to see that the Tuscana Resort had gone downhill.
