"Dolphin - 4 star location, service, and pools, with 3 star hotel room"

We recently stayed at the Dolphin and overall had a very pleasant experience, though we were disappointed with the hotel room itself. Great location, super friendly staff, and fantastic pool. From a very positive standpoint, you can't beat the location. You are within walking distance from most things on the Epcot side of Disneyworld. We spent time walking around the Boardwalk, all the Epcot area hotels around the Boardwalk (including the Yacht and Beach Club, the Boardwalk, and also the Swan). The next greatest feature is the pool and beach area. It is truly wonderful. Though it was just my husband and I this time, it would be great for children as well. Multiple pools, great cabanas and bar/restaurant to eat, and wonder staff. We had a blast playing ping pong on the beach as well. Truly the location of the hotel, the service, and the pool area is what keeps this hotel in the higher star rating in my opinion. Honestly, the entire pool/beach area was one of my favorites on Disney property. For restaurants, we had the best experience at The Fountain. Great burger and fries, and their ice cream is fantastic. Our service was great as well. We also tried Blue Zoo. Food was good not great, but service was a tad slow, and it is overpriced in my opinion. Ambiance is superb though. If you're looking for a decent menu, don't mind that it isn't cheap, and has a great atmosphere, this may be a great choice for you. For our disappointing part: our hotel room. The best thing was the beds. They were wonderful. But that was it. Though clean, the room seemed quite outdated, and there was what appeared like (no confirmations of course) mold, water damage or other issue on part of the upper part of the wall and ceiling in one area. There was also a very, and I mean very, small toilet and shower area. Another issue worth noting was the parking. This was resolved, but for review purposes I'll share my story. It was packed, and I mean packed, when we checked in. Longest Disney line for check in to date. We were told we could self park, so we drove around. They had cones up so it actually looked closed. We kept driving around looking for another entrance. We finally pulled back around with several other cars and they told us self parking wasn't available, and that we could valet for the self parking rates. Problem was, they were so busy that no one was able to help. Finally after waiting for quite awhile, my husband went and parked at the Swan and walked all of our bags back to the Dolphin. It was an hour and a half process from check in until getting to our room. I did speak with someone as I didn't want to get overcharged for parking at the Swan, as our room card didn't work and we had to take a ticket. I was informed that we should've been told to park at Swan to begin with. She stated that they would shuttle us back, that parking would be free over there, etc., but unfortunately, no one did. They took the parking fees off of our bill, and gave us a $50 resort credit (which I wasn't asking for), which I found kind. So, as I stated previously, if you care about the location, friendly staff, and amazing pool, this could be an excellent choice for you. Just be prepared for some possible parking issues (I was told by staff that happens often) and only an ok room for a 4 star price.

"Outstanding Hotel and Staff!"

The hotel and staff knocked it out of the park! From lodging, to meeting set up, to dinner at Il Mulino's Trattoria every detail was covered to perfection. Our Board of Directors and Leadership Team enjoyed their time at this great venue. From check in to check out and everything in between our time at the Swan and Dolphin was more than relaxing and enjoyable, it was amazing.

"Luxury on disney property hotel at an affordable price!"

The team at the Disney Swan and Dolphin continue to excel at providing best in class accommodations, service, dining as well as other hotel amenities - while being within walking distance or a quick shuttle to all of Disney World's main attractions. We've been returning year after year to this property over any other because they 'get it'. They have a robust convention crowd - but that in no way interferes or detracts from the Disney experience for those - like me - who are there with their young families and want the true 'Disney-centric' experience. This year, we had a few extra days before our stay at the Swan and spent it at a competing, more expensive, "luxury resort" (see my review) on Universal property. This difference is startling. Just not the same. Not as clean, staff not as well trained, and twice the price. We continue to enjoy the many options the Swan/Dolphin has to offer in terms of dining. From a quick morning breakfast at either lobby cafe to a more expansive sit down breakfast in one of several restaurants. For long stays - it's easy to get bored with your eating options - so the Disney Swan Dolphin is the best solution for us - because a long stay means you still never eat at the same restaurant twice. Every restaurant, even Blue Zoo and iL Mulino will deliver their entire menu to room as well. Renovated rooms are on par with 5 star hotels. Attention to detail is not missed with: -the Wi-Fi at this hotel being better than any hotel we've stayed at. -room service always 30 minutes or less -convenient laundry - so you can pack less and recycle. -fireworks from every angle at this hotel or out in the courtyard We love the Swan Dolphin and know you will too! "Great stay!"

We really enjoyed our stay at The Swan Check in was very easy. Front desk personnel friendly and efficient Room was not ready since we arrived early. Left luggage at hotel and went to enjoy the parks. Had our bags delivered to our room We stayed in a king balcony room. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The bed was amazing! The best sleep ever! Check out was easy. Bill was emailed to me and checked out by room phone I would definitely stay here again

"Great hotel, people and location on Disney property"

How do you begin to tell the story of a great hotel? It begins and ends with people-The staff at the Dolphin is the reason we've come back 15 yrs. in a row. I want to thank- Joe Lopez Asst. Mgr of Shula's who we met when he was managing the Fountain. David Eskanazi a hard working Mgr of the Fountain of Picabu was a great help to us in both restaurants as was Angeles & the entire staff at the Picabu- they helped us through the line with our granddaughter and welcome us each year as if we were family. Michele, the Reservationist was so helpful filling in the nights we needed for our stay. I want to say Hi to Dustin Hindle, Front Office Mgr who has been so accommodating to us the last few years. Thanks to Gerald M. Goubran Complex Front Office Mgr.who introduced himself to my granddaughter and me in the Lobby. Thanks to our Superstar server and resident goddess Alicia in the Cabana Bar & Beach Club.Aaron SImmons Gen Mgr of the Cabana Bar and his assistant Nicole who Started the team waiterservice in the pool area where Pedro Pena and his assistant provided very personable service. Thanks to Shelby at the Blue Zoo and her staff. It was a wonderful feeling to see the joy on our special granddaughter's face from the time we drove into the Dolphin and throughout the entire stay. We look forward to seeing all of you next year. We are very grateful to everyone of you that bring the hotel to life.
