Kauai is het oudste en liefelijkste eiland van de Hawaii eilandengroep. Zonnige stranden omzomen hier regenwouden en met pijnbomen beklede berghellingen.
"Amazing location near the ocean"
Stay 11/22/16-11/30/16 - Beautiful hotel not far from the airport and right near the ocean. We stayed in the Kauai bldg. and had the perfect ocean view. We woke every morning to watch the sunrise from our lanai Our room was clean and equipped with dishes and a Keurig. This was our first ever trip to Hawaii and I don't regret choosing this hotel. The staff was very friendly and the grounds were well maintained and it was quiet at night. Hotel is next to the Coconut Market Place which has a free Luau Wednesdays and Friday, a few shopping stores and restaurants. We know where we will be staying on our next visit to Kauai.
"Hard to find in the dark, but excellent value!"
We got into Kauai the night before our scheduled week elsewhere and the Aston was a perfect overnight stop. Really good value, beautiful and convenient to Coconut Market Place and Kapaa. Just worked out perfectly. Well maintained and friendly.
"Private Owner, Unit 158- Great and Super Easy"
My husband and I stayed here in a private owner condo. That means I dealt straight with the owner and never had to check in at the Lobby. We arrived after the sun set, but we were able to find the Molokai building easy enough. The room was as described. I think it said hot plate though...which it did not have, it had a rice cooker, which I did make it cook like a cooking container. Made sausage and eggs while we were there, AWESOME! The keypad entry made it great, couldn't lose our keys. The beach was a bit rough looking the entire time, but the last night I decided I didn't care and went in anyways. It actually was manageable! More of a snorkeling beach. We were here in November and the winds and waves do get mightier near winter. The only downside was Lava Lava next door. On Saturday or Friday morning it was garbage day...they started at 7am! And we got neighbors on the next to last night and the stupid woman must have been wearing heels, she was so loud! Room felt clean and safe. Snorkel gear was nice and they even had fog liquid!
"Affordable Beach-Side Hotel"
Stay 11/17/16 - 11/22/16 / Family Vacation Fantastic location, right next to the beach (although steep and short, its still the beach yo) Service staff was excellent. The rooms were clean and well cared for. Parking was easy. Close to restaurants & ABC store. Quiet at night. Other guests were friendly (always a good sign) Outdoor BBQ's were excellent and well taken care of
"Do you love to hear the ocean waves?"
My friend and I recently stayed in Ni'ihau #354. The view from this 3rd floor corner walk-up was more that I hoped for! Gorgeous sunrises, ocean waves, and a myriad of bird life were plentiful in view (and often hung out on the lanai)! Being able to leave the sliding door open while we slept was a plus (3rd floor, remember...). I loved to hear ocean waves crashing on the beach at night. The room (called a "condo") was very nicely decorated. It is a glorified hotel room with a nice size bathroom including a tub/shower & hairdryer, lanai with bistro table and 2 chairs, a slightly larger square table with 2 chairs inside the room, a small coffee table, sofa sleeper, dresser, bed stand, tv, under-counter refrigerator (no freezer), sink, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker, plenty of dinner- and silverware, knives, can opener, corkscrew, scissors, etc. Closet, drawer, and bathroom storage was plentiful. An Ironing board, iron, hangers, programmable safe, luggage stand, small Styrofoam cooler, broom, and dustpan are available in the closet. There is a king size bed and sofa-sleeper with very nice linens and pillows. I slept on the sofa-sleeper and was very comfortable. There were 2 sets of bath, hand, and washcloths for each of us and 2 large beach towels. We did not use any housekeeping services while we were there. Wi-Fi worked great, TV worked also although we rarely had it on. I guess there was a DVD player also. The grounds of the resort are beautifully landscaped with a myriad of tropical plants, flowers, trees. Never used the pool or bar. The one visit to the hot tub was ok. No jets and the bottom of the hot tub felt slimy and gritty. This could be because we visited in the evening so it was ripe with washed-off sunscreen, and sand. I did see maintenance crews cleaning the pool and spa each morning. This place is a very short drive from Lihue airport. The concierge gave us some very good information on the variety of things to do on Kauai. There are a few places to eat, and "tourista" shopping, including an ABC store, a very short walk away. I would most definitely recommend a stay here.
