"Everything was good"
I felt comfortable and happy during my two-night stay. Attractive well-designed room with street view, king bed, good desk, air conditioning easy-to-adjust and not too noisy, good number of powerpoints, ihome player, large marble sink top, good shower and towels, L'Occitane toiletries. Coffee maker with instructions (yay, in some hotels I had no idea how to use the coffee maker), tea as well as coffee, tv channel guide listed the channels that were actually available, recycling bin, cotton robes, umbrella, well-stocked mini bar. Cute girl and boxer illustration on wall. I had a room service evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant - both were delicious. Staff were helpful, pleasant and professional. Hotel is in or perhaps next to the Italian Quarter where there are lots of places to eat and shops. Also near Paul Revere's house, the water and parks, a food market (different specialities) and Faneuil Hall marketplace. There's a subway station near the food market. It's an easy 15-20 minute walk to downtown, Boston Common and many historic buildings/sites and other points of interest. I used the subway to visit Harvard and the art museums which were further afield.
"Great Stay Near TD Garden"
Our family stayed here for the Northeastern University commencement that took place at TD Garden. It made the event completely stress free. We arrived early and Jay at the desk let us have one of our two rooms early. Check in was a breeze. Danielle (or Camille?) at the front desk made sure our second room would be near our first. I loved the room decor. Neat, clean, updated. For being downtown, the rooms were surprisingly quiet. There was a Celtics game the night before commencement and it was great to experience the vibe around the area due to the game. Graduation was a breeze, our graduate was able to leave early and walk across the street. My 80 year old mother had no problem walking over to the Garden either. Great restaurants nearby. Tavern on the Square for one and the North End with all the Italian restaurants is about a 10-15 minute walk or quick Uber ride. After I got home, there was a minor billing issue which was so painlessly taken care of by a quick call. The person at the desk who answered (Danielle) helped me with it immediately and I even got a call back by another staff person to confirm that a refund was sent to my credit card as well as an updated email invoice. I completely recommend the Boxer and will definitely stay there again the next time I am in Boston! The staff was excellent!
"One night stay"
Great room decor-wise. As others have mentioned, rooms are a little small but they really use their imagination and make them interesting. Great staff and a really comfortable bar to hang out at (provided no game at TD Gardens from what I saw the afternoon after checking out). Quirky without trying too hard.
"Great quirky hotel"
Great hotel stay for four nights July 2017. Room was small but entirely adequate. The hotel is slightly away from attractions but very easy to walk to and consequently fairly quiet. Boston is wonderful and great to explore for several days, plenty to do and see and fantastic places to eat. A nice hotel in a fantastic city.
"Nice place to stay"
We chose this hotel for it’s convenient location to TD Gardens, but were pleased at how convenient it was everything else as well . It was a three minute walk to TD Gardens; a five minute walk to excellent restaurants in the North End considered Little Italy; and a 10 minute walk to the Fanuiel Marketplace. There is also a public transit hub five minutes away. Besides it’s convenient location we found this hotel quaint and comfortable. The staff are friendly, the Finch restaurant is good and the rooms are very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
