"Convenience and Reasonable Rate are its Strengths"

Great location right across the park and within easy walking to the L. The rooms and furnishings are OK, but in line with it's mid-range affordability. The pool is nice and has an outdoor patio that is nice. The staff was also very helpful.

"Very good cost-benefit"

It's simple, it's not special, but the price was good and it was really worth staying there because of: - Its localization - as I've been there for a Congress, it was very easy to use the buses that departed very often from the Hilton, just across the street. That's the second time I did that (first time a few years ago). - Just across Michigan av. there is a very big and nice park, next to the lake, (where I went jogging every morning). - The pool - there's a big and nice pool (inside, well heated), few people in it, I could easily swim and relax every evening, just after the congress, before dinner. Downside: Building: a bit old. Room: - couldn't set the temperature. - bit small, but as I was alone, OK.

"Disgusting hotel"

I am honestly in shock and much disbelief that anyone could rate this hotel anything above a 2 star review! I normally stay at the Sheraton Grand but because someone in our party booked this hotel, I felt I should also stay. HUGE MISTAKE!! From the minute we walked into the room, I knew this hotel was a complete disaster! Tried to turn on the light switch right inside the room, only to find they put a flat cover on it. (See picture). Our friends above us had a light switch so my guess is this was their way of "fixing a problem." The bathroom had old, dried fecal matter stains on the wall and door. The tub at a huge black stain on it, which I didn't even want to know what the heck it was! The couch had a huge slit in the arm (see photo), the lamps were literally falling apart. The one bed had some kind of crumbs in it, which is disgusting and tells me they don't change the sheets. The metal around the window sill was completely falling off the window/wall. (See photo) I got insanely ill the morning after checking in with a horrible head cold. I am pretty sure it was due to dust and possibly black mold in the ventilation system. I have never been this sick in my life!! 8am on Saturday morning we were awaken to the sound of a building being torn down right outside our window. Everything about this place was a piece of crap! AVOID THIS HOTEL LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

"Birthday/Family getaway"

First let me say we love the location of this hotel and this is our third and FINAL stay. We will give you an honest review of what we love and then tell you why we will not stay here this summer or next February. 1st the hotel has and excellent location, and the Deluxe Suite we get has very sufficient room for my family. The two separate rooms are great. The bathroom, however is really small only one person can use it at a time which is uncomfortable when trying to get ready to go out. The rooms decor is a bit out dated and worn but not horrible. The view is incredible from both the living area and the bedroom. The lighting sucks there are like 4 lamps in the living are to mask the lack of real lighting and in the bedroom there is one lamp and two small reading light. I did kinda like them as I am a reader but the overall light was bad. The entire property seems to always have renovations that limit the ability to enjoy the hotels amenities. One thing I love on my previous visits where the huge indoor pool, huge gym, and restaurant on site. All of those were gone. They had a replacement gym that was small and not as amazing as I experienced before. The biggest turn off was the staff. With the exception of the doorman. We love him. The first incident we just observed, with disgusted was a young desk clerk of what appear as a in decent loudly and rudely disrespected a customer inquiring about her payment methods. She was so loud we could hear her in the lobby. I felt really embarrassed for the customer. The next day we too encounter this ladies rudeness. We asked if the hotel had plastic silverware. She says with attitude and no regard to the fact that we have little kids, " No, but you can put on your coat and walk to 7/11." I just couldn't believe. The last straw was on today our last day we realized that our flight flew late we have two sick kiddos and I'm catching it too and we inquired about a late check out fee and was told that it is $25 dollars per hour which is ridiculous, why because for 3 hours we will pay more the the amount of a one night stay in one of there regular rooms which is about 57.00 plus tax... On top of that we would have no water to use because of renovations... Are you serious. We were told we can hold your bags and you guys can walk around.. Seriously sick and in the cold? My this is this we didn't want to stay over free, but if I am going to pay such a ridiculous price I should at least have access to water right?. Needless to say it is not the policies are the inconsistent and out dated hotel that has lost our future business. It is rude inconsiderate and horrible customer service. The facility is ok if you can deal with the staff!

"Anniversary "

Thanks to George, the front desk,we were very well informed, and a special THANK YOU TO, Braulio, the Concierge, with his help we were able to get a limo to go out to breakfast, and visit the Tower (a shopping mall). The overall experience was awesome ,very clean, remarkable rooms, excellent staff! I strongly recommend this hotel! 💯
