"Wonderful place to stay"
We enjoyed our stay at Loews from the moment we arrived until we left. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was large with a bed, sitting area and nice sized television. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was a good size with all the amenities we needed. There were bath robes provided in the room and a refrigerator with snacks and beverages available for purchase. I ordered room service twice and the food was absolutely delicious -- my choices were chicken noodle soup and fried green tomatoes for one of the meals and a tasty grilled chicken salad for the other. We were on the concierge level which consisted of a nice area for breakfast and also a place, later in the day, for wine or beer and food items like cheese, fruit, grilled vegetables, mini quiches and the like. It was a good place to watch some college football as we enjoyed the cocktail hour. We would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again the next time we travel to Nashville.
My overall impression of the service was dissatisfactory primarily for 2 reasons. Firstly, after checking into our room, my travel companion and I were disappointed with the quality of our room. My friend's bed was covered with hair and stains and it looked like the bed linen had not been changed since the last guest. Along with that, there appeared to be an infestation of lady bugs along the window and inside of the curtains of the room. That really freaked me out and I was unable to stay in such a room because of that. We had to move to another room on the day of check-in which was an inconvenience to say the least. Secondly, after what was an adventurous first day in Nashville, we were tired and eager to get some rest. A few hours into hour sleep we were awoken by a false fire alarm! It was quite disturbing and went on for a good 15 minutes. It was difficult falling back to sleep after that. Needless to say, we were not refreshed the next day due to the false alarm in the middle of 30 degree weather. Van - the bell man was awesome! Tony was awesome and professional as well.

I stayed at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel during Thanksgiving. In fact, this was the hotel I stayed at on the last night of a 9 day 2,000 mile trip. I selected Loews because I was traveling with my two dogs and was really impressed by their website as it related to dogs. I mean, after all, they even have a hashtag indicating their love of animals (#Loewslovespets). I mention my dogs because they were the sole reason I selected this hotel. I could have stayed at another nearby hotel, stayed at the chain I normally stay at with my pups, or simply driven through Nashville and made it home to my own bed (I live about 5 hours away). I was also happy about their late Sunday checkout and had planned to have a lazy morning before heading home. When I booked my room, I indicated I was traveling with my two dogs. I also called two weeks prior to my stay to make sure they knew I had my dogs. I was pretty surprised when I arrived to check-in and they did not know I had my dogs. I guess I could have kept it quiet and skipped the pet fee but, again, my purpose for being at Loews was to do something special for my dogs. From their website, I knew my girls were supposed to receive a goodie bag. They did not. In fact, no mention was made. They did find someone to take my bags. I knew it wasn't going to end well when I had to clarify, more than once, what room I was staying. I eventually made it to the room with my dogs. My bags were not there and, in fact, were not delivered for another hour. I later found out they sat unattended in the lobby. During the wait for my bags (which included all the supplies for my dogs), I called to see if we could get their goodie bags. I was told they were working on it. After another hour, I called and was told they had nothing for the bags. No apology, no trying to make it right, nothing. I did tell the person, on the phone, I was disappointed. They really could have cared less. I did order room service, including a meal for my dogs. I ordered chocolate chip cookies for desert and that turned out to be a can of Coke. By the time dinner was delivered, I was over the experience. The girls' meal was fine but I could have also picked up something similar staying at just about any other hotel. I guess I didn't really get the whole "LoewsLovesPets" nor did I care for their lack of service. I ended up leaving the hotel at 5 AM to get home. The experience was simply a huge disappointment. Perhaps if I hadn't planned with the intent of rewarding my dogs for being such awesome travel buddies, I might have liked the stay better. I have stayed at lots of high end hotels and didn't find this one more exceptional than any others. In fact, I was distracted, a lot, with the noise from the room next to me. I could hear their conversations most of the night. I don't think they were exceptionally loud, I simply think the walls aren't very thick. I did follow up with Loews about my experience. I got a half-hearted apology and was told a $50 credit. After a week, the credit has still not hit my card. When I inquired about the credit, I was told to keep waiting. And so I wait.
"Over the Top Service!"
Not only is Loews Vanderbilt Hotel a beautiful hotel but the staff is wonderful and went above & beyond! It was my boyfriends 35th birthday and everyone at the hotel addressed him by name and wished him a happy birthday. The concierge desk helped me plan a surprise for my boyfriend and truly went above and beyond!
"Excellent service, very convenient luxury hotel"
Great personal service from all at this beautiful contemporary hotel. From the door to the desk to the bar - all were extremely nice, courteous and helpful. We had great support on our first trip to this city from the concierges (Kelly - hope I've spelt that right!) - made all the difference to our enjoyment of this great, thriving city. Thank you one and all!
