New Orleans is natuurlijk de stad van jazz, blues en cajun. Met geluiden van blues en jazz, klinkend vanuit de op alle straathoeken gelegen bars, komt het 'French Quarter' tot leven. Royal Street met vele antiekwinkels en Bourbon Street met een keur aan restaurants en cafés zullen uw dagen en avonden vullen. Het zwoele, tropische klimaat en de vriendelijke de mensen voelen als een aangenaam warme deken. Dus, proef het leven in deze swingende stad en verwen uw zintuigen!
"Our Trip to the Big Easy"
We spent 5 nights at the Royal Sonesta and the hotel could not have been nicer. They had just completed decorating their lobby for Christmas and it was beautiful. We were also lucky enough to have been here for the lighting of the balconies. It was a great presentation. Our visit to the city was our second. The first was in 2003. A lot has changed in the "The Quarter" since then. Not all of it good. We found that the number of homeless people and pan handlers had increased dramatically and that many of them were quite hostile. This is not the hotel's problem I know. But I write this in hopes that I'm not the only one who sees this. The NOLA government needs to address this as it has been addressed in other major cities. Again, the hotel was fabulous. Your staff is fabulous. Desire's and the Jazz Club were great. We came on a Collette tour and that was also great. If I am ever fortunate enough to return to New Orleans I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone who might ask!! The Chabot family from MA.
OMG!!! We were there over a fall break and the people at check in were soooo wonderful. I can't say enough great things about Cynthia. She made our stay. She treated my son as if he was a Prince. He is fasincated by mail and when he commented about the wonderful mail slots you have she made sur he had mail each time we passed the lobby. The mystery of how she did it is beyond me but no matter what time we were in the lobby my son had a piece of mail waiting for him which he read and treasures with his life. He took his mail to school and told all his friends and teachers about the Royal Sonesta. Upon check in she treated him like an adult and allowed him to check in . She gave him a tee shirt which he now wears every night to sleep in. I can't begin to say how much it has mean't to him. The mail, the shirt, the beads and the milk and cookies he had waiting for him upon our return one afternoon. The only negative was the cleaning lady forgot to clean our room one night but Cynthia took care of it and cleaned it when we called. We didn't mind as it gave us another opportunity to lie by the pool. I must say we made the best choice when we chose the Royal Sonesta and the best delayed flight experience by meeting Ms. Cynthia Stubbs. Simply Wonderful. We have told everyone at our church and school that they must visit New Orleans to meet Cynthia. Please convey our thanks for making our son's visit just awesome.
paid extra for courtyard room-so noisey.pool was to close at 7 and 3:30 in the morning it was really loud.I get noise off of the location but don't sell me the extra money and the staff onable to deliver.
"Great location and hotel but Reception staff on arrival let the hotel experience down."
I read Trip Adviser before arriving at the hotel. I noted the many negative comments on the number of lost reservations ! Well - no reservation on arrival. We have been travelling in the US and Gulf and not one problem with our booking until the RS. However, the Front Office Manager did intervene and resolved Sunday's problem and all was rectified on Monday."My tour agent did not send the email reservation! ". Sounds familiar ! On the positive side, the iced mint water at the elevators was a real welcoming touch, the airline check-in computer and printer beside the Reception a very useful service and of course, the proximity to Bourbon Street a real positive location. Definitely stay again, but would check my reservation 2 - 3 days before !

This is our second stay at the Royal Sonesta in New Orleans and it remains one of our favorite locations. The service at the Royal Sonesta is of the highest standard. The staff made us feel at home and took great strides ensuring our stay was excellent and safe. This was our first time on the Club Level and have nothing but praise for the experience and the hospitality shown. Patricia & Brandy are gems and are an asset to this hotel chain. They are warm and welcoming and simply took care of us our entire stay. There are so many options to choose from at the hotel - Desire Oyster Bar (best Chargrilled oysters in the city!), The Jazz Playhouse (great performances), Le Booze (outstanding bartenders) and PJâ€™s Coffee CafÃ©! Our family highly recommends Royal Sonesta to anyone visiting New Orleans â€“ it is in a fantastic location and filled with caring professionals that will make your stay a memorable experience.
