"This was a great and fun place"
Nice clean place, cute bear carvings all over . The rooms are a nice size with really nice furniture. Within walking distance to all the local attractions. Nice pool and work out area. Free shuttle service into the town
"Beautiful property, great staff"
This property is well located less than a mile from downtown Jackson. It has a great breakfast area for early morning risers, and a nice bar lounge area for evening unwinding. A short walk to grocery shopping and several great wine shops. Also close to several good restaurants for variety. I would recommend this as a great place to stay for the price. Most facility costs are high since their busy seasons are fairly short.
"Fabulous and relaxing"
The rooms were very nice, with comfortable beds, modern bathrooms, and our room came with a fridge and microwave. The pool area and sauna were relaxing at the end of the day of hiking and site seeing. The shuttle service to places around town made for a very enjoyable time going out without having to find parking.
"Don't dig too deep"
For the price per night it's certainly a down grade. There are other boutique hotels that are much better than this as far as service, management, and rooms. This reminds me of a lesser priced hotel. The breakfast is a disappointment, there is nobody at the door to greet you or carry your bags from the car to the lobby. Rooms are dark and dingy and don't get carried away by the fireplace description. Please think twice about staying here. Poor mgmt I'll say!
"Happy Wife, Happy Life."
I felt it was appropriate to read a few of the other reviews to see why the variety of discrepancies between the reviews that are poor vs the ones similar to mine which will show love towards the hotel, and its staff. Check in was smooth and the desk agents are really helpful. I had to wait a few minutes because of a group a head of me kept turning around to leave then would turn back to the agents at the desk with more questions. One of the agents tried to get this group to go to their rooms and get settled and come back at a more appropriate time but people never listen. The two young men at the desk both tried their best to humor this family (I will redact their country of origin I started to feel bad for the hotel staff between the two groups and the phones going off) Either way the lads did a great job handling them and the endless questions. I got into a room on the far side of the hotel but it was quiet. the room was a bit stuffy but I opened up the window and the room aired out nicely. My wife decided to keep the window open over night, we did get a slight scare in the morning with a laugh when we had a bat on the ceiling. I used the ice bucket and the local newspaper and moved it outside after letting it terrorize my wife for a minute. Breakfast was something to look forward to in the morning, a great full hot buffet with several egg choice types, bacon and sausage, bagels and toast, oatmeal and cereals, and what we thought might have been home made pastries but we never got around to asking. we usually ended up grabbing and going for the national parks for hikes. We never got back to the hotel for dinner, more on that below. Housekeeping staff did amazing work for the few days we had at the hotel, very respectful and there was one that always had the widest smile every day. The lads at the desk (forget their names Matt and Sam I think) got us some great dinner and food recommendations. they sent us off to The Kitchen, Cafe Genevieve, Jackson Hole Whole Roasters, Snake River Brew Pub, The Wort, and The Local. In no particular order the food was great and we had a lot of food out here. They also referred me to Swift Creek Outfitters as a surprise horseback trail ride through the national forests... the vendors they usually worked with didn't have anything at the time but I was able to surprise my wife with their help. I found that the two of them (Matt and Sam) had a lot of great personality and did an amazing job bouncing between the two of them with questions and their thoughts on things even when they disagreed on a view they worked together like clockwork to make sure we had the best time possible by providing us with outstanding options. We would always see Matt or Sam taking a brisk walk through the hotel lobby picking up trash and items left by other people... or checking the pool both of them seem to truly care about the place with how often they got stopped by guests. There is a great diversity between the staff and this is where I feel that other guests that stay here fail to understand. everything the staff has to do on a day to day basis with trying to accommodate and have the foresight to accommodate guests requests... I watched a person get all upset with a very sweet foreign girl at the desk from Ukraine, when there just wasn't a option to fix the issue the guest had at that time. The agent just smiled and did her heartfelt best to handle what she could and keep the guest happy but between the three people there was nothing that could be done. Overall I love this hotel and plan on bringing the kids out for the Ski Season when they are older. The hotel gets a wide variety of guests from all over the world and different walks of life, That you could feel that everyone who works here buts their heart and soul into doing what they do. I'm not sure how the hotel fills up during hunting season... will reach out to them. Highlight of My Wifes Trip, Everything Was Perfect
