"Nice Boutique Hotel in Good Location"
We stayed her for one night with another couple. The hotel is conveniently located near Union Square, the Theatre district and other sights. The front desk was super friendly. The rooms while not large are a decent size for 1-2 occupants and were very quiet. The bed was comfortable, and bedding nice. Biggest downside was a tight bathroom which had a single sink and little counter space. It could use some updating. There is a coffee/tea station in the lobby in the am while the rooms also have mini coffee/tea makers. Overall the hotel is very clean and you can tell was recently renovated in some areas. We would stay here again.
"No Air Conditioning and it is not Advertised"
The hotel did not have any air conditioning and we didn't find out until we checked in and had already paid. They said to open the windows, but the hotel is a block away from a hospital and we heard sirens (and loud bar crowds) all night. Overall clean and friendly staff.
"Exceded our expectations"
We were looking for a comfortable hotel, close enough to the clinic where my brother was due to have surgery on his hip. We also needed something affordable, since this trip was completely off our radar until a couple of months ago. This hotel exceded by far what we expected. Great service and atmosphere. Amazing location (close to bars, restaurants, shopping area) that made it easier for us to move in San Fran. I would recommend this hotel to adults traveling for business or pleasure, and the only problme you might have will be wifi!!! It's a great hotel, with a great staff and great personality!
"Old School Classic"
Charming old school hotel, rooms are large with walk in closets, the walls, doors and hallways all have a feel of the past (in a good way). Rooms are immaculate and up to date, fine linens. Bathrooms are spacious, with a tub, somewhat spartan. Although the decor has been updated, this is not a sleek ultra modern style hotel, some of the furniture is showing wear and tear. Staff are professional. Hotel was undergoing renovation for restaurant, but so many places are just around the corner, amazing location, walk everywhere, 20 minutes to the wharf, 15 minutes to SFMOMA. I felt comfortable and would definitely return. One note, no AC.
We stayed at this hotel for five nights. It has a good location, easy to walk to Union square and easy to find buses to take you around town if you want. Room was quite good and the bed was nice. One minus was no air conditioning. Also the wi-fi could be better and also the housekeeping. We stayed for five nights and once we put the sign on the bed that we wanted the sheets to be changed but they were not changed. That is not so nice. Also the front desk was a little too laid back for our style. The receptionists were mostly sitting down minding their own business and not paying so much attention to guests passing by. I think they should stand up when guests are in the lobby. It looks quite lazy when they sit down.
