De wereldberoemde Niagara Falls komen in bijna elke reis naar het oosten van Canada voor. Het woeste watergeweld dat u van heel dichtbij kunt zien vanaf de 'Maid of the Mist' is dan ook spectaculair. De watervallen worden gevormd door de Niagara rivier, die tussen Lake Erie naar het lager gelegen Lake Ontario stroomt. Ze bestaan uit de American en de Horseshoe Falls, de laatste zijn het grootst en liggen aan de Canadese kant.
"taxes ruined the weekend"
Everything was Ok until we left got hit with a $200 bill in taxes and parking for a 3 night stay. no explanation of what the taxes are for. Cash grab by government and business we will definitely not go back it's just not worth it
"Not Picture Perfect"
When to TGIF.... The service was excellent food ðŸ¥˜ not so much... The quesadillas were delicious... The ribs were not to our satisfaction, they weren't juicy as we've had in past at other T.G.I.F locations.... Would we return, probably yes as this was our first time at TGIF- Fallviews
"Never got to stay at property"
My friends and I booked this hotel over a month in advance. Unfortunately, at some point, my bank account had been compromised so I had closed the account and opened a new one. Subsequently, I forgot to update the payment information for the booking. Instead of calling me to alert me of the matter and ask for an updated payment method, the hotel called me three hours before my arrival to let me know that they had released my room to another client and had no other rooms available for me - leaving me to frantically search for a new hotel room at the last minute. My friends and I found this behavior very unprofessional - especially coming from a hotel with a reputation like the Hilton. The customer service is lacking. They did not offer me any help with this situation nor did they attempt to remedy it by first giving me the chance to give them a new bank card. I'm sure the hotel itself is very nice and has beautiful views but I would not recommend it based on the poor customer service.
"Interesting 2bdrm suite"
This review is primarily to highlight the layout of their 2 bedroom suite -- it's unlike any other I've seen before. Hilton worked hard to squeeze in a "2bdrm suite" into their offerings. When you enter the room from the hallway you step directly into the first bedroom. Walk straight to pass the bathroom and into the inside bedroom. What this meant for us: - Neither bedroom is fully private. You have to walk through the first bedroom to leave the suite. You have to walk into the inside bedroom to access the bathroom. For us personally, we opted for the 2bdrm so our daughter could be in a separate room for her early bedtime without us disturbing her. With this layout, we had to put her in the outside bedroom so she wouldn't wake up by our use of the washroom -- it's not ideal to have your child by the suite's outside door, not to mention that we couldn't leave the room/get room service once she went to bed! - Only the very inside bedroom has a window with the beautiful view. So if you expect to share this suite with someone who also wants the view, you're out of luck.
We spent one night in this hotel as planned. The hotel is located at a good centre location. We booked a room with a view over the falls which we had. We were at the 21 floor which had a view over the falls however it was not as pretty as we expected as we viewed more of the roof of the casino as the falls. However I expect as you are some floors higher the view will be better. The room was ok, however the bed was kind of saggy. Parking was expensive however at a centre location and lots of employees to instruct you. We however find the hotel quite expensive, moreover as the taxes and fees are high. Also the tourist improvent fee is high (8% or 9%) and they were not willing to credit this fee despite the fact it as not mandatory. Also the lobby/desk employee did not give a clear explanation about this tax or fee. We were also suprised that the limited explanation was not the same explanation as an employee of a Hilton restaurant (Pranzo) gave about this tax/fee. If we visit Niagara again we will look for better options.
