Québec City wordt wel de 'meest Franse stad' van Canada genoemd. Het is een prettige stad met keistenen straatjes, steile trappetjes en oude verdedigingsmuren, hoog tegen een heuvel gebouwd met uitzicht op de St. Lawrencerivier. Cultuur en historie is alom aanwezig.

"Location is great but this hotel needs to invest a little..."

Alright, before I explain why I rated so poorly, here are the good things: - Hotel Location Is Great - They Have This In/Out Pool which can be convenient to families etc. - Food is okay. Now it's important to know that my needs may be very different than most but weigh heavily on my rating. In my case, I stay at this hotel because I attend conventions next door and it's convenient. The problem is that I am in IT and need to use the internet to work and be efficient. For some reason, Delta Hotel, which isn't cheap, are still WAYYYY behind when it comes to internet speeds. There's nothing as unpleasant as waiting for each and every single page to open. I use special tools like Citrix Receiver and other applications to connect to servers and whatnot, well you can forget it. Be ready to be plugged onto your cell phone. At first, I thought it had to be an issue with the switches. I called the front desk, who gave me the support number. I called them and gave them my horrible speeds and they said it was normal and that there were no other options. Delta, technology is improving leaps and bounds and you are doing a poor effort at keeping up. It's great that you offer all types of plugs in the room but let's not forget the essential: Online browsing. As for myself, until they finally decide to invest a little, I will be spending my nights elsewhere. As usually when I come down to Quebec, I stay in rooms half the price with most of the same amenities and 10x the internet speed so we can function a little. I realize that internet speeds are small potatoes to tourists but businessmen like myself, it's essential.

"Multiples advantages for Marriot Premium members"

The rooms were okay with water bottle everyday but the best part of the hotel is the reserved lounge on the 12th floor. It offers a free buffet style breakfast in the morning, snacks during the day, a place to work 24_7 and chips at night. Unfortunately for some it's reserved for frequent Marriot or Delta members. The outside heated pool is especially great in the winter. The hotel is very close to the "Grande-Aller", the "Chateau Frontenac" and the historic Plains of Abraham.

Dont look under the Heater! Haaa! Laying in bed looking out the window... Something glinting in the sun... Someones dropped dropped pill... Ewe? Other than that... Nice.. Hot water is wow... Toilets flush every time! However, took 4 days to discover they cater to people with food allergies... I finally got scrambled eggs, no milk!! But was there? I dont feel so good... So if you are not allergic to anything and dont mind the glint under the heater... FABULOUS! LOVELY BED, white sheets and room service.. Enjoy!

"Two nights stay during Winter Festival"

Driving from USA after work for 8 hours and arrive late at night around 12.30 AM to attend the winter festival and ICE hotel. The check-in process was very slow. There was a family with two kids checked-in in front of me, they did not have a reservation and the receptionist, Zouhair, took around 15 minutes just to check them in. I used the mobile check-in one day before thru Marriott app and I had received the message that the room was ready as I chose to check-in at 8 PM. As platinum, no upgrade was given. As my turn to check-in, the key room was not ready and the room was given not as I reserved (two queen beds). I was given a king bed. Then, I asked that I reserved two queen beds and he told me that all the two queen beds room were full. I saw two ready key for mobile check-in guests, then I asked him that one of them might be for me since I did the mobile check-in one day before. He told me that they were not. He said that he would try to check if there was a room with two queen beds. He then told me that I was given a king bed with a sofa bed room. Then, I told him that per platinum benefit, I will receive 100 USD as a compensation if the hotel could not meet the bed guaranteed room. As soon as I said that, he surprised and called the family who checked-in in front of me that about to go to their room. He then gave them a suite room with the king bed with sofa bed and an access to club lounge which it is fine as a compensation to them. What mad me mad was that the two queen beds room that he gave them was actually the room that I reserved. He just lied in my face that one of the ready key was not for me as I saw him that he used one of the key envelope out of two in the desk with my name. No apologize or what so ever. He just gave me the key and that's it. Then, I told him that I wanted to do the valet parking. He just asked me to leave it in front of the hotel. Then, I asked him about the club lounge access as the room was not located in the club lounge floor at 9th floor (need key access to go to 11 and 12 floor). He then said "ooo... you are gold or platinum elite", then asked me to give back the keys so he could put the access to the club lounge floor. He did not even welcome me as platinum like most Marriott hotels nor I was offered the welcome gift. The total check-in time took about 45 to 60 mins The next day, I was about to go to the club lounge. At the elevator, one of the Delta hotel staff in the elevator and about to go to 12th floor where the club lounge was located. I went out with him to 12th floor. He directly told me that I was not allowed to the 12th floor without even asking if I was a gold or platinum elite. I told him that I had the access as a platinum elite. No sorry from him then he just walked away. After the breakfast, I went to the receptionist desk asking for the General Manager. Only Front Office Manager, Rejeanne Guimond, was available. I told her about my experiences the day before and the one in the club lounge floor. Also, I told her that the receptionist, Zouhair, did not offer me the platinum arrival gift. She then told me that she will give the $10 coupon at the restaurant and 500 extra point. I then told her that as a platinum, there was a compensation of 100 usd for forgetting the arrival gift. She told me that she would contacted me regarding the compensation. Later, she sent me an email to pick up the 100 USD Marriott gift card from the receptionist. When I picked it up, instead of 100 USD, I was given 120 CAD which is about 89 USD at that time. The overall experiences were very bad. This was my third time in Quebec City, the last two I stayed in Hilton and Marriott. This time, as Delta became part of the Marriott. This was the reason I chose to stay here. The room was clean and okay. The lounge and the food was nice as given breakfast in the morning (not many choices) and snacks in the afternoon around 5-7 PM. The swimming pool and fitness center were nice especially the warm outside swimming pool with snow around the pool. The valet parking was nice as they took the car very fast and helped with the luggage. Of course, after the tip. After about two weeks after the stay, I had not received the stay points and the 500 points that the front office manager said want to give. I would not recommend people to stay here. I recommend either Marriott or Hilton.

"Updated and great Workout room"

We had a nice stay at the Delta. The location is very close to Old Montreal. Our room was update. The workout room was one of the best we have been in. Nice clean equipment, free weights, treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, etc. The outdoor pool was fun but a little worn looking. It could use an update.
