Vancouver, de Gateway van de Pacific, is een van de populairste steden ter wereld. En niet voor niets. Vancouver is tevens uitvalsbasis voor een (auto-)reis door het westen van Canada of voor een uitstapje naar Vancouver Island.

"Quite a Gem in Downtown"

To begin with, I was notified by the hotel that their elevator will be going through some renovation during my stay. So, they offered either a free cancellation or 30% discount from the rate I already had with them. Of course, I took the discount – I researched the hotel and there are not many floors so not having an elevator was not a deal breaker for me. Definitely a plus for the hotel to let me be aware at least before my arrival. When I arrived at the property, I was welcomed by the automatic doors (very convenient for those who have a lot of luggage to carry and do not have hands to open the door). Check in went very smoothly and I even got a free upgrade room! When I got to my room, it was a little bit smaller than I expected since I got upgrade from a queen to a king. Then again, it is just me and I am not going to complain on a free upgrade. I really appreciate the number of outlets in the room and great channels on television. Unfortunately, on my first night, my blow dryer was working very weird. I thought it was maybe the connection but it was not. The moment I turned it on, it sounded like firecrackers. I was so scared! The very next day, I told the front desk, the problem, before I left for the day and came back to a brand-new blow dryer. And also, since I was on the first floor, I would hear the music from the restaurant next door but luckily, I didn’t sleep till late so it didn’t bother me that much – just heads up for those who sleep early, the first floor may not be for you! I do not remember the names but it was during the PM shift, when I passed by the front desk, the gentleman with the beard and a small bun acknowledged me with a smile and a hello, while the other girl with glasses never looked up to do the same gesture – so naturally I went to him and ask him a few questions in regards to taxi and traffic, early in the morning. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. Tim Hortons is literally right across the street and there’s also transportation around the corner. Downtown is just a few blocks away. Although be careful walking because there are some homeless and sketchy people around but then again, that's nothing new these days. Still, I will come back to this property when I can!

"One week for congres"

Apart from the fact that we came across some work after fire for the restaurant/bar, everything was perfect and friendly. Close to everything and a gym that is included in the price of the room. Wifi well working for me.

"Affordable downtown stay"

I booked a room here for one night at the last minute - I was in Vancouver for work and decided to stay for an extra day. I got an "elevator remediation" deal and paid a little over $80 for one night. For downtown Vancouver, this is a steal, and to be totally honest, I didn't expect much. The hotel, however, far exceeded my expectations. The room was clean and well-equipped with coffee, tea, shampoo, conditioner, mouth wash etc. A variety of pillows was supplied, and all were quite comfortable. The bed was a little soft, but that's more a matter of personal preference. The hotel offers a $10 buffet breakfast. I didn't have it, as I was meeting friends elsewhere, but it sounded great and looked like a great price for the amount of food. I'll take advantage of it next time I'm there. The hotel is a short walk from Vancouver City Centre skytrain (on the Canada line to the airport and to buses to/from the ferries). It's also close to Granville station, which connects to the other Skytrain lines. This makes it perfectly located. I found it pretty quiet - the windows are thick, and I didn't really hear any outside noise. I was pleasantly surprised. Seeing as I was there on a Saturday night, I was impressed that the windows blocked out the noise of partiers on Granville St. The Comfort Inn provided a clean, affordable place to stay in the heart of downtown. The staff were friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be staying here next time I'm back in Vancouver and I'm so glad to have found a convenient and clean place to stay.

"Overnight stay for a concert"

I stayed her with my daughter for a night after seeing the Sam Roberts concert. She's 9 and loves the band. Upon arrival, the front desk staff were so amazing and genuine. They listened to my request of wanting to be higher up to avoid noise from the pub. They upgraded our room. They were super sweet, and kind. The room was clean and nice. I am so impressed I booked another night in April for another concert. Thank you :)

"Friendly staff tired property."

The staff was very friendly. The hotel itself is in a great location close to everything for a reasonable rate however it's not in the greatest shape. The breakfast buffet at the pub next-door was good and reasonably priced.
