"Relaxing vacation"

After our safari we went to Zanzibar to do some relaxing on the beach. For this purpose we can really recommend this hotel...It is quite, peaceful, offers outdoor activities and almost every night there is a special event planned, like a live band, acrobatic groups, disco night, etc.. As we aren't that much into those activities I can't really say that much about them, because we did not attend them...the beach is really beautiful and snorkeling is something you should do...just be aware of low tide. We were there in September and made the experience that the best time to go to the beach is in the early morning as there was still high water...The hotel isn't called Breezes for nothing, as there is always wind, especially in the evening so it won't get too hot! The food was amazing and very very good, same goes for the drinks! Besides that they have a wide range of drinks and food so everybody will find something he or she will like! As for the stuff they are very friendly, especially Eva, she became our favorite waitress as well as a friend! There is just one thing you should know; free wifi is not included in the rooms. You get a free connection on the pool and sometimes the beach but it is very slow...For 12 dollars you can buy Wi-Fi for your room and everywhere which we consider a reasonable price and a thing you should do!

"Like living in a botanic garden"

This hotel is the best hotel, me and my friend have ever visited, and we have both travelled a lot. All the staf are SO nice and lovely people. The food is excellent. The variation of the food is also great. You don't know if you are goong to get a buffet or a 4 dishes menu, and twice during our 5 days stay, the hotels restaurant was decoratet with a theme, fx zebra-theme. Very beautiful. The beach is not the best beach I have seen, but the pool area is nice, and I have never seen so many flowers gathered in one place before. It is like beeing in Paradise. The rooms were excellent and the service at the top! We highly recomend this hotel.

"The Experience"

Wow,an amazing place to be.We loved every bit of it,every experience. The Breezes people are so welcoming and lovely. The rooms are perfectly well kept, good job from the housekeeping staff, though we never met one of them.Amenities, the spa, water sports, dive centre...all amzing. We felt at home all times since everyone was ready to meet your needs.David the food and beverages manager...the best manager we have met so far.We have been to a number of hotels but never got that attention,he's keen to ensure everything's in order, whether you want any addition to your service, ensuring the food is up to your standards, takes time to talk to guests, very special treatment and we loved it.He's also thorough as he could be seen handling what hasn't been handled well.Come to water sports, for those who are water sport enthusiasts should have Breezes as their first option for visit.Perfect, the sports guides are awesome, give you what you want, but during our stay there we were handled specifically by Ali the BLACK DOLPHIN,a name he got from his skills. He's very patient, polite, willingness to satisfy guests to their maximum, training guests,he was just amazing,he made us leave Breezes feeling like little Dolphins.Would highly recommend him for your water excursions. The waiters, perfect service,we were served by a number of them but we wouldn't forget to mention a few,Esther,Dayana,Mustafa,Ngasa,Asha,Fatma,Boniface the executive chef,Sungura. The different theme nights,BREEZES BEACH CLUB AND SPA HOTEL is a place I highly recommend. They suprised us with sundowners bites, the tides breakfast as you watch the beach, just exceptional.Water sport guys don't miss on the snorkeling part.An experience you can't forget.

"Relaxing on the beach after a busy safari"

We arrived for four days at Breezes following nine days on safari in Tarangire and the Serengeti. The setting is idyllic with blocks of rooms/suites set amongst lovely grounds which teem with birds and there is even a resident monkey (which we didn't see). The sea has a coral reef about half a mile offshore which means that the sea and sandy beach is calm but that, when the tide is out, it almost dries out leaving pools with starfish and fish in them (and a moderate number of sea urchins!) The hotel has a resident biologist who runs (free) walks at low tide. The restaurant is large and is mainly self-service buffet in the evening (one waitress service during our stay). The rooms are lovely with a turn-down service (essential for the mosquito net) and same day laundry service. We had a free upgrade to an upper floor suite near the water (and the small pool). The staff were excellent, friendly, and attentive, and we would recommend Breezes and would stay there again on Zanzibar. There is a lot of security with guards etc but they are not intrusive. It is about one hour's drive to Stonetown or the airport. If there is a downside it is the hotel shop, which is a different franchise and was both expensive and had a poor selection of items. Despite the warnings of the staff, we bought masai blankets, carved animals etc from sellers off the beach (one or two of them have "shops" - huts on the edge of the beach) who had better stuff for about half or quarter of the price

"Relaxing honeymoon after our safari "

We arrived at the hotel after a four night safari, we were shown to a suite with a very limited sea view but otherwise a beautiful view. The room was very large, the bed I'm pretty sure the biggest I have ever seen, beautifully decorated! The balcony also huge had two sun beds plus sofa table and chairs to enjoy a more comfortable setting! The hotel is in the most beautiful setting and is sure to take your breath away! The maid service at this hotel was faultless, every day the rooms were tidied mosquito nets put up and turned down and each morning they were by far the happiest and politest workers there! So friendly - seeing them every morning was a lovely start to the day! :) The hotel it's self was very well maintained, clean and tidy, however on our final three days we found the pool did have a lot of dead bugs and things floating around. I'm not sure but this could have been due to the rain - and there was always a pool man working to keep it clean for the guests! The food was absolutely delicious, we enjoyed having a set menu with a choice of mains! This made us feel less like we were on a half board holiday (buffet) and made the hotel feel higher class! Although whilst there we did enjoy two buffets which were very enjoyable!! The hotel were informed I had a shell fish allergy, which I was very worried about initially - however all the waiting on staff were aware of this and spoke to me about it each evening offering me and informing me of the alternative! Only on one occasion was I served prawns to start - but once I had explained to the waitress my allergy she was very apologetic and very quickly swapped the starter for me which I was happy with! During dinner entertainment is provided, amazing if you get the front tables - however if you don't then there are tables set up for you to go after dinner and enjoy the shows! Our favourite was the acrobats and the African beach party! We had a meal booked at tides restaurant - this was a beautiful probate dining experience for my husband and I! Our waiter Seth was perfect, Polite and spoke English very well, he kept us happy and served us all evening with a smile! After this meal Seth remembered us the following morning and asked us if we had enjoyed our meal etc and from then on always came over to speak to us and ask how we were and were we happy etc! Most certainly the best waiter we had all holiday and we enjoyed how personal he made it feel! The food served was some of the best food we have ever had and would most certainly recommend this treat to yourselves! We also booked a sultans bath and massage at the spa! We did find the spa very expensive however the 75 minute massage was very good and made it worth while! Over all we did find the hotel very expensive - food and drinks expensive however very nice! The shop very expensive however again very nice things for sale I guess you get what you pay for! the suncream... well make sure you take enough with you as one bottle of factor 30 Niva suncream cost 30 dollars!! 😳 We enjoyed a trip to stone town and prison island arranged via the hotel, unfortunately our guide did not make it - however the taxi drive took his place and did a fantastic job - showing us the local life and the sadness of the slavery! Thankfully it was an over cast day which made this trip very enjoyable I imagine in the very hot sunshine this trip could have been harder! We enjoyed prison island and was a highlight to our trip! Most certainly worth the money! We also enjoyed the snorkelling trip with the hotel! This was the first time I had ever done this and was a little nervous the staff were great and gave me a life jacket to help me relax and kept a close eye on me until I felt comfortable enough and was off chasing the amazing fish around the reefs! If anything you book at the hotel this is a definite seeing a whole other world under the sea was amazing! We had a very enjoyable relaxing week at beeezes and most staff were very helpful and friendly. The one thing we felt this hotel was let down with was the chasing of you to sign your bill. When ordering anything you give your room number so the items can be placed on your room and I appreciate that it should be signed to avoid any discrepancies etc. But often we felt very uncomfortable leaving the bar to get dinner as on a few occasions we had almost been chased to sign the bill. Same at the pool bar if the staff were busy we had to wait to move again as we had been followed or asked to wait to sign a bill previously! One morning at breakfast we were asked our room number and before we were seated to enjoy our breakfast we were asked to sign a bill from the previous night! Again I understand the importance of signing a bill but at times almost felt like harassment and the most important thing to the staff was to have bills signed not allowing us to relax and enjoy things at our own pace! After all this we did have a problem with our final bill, however the hotel management quickly looked into this and were very apologetic and resolved the issue which we felt was dealt with in a great manner! Thank you We had a lovely end to our honeymoon and were very sad to leave what we believe to be paradise! We hope one day to return to beeezes! Thank you for the memories xxx
