Het kleurrijke Boquete wordt ook wel ‘het bloemendorp’ genoemd. Het is gelegen in een prachtige omgeving, in de groene hoogvlakten van de provincie Chiriqui, langs de grens met Costa Rica.
My wife and I flew from Panama City to David a very pleasant and safe flight . It was an hour drive to get here from David on generally easy roads until the last few miles. It was quite remote but we were extremely pleased when we got there. The hotel is situated in a beautiful setting overlooking the Gulf of Chiriqui., a relatively undeveloped part of Panama. It was quite luxurious and the food was excellent. We ate fresh fish every night with excellent preparation and service in a gorgeous setting. The rooms were very nice and the staff could not have been more pleasant. It is a fairly remote place so all of your time is spent on the resort. We never felt that the prices were exorbitant despite the fact it was the only place to eat. While we were there we went for the boat tour as well as an inshore all day long fishing trip . IWe would love to go back again if given the opportunity.
My wife and I had a nice stay here. We loved our room and found it so relaxing and comfortable. We liked the infinity pool up on the hill; it was small but decent for the size of the hotel. The beach at the hotel was so small and not really one you'd want to sit on, but the beaches on the outer islands were very pretty. I'm not the type who is good at relaxing and doing nothing, but found it easy here in the peaceful setting. Four days was a good length of a stay here though for that reason. We were going to rent a kayak but were told they were $15 per person for singles or $25 for a double. They said this was for four hours but that wouldn't have been long enough because we wanted to take them to the beach side on Boca Brava. They also had those upright machines that look like an elliptical that moves in the water. That would have been a good workout but was $30. It was just too much. Since there are limited activities it would be niceness if the use of these things were included.
"Nice property "
My husband and I stayed for four nights in the Deluxe Bungalow at the end of 2.5 weeks traveling around Panama. We found the property to be beautiful and relaxing--a great way to wind down after an amazing but tiring trip. We stayed in 7 different hotels/resorts throughout our travels, and the room we had here was the most comfortable. The AC worked well consistently (we like it nice and cold for sleeping) and the bed was very soft in the room we chose. It was a spacious room with plenty of closets and drawers. It was great to unpack everything and settle in after living out of a suitcase for two weeks. We loved the private little yard and hot tub; my husband usually dislikes hot tubs but this one wasn't overly hot so you could sit and enjoy it even in the steamy climate. The service was also excellent. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The managers/owners were present and tried to get to know each guest. You could tell they put a lot of work into the hotel and restaurant and cared about the customers. We thought the food was a little overhyped. It was definitely good, but we didn't think it was the best ever like we had read. We do travel quite a lot though, so take that with a grain of salt (pun?). As other reviews mentioned, there basically is no beach here. This was the one major drawback. We didn't really care for the beach on Boca Brava either. The $3 per person water taxi price (each way) was kind of high for how short of a boat ride it was. Once you arrived on the Boca Brava it was about 20 minutes walking to the other side where the beach is. After spending a week in Bocas del Toro (where water taxis are dirt cheap) we felt like $3 per person should have at least got you directly to the beach (a 5 minute boat road instead of 2). Not that we mind walking but should have come more prepared (less stuff to carry, better shoes). The beach was not all that pretty either; very brown. Not the hotel's fault, but something readers might be curious about. We did do a boat tour, and it was kind of expensive ($70 each). It was short for the price (4 hours) but again we had just been spoiled in BdT with $25 full day tours. The boat here was MUCH nicer though and it was a private tour, so that kind of evens it out. The island beaches were much more in line with what we like (white sand, blue water). The one thing I didn't like was how much they charged for the use of non-motor sporting equipment rentals (kayaks, SUP, etc). At all other places we've traveled to (including other hotels in Panama), the use of this equipment was included for hotel guests. Not only did they charge for it here, but the price was high. There isn't much else to do, so this was a disappointment. Overall, we had a nice relaxing time, ate well, slept great. It's definitely a nice place to stay!
"Beautiful and Accomodating"
From the moment we arrived we were taken care of by every member of the staff. The managers, the restaurant staff, everyone was as nice and helpful as they could be. We were also so impressed with how impeccably clean and well manicured the entire place was. The food was delicious from typical Panamanian dishes to Pasta Bolognese. The last surprise was when they packed up breakfast for us the night before our checkout because we were leaving so early. I would highly recommend this lovely place to anyone looking for a visually beautiful friendly and relaxing vacation.
"Best led hotel in Panama"
Stayed 3 nights in the suite end February. Very nice and comfortable accommodation which is very well managed. The views are amazing. It is true that there is not a large beach, but one can book very easy excursions and water taxis to the many islands. There are also 2 swimming pools, although water tends to be quite hot. All staff members are very friendly and helpful. Certainly a place to return to.
