• Cote d'Or (in het noordoosten)
Wij bieden aan beide stranden uitstekende hotels aan. Ook het koraalrif is een lust voor het oog.

"Best hotel food ever"

We have spent some days of our honeymoon trip there and it was great: Very nice hotel with great beach. But the best was the food. We had every night a great dinner and we're surprised how great a hotel dinner can be. Thanks a lot!

"Exceeding expectations"

I am currently accommodated in the hotel and I'm enjoying my stay very much. The hotel is close to a very nice beach, but not the nicest on the island. I highly recommend renting a car for a few days to better enjoy the serenity of the nature and interact with the locals. This is my forth visit in Seychelles, returning after a 15 years gap. The main change is the locals attitude towards tourists; they are more friendly and opened to conversations, especially the young people. Praslin remains the same idyllic destination, being the second largest island is able to engulf all the tourist traffic without spoiling the natural beauty and the seclusion feeling. I cannot say the same thing about La Digue....I am very sad about how things changed on this particular island. Where are the good old days when the only transportation was by bike or ox cart? What happened with the ox carts? Speaking about Praslin: On the negative side from my point of view, the road to Anse Lazio is now longer and more hilly due to The Raffles construction, making this beach less accessible by bike. Back to Le Duc: rooms are very spacious, has modern bathrooms with separate showers and WC, newly renovated with travertine tiles and good quality amenities. The bed is very comfy, as well as the day bed on the terrace. My only comment is that perhaps the wooden parts in the rooms need more attention. Breakfast and dinner are on the healthy side, with plenty selections for gluten free or weight conscious guests. Lots of fresh local fruits served during breakfast, as well as fresh orange juice and/or coconut water. Wide selection of fish, sea food and local dishes at dinner. I especially appreciate that one cook is always available to explain guests about the ingredients used in dishes. Reception staff is eager to help with local tours and tips about what to visit. The manager welcomes us at dinner time, adding to the homey feeling. To conclude this review, I recommend this hotel so far.

"Cozy Hotel at a lovely Beach"

The hotel is located at Cote D'Or just separated by a small road from a lovely stretch of Anse Volbert. We stayed there for four nights in one of the superior rooms in the garden. The rooms were very spacious and had a huge bathroom with a bath tub and as well as a separate shower room. The bed was very comfortable. The flat screen tv offered quite a number of tv channels. The internet was fast enough for streaming. The pool was rather small but looked very nice. The staff at the hotel was always friendly and efficient. The breakfast buffet offered a wide range of food. If you decided to have either dinner in the garden or at a restaurant linked to the hotel at the beach, you needed to reserve a table by 6 p.m. It is important to mention that for both dinner options, long trousers and proper shoes (no flip flops) were mandatory for men. We tried both dinner options and both were excellent. However, the dinner in the garden was served very fast and while we still had our dessert, we were presented the bill which gave us the impression that they wanted their guests to leave soon. At the beach there were always enough sunbeds available. The beach was cleaned daily. However, on some days, there were still some algues to be found on the beach. The sea was very good for swimming. We would definitely come back when visiting Praslin again.

"A real find!"

We loved this place! We were looking for a boutique hotel with a difference and we found it! The staff were friendly and helpful from the outset, Medgee, the Guest Relations Director is an absolute asset. The owner took some time out to talk with us which was a nice touch and they have some exciting development and refurb programs but have a firm intention to keep it boutique. Our room was a family one - lovely decor, exceptionally clean, hugely spacious and perfect for two adults, a teenager and a child. Food was delicious, creative and varied. The children could order any food they liked if there was nothing appealing on the menu for them. Bar prices were reasonable. The beach is a 20 second walk, all rooms face a beautiful garden. There's a beauty room for massages and a bar on the beach for lunch and drinks. We would absolutely go back and are keen to see how the hotel develops. Brilliant for families or couples.

"Very solid option in its category"

Le Duc is a very good 3* hotel located 1 minute walk from the very beautiful Anse Volbert. The hospitality on arrival and throughout was spot on and our room was large, recently renovated and provided all amenities. The hotel also organized a wonderful excursion for us to some islands. Only hiccup is the food which was average, lacked diversity and not enough variety.
