• Cote d'Or (in het noordoosten)
Wij bieden aan beide stranden uitstekende hotels aan. Ook het koraalrif is een lust voor het oog.

"Nice hotel in a nice environment."

We have spent a few days in February in Le Duc de Praslin, and we have been very happy with our stay. The rooms are big and comfortable, the staff is friendly, and the dinner has always been excellent. Additionally, it is located next to a very nice beach. I recommend it.

"Amazing hotel, Friendly staff"

Spent a very relaxing holiday at Le Duc de Praslin. Stayed there for 10 nights and could have stayed more. The hotel facilities were excellent and the hotel grounds lovely. Me and my friend are kind of food enthusiasts and surprisingly we ate every night at the hotel restaurants because the food was so good! The hotel beach is the most beautiful stretch of beach in Cote d'Or and I liked it even more than Anse Lazio, which is supposed to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The hotel staff is very friendly. I'm sure I will go back!

"Missing those "extra" touches. "

We stayed here for two nights. Our check in was dealt with Vincent who was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was ready for our arrival at noon. The cold towels and welcome drinks were just what we needed. We booked a one bedroom suite which for the two of us was overkill. The room was really clean and had a traditional creole feel to it. They provide a hairdryer and gowns. Unfortunately no iron or ironing board. Also for a hotel of this standard I would have expected complimentary water. The beds were extremely comfortable and we enjoyed a great night sleep. We didn't dine at any of their restaurants. We had breakfast there and there was ample choices. They serve nespresso coffee which great. Pradeep at breakfast was a true gem really attentive and smiling when clearly he was rushed off his feet. The staff at reception are really helpful and do what they can to help. Anse Volbert beach is just across the hotel and you get fresh beach towels every day. Overall we enjoyed our stay here, but I wouldn't class it a 4 star property. The rooms need updating and we only received turndown service one night. Also complimentary water should be a given. It's expensive for what it is.

"Not a very relaxing holiday, unfortunately!"

Unfortunately, this was my worst holiday to this date. Le Duc de Praslin is a nice looking hotel from afar, but once you spent a few days there you realise that you either should have spent more money and go to a better hotel or to have spent less money and book an apartment. The hotel is very loud. There is music in the dining/bar area every night. Given that the rooms are built around this area you have to listen to the music until they decide to turn it off. If you're unlucky and you have a room close to the pool you will constantly hear the pool pump as they have to leave the door where the pump is open due to temperature. Also, behind the pool area is the hotel's "workshop". This is where they do sawing etc early in the mornings. This is also where the emergency generator is kept that kicks in every time the power goes off - multiply times during the day and also during the night. Good, as the pool pump is then off, bad given the crazy noise that thing made instead. This made sleeping impossible. I've asked the girl at reception if anything can be done to stop the noise, but she said no and that I was the only guest that had commented on this. This is a lie as earlier I overheard some other guest making the same complaint in their mother tongue. Breakfast was whatever was left over from dinner the night before and pancakes/waffles. However, the pancake/waffle mix was gone by 9AM and when you asked if they could make some more the cooks just said no - super service:-) Service was ridiculous in the sense that it didn't exist. I did, however, see the female staff plucking their eyebrows by the pool... ?! The hotel is also open meaning that anyone can just walk in. Given that there is a security guard patrolling the path by the hotel in the evenings and that the other houses on that street have barbwire over their garden wall, this didn't make me feel safe at all! Also, just as a note, the hotel is incredibly kids friendly. So, if you're into little ones jumping in the tiny pool and yelling whilst you're trying to relax any where near then this is the place to go. I expect the manager to respond with a rude reply, as they've done with any other "negative" review, but this shows you how you will get treated at Le Duc. I shall finish this review with the only positive thing and that is that dinner was generally quite nice (as dinner though, not next day breakfast).

"Still highly recommendable"

This was my second stay at Le Duc de Praslin and even the third stay for my wife. We very much like this place. Friendly local staff and nice food at the restaurant. The thing I liked most is that I was able to see a lot of staff members that I remember from my last stay. In my opinion that's always a good sign. We will come back again!
