We absolutely loved the stay at Ijen. The owner of the hotel created a wonderful peaceful and harmonic place . The hotel rooms are super cosy. Love the outdoor shower. The staff is extremely helpful and polite . We stayed only for 2 nights but next time I ll def stay for longer. You can let your mind flow and relax . Calm down . Enjoy the absolute amazing view from the pool where you see the volcano . Amazing location to celebrate Wedding's or Birthday's with you loved ones. Thank you Ijen Resort and Villas. We ll come again.
"Amazing View! "
I went to Ijen with my friend and we had an amazing time. The drive to the hotel is already an adventure . The road is not smooth but the imperfection of nature there will just always make me remember the trip to the hotel which was just great. Next to the road we could see buffaloes and the beautiful rice fields. They grow lots and lots of Chili there which is great to see. You can see the farmers working on the rice fields. Once you arrive at Ijen Resort and Villas view just takes your breath away . The staff is very friendly and always willing to help with whatever you desire. My friend and myself we love coconuts . One day they ran out of coconuts but we really wanted some therefore the gardener went up the palm tree, which was so incredible to watch. The guy crawled up this really high palm tree to get us coconuts from the tree. I will never forget that. We also went for a nice walk in the Forrest . The Hotel is so beautiful since it's in the middle of the Forrest all you see is rice fields and Forrest, palm trees . It's got a lovely little lake and a nice pool to swim in. It's a lovely get away to calm your mind . We crawled up to the Ijen Crater . Saw the beautiful blue fire and as the sun arose the beautiful lake. Overall very worth visits Ijen Resort and Villas. Would definitely come back and stay there again. Thank you!
The setting of Ijen Resorts is one of the most beautiful we have ever seen. We had both rain and sun and in both cases, it was stunning. There are 5 volcanos within sight and, together with the rice paddies and palm trees, makes the resort a true shangri la. We don't know who owns this hotel but they have done a wonderful job. The hotel is well-constructed (esp for Indonesia) and well-maintained (esp for Indonesia). We really can't figure out how they could build it where they did--it must have been a real challenge. The staff clearly takes their jobs seriously and managed a snafu well. They were also nice. The only negative was our own fault--we traveled during a domestic holiday (idul fitri) when the place was filled with families. Without their maids, Indonesian parents are at a loss on how to control their children. When you go, check that next door there are not 5 people crammed in a room for 2. Still, the staff did not hesitate in trying to manage the situation gracefully--well appreciated. Mt Ijen is also an amazing place but beware--the climb up is exhausting, a relatively steep 3 km hike. If you can, bring walking poles, we think that would helped. But once at the top, it is worth it--a true hell of smoke and sulfur.
"Bad Location , access, and parking area"
Even the hotel has a good scenery and quite clean , The access to the hotel is so terrible, over 2 Km and it made of soil. so, it may damage you car , only 250 metres paved, but it only can used for 1 car and can't used for 2 car so,vice versa traffic is not possible. In addition, the parking area is not located near the hotel but, guest need to walk 100 metres, and again , the access is so terrible , the bridge so small , and if you not be carefull ,your car wheel may fall into a ditch.Based on my experience on complaining their facilities , they respond it so arrogant and they seems to out of responsibility. Finally, i wouldn't reccomend this hotel because lack of the access and parking area .
"Resort in the middle of rice fields"
Was worried with the drive to the hotel....very narrow, bumpy road through rice fields...my fear was the road reflected the hotel at the end of the road.....definitely not the case. Resort is very remote, but the setting is just stunning. Spent one night prior to climbing Mt Ijen and if had known more about the resort, would have stayed longer rather than going on to Bali. The service was impeccable and the restaurant (dinner and breakfast included with the room) was excellent!
