"Good location, very quiet"
This resort has several accommodation blocks and a central reception/restaurant one. Our room was on the 4th floor of our block with no lift so if you have mobilities problems request a room on the ground floor. You can get heavy downpours in the highands but if you ask at reception you can get transport to your block. Our room was huge with seperate seating and dressing areas. We did have a balcony but we were up among the branches of a large tree so had no view really. We ate in the Brasserie which was also the breakfast room, there was a good selection of meals available. There is a shuttle bus down to the Golf Club or nearest village if you want to go elsewhere to eat but it is quite isolated if you have no transport
"Cozy place to spend time with family"
This is a great place if you wanna spend your weekend or holidays with your family, away from traffic and crowded area. Room was clean, cozy and has balcony. Weather is quite unpredictable, it can be damn hot during the day but cold at night & early morning, but me and my family we didn't have problem with that since we love cold weather and we were out during the day. Room doesn't have air conditioner nor heater so what we did...when the weather slightly hot, we just opened the sliding door and window a bit. And when the temperature getting low, we used the blanket that provided. Food was great but less choices, perhaps hotel should provide more selection for breakfast buffet. Definitely will come back here in future.
"Nice clean place, away from the bustle yet close to the attractions"
First time to Cameron Highlands and this hotel was pleasant. It was a little daunting driving up to the hotel especially in the dark (we reach around 11pm) with not much street lamps and a few sharp turns up the slopes to the resort so I would definitely recommend going in during the day to check in first. Bad experience with the security when we first reach, the staff car park was right outside the security post and I thought that was the car park, turn back out and tried to turn into the resort and I was questioned like a burglar trying to break in, he was rude in telling me that this is the entrance for the resort guest only and after I told him I was checking in he told me then why did I turn into the staff park.. Enough of the negatives, to the positive. The hotel staff at the reception were friendly. The room was spacious and clean, only complains were there were no control over the temperature (it's cold and the toilet seats were also very cold when u first sit on it making business really difficult to start 😂) and that the "king" bed was simply 2 single beds combined. However the bed was nice and firm and the pillows were ok for sleeping on. The resort was gave me a birthday cake in the room which was a beautiful gesture after I have asked in my comments where I could get a cake around the area. On to the food, we only had breakfast there on the day of check out. It was a little pricy compared to food in the area but it comes with a great view. I had the noodle soup which was a little salty. The staff forgot my partners toast with butter and jam for her set, but otherwise the service is good and attentive. Location of this place besides the sloppy way up was good. It is away from the main attraction areas yet close enough 10-20mins drive but take into account traffic jams 11am-3pm in the Brinchang area if you are heading towards places like the Cameron Lavender gardens or BOH plantation. Overall very good place to stay in.
"Great Location - Lovely Place"
The Thai wife and I spent several nights here recently. It was our first visit to the Cameron Highlands and I was so pleased to have selected a resort in a rural setting rather than the several nearby towns. The resort is set high on a ridge and has worthwhile outlooks on at least 300 degrees. There are several accommodation blocks and a central admin and restaurants block. The grounds are nicely landscaped. There is plenty of parking. We were quickly checked-in and got great direction as to how to get to our block and room. We drove to the block and were able to park immediately in front. From there is was a 1.5 floors of stairs up to our studio room which was really a very over-sized hotel room, but not disappointing in the least. It was sparsely but tastefully furnished and everything was clean and worked. The wifi was strong and stable. We were particularly taken by the semi-circular balcony which had two seats and a small table on it and was partially shielded from the elements. In our room there was no bath however we rarely use anyway. Each of the afternoons we were there we had a late lunch/early dinner in the Brasserie. There are apparently a number of restaurants however we didn't see where the others were located but were quite happy with the Brasserie which is also where breakfast is served. There are four outside but covered tables and we were lucky enough to get one of these on several occasions for dinner and breakfast. One our first afternoon we delighted in taking a late lunch while enjoying the sights and sound of torrential rain. We found the food to be fine, same with the smiling service although I wished I seen the egg station before completing breakfast on the second day. The Thai wife's excuse in not telling me was she thought I'd seen it and didn't want eggs or an omelette. We decided to take one of the tours the resort runs and chose the half day mossy forest tour. This included visits to the BOH tea plantations, the Big Red Strawberry Form and finally a walk in the mossy forest that is adjacent the resort grounds. Our guide was very knowledgeable and obliging.
We've stayed with strawberry park each time we're in Cameron Highlands since 2009. Very clean, staff were helpful and friendly. Happy with the many choice of food during breakfast buffet, we loved the pancake with chocolate the most :)
