"Bad service"

We stayed for 2 nights in June. At the end they told us that only 1 person is included in the free breakfast even tho we booked the room for 2 person. They told us either we pay or they will discount it from our credit card. If we would have known from before we would definitely not have had breakfast at this place. The breakfast is very poor, you will certainly not get full, does only offer coffee or water, the "natural orange juice" is cheap juice out of a tetrapack and is charged additionally! Furthermore the cook is very annoying trying to have a conversation with EVERYONE EVERYDAY. There are plenty better options in town!!! Avoid this place

"Good stay in Bocas Town"

We stayed here in mid-April for 3 nights in a standard room on the ground floor (I believe it was room #101 or 102). It was a tiny tiny room, but turned out quite comfortable and a good choice for us. The area where the bed is is truly small, but, there was a good closet with safety deposit box, a small table/ coffee station, a small fridge, and the bathroom was of good size and with plenty of storage. The highlight for us was a very small patio with garden furniture that we could use even when it was raining (we were getting a bit wet as the awning was not sufficient, but it was still great to have that option). The room shows signs of aging, but overall we thought it was a great choice considering the prices in Bocas Town. It was a low season when we were there and it was quiet, didn’t have any issues with street noise etc even though the patio was partially towards the main street. The hotel is small and pleasant. It takes only 5 minutes walk, if even, from where the boat will likely drop you off, so very convenient. We took a taxi to the airport (5 min drive), but only due to fact that we didn’t want to walk with our backpacks in the heat. It’s very close to restaurants and shops, but not close to any beaches. We took a taxi to the Drago Beach one day and it was a 20-30 min drive and cost us $18. There is a bus back that you can catch - the front desk can help you with all those arrangements, times etc. Breakfast at the hotel was included and it was nice. Only 3 or so options are served (eggs or pancakes), but are tasty and sufficient. Nice staff throughout. Overall would gladly recommend this place to others.

"Brilliant hotel in great location"

Hotel is at the end of the main street, 2mins walk from the bars and Restaurants and the ferry terminal back to the mainland. The room was very clean and modern with everything you'd expect. Breakfast was spot on and so was the service. There isn't a pool otherwise this would be a 5star hotel as everything else was excellent. Highly recommended.

"They say "we only overlook the sea", they forgot the road full of lorries queuing for the ferry between the hotel & sea!"

We stayed here for 3 nights in late January flying in from Panama City. The hotel had said they would organise a free transfer from the airport, but in spite of confirming via email the night before it never arrived, eventually we gave up and as by that time all the taxis had left the tiny airport we had to walk with our luggage (for a 5 week trip so they weren't small bags) we were almost at the hotel when a van pulled up next to us - the missing transfer, by now 40 minutes late, and they took us the last 100 yards, blaming the hotel management for not telling them. Initially management took no responsibility for this saying it was the suppliers fault not theirs. However on pointing out that in that case they need to sort out their suppliers and that it just wasn't acceptable to leave people stranded, they offered us an early check in, some wine and fruit. However I suspect the early check in would have happened anyway, and the wine was disgustingly sweet cheap, fizzy wine, undrinkable. The fruit was okay. We paid nearly $200 a night to have a luxury suite with a balcony with a sea view. The room was rather run down, not matching the pictures on the website at all - the electrics were unbelievable, the equipment in the kitchenette was very basic and mismatched. But the view was the biggest disappointment - it was mostly of buildings opposite and the road that was between the hotel and the sea, and from early in the morning huge lorries started queueing there for the ferry to the mainland that goes from just a few yards away. Many of them left their engines running for ages and as this is the road right next to the breakfast patio as well as underneath many of the balconies, the fumes and noise were very unpleasant. We paid a lot of money for this room expecting a luxury room directly looking over the beautiful caribbean - we weren't expecting a drab, shabby room with noisy lorries and buildings between us and the sea. See my photos and beware!

"Very nice hotel , clean and out of the way. "

We had suite 301 which had a large wrap around balcony with views of the other islands and waterways. Room was clean and well appointed with full size fridge, stove, and even dishes and utensils. Located just at the end of the Main Street, it was close to everything but enough out of the way to have quiet when you wanted. It is literally directly across the road from the Jager Nights Catamaran dock which is a tour I also highly recommend. It is also beside the ferry dock so around 9 am, you’ll have to listen to all the trucks unloading. Breakfast was fine, but not super. Our WiFi only worked in the bedroom and not the rest of the suite. Funny enough though, we were a block away at the Flying Pirates stand and the WiFi worked fantastic. The hotel felt safe and staff was friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again if visiting Bocas Town.
