"Great Location, great staff"
We spent one night at this small resort on the beautiful beach (and most swimable along this coast). It is a little oasis in a mostly undeveloped area. The facilities are well laid out with pool, lawns and lawn chairs in the shade or sun and miles of beach to walk. Enjoing a beautiful sunset sitting on the beach was a bonus. We stayed in a studio room with expansive deck overlooking the ocean - well worth the extra money if available. The restaurant is on a patio looking over the ocean - really good food (my husband claims the best fish and chips he has had anywhere.) Reception desk is efficient. Staff are super helpful. We left a speaker cord in our room on check out and they were kind enough to find it and mail it to us.
"To relax after a hard meeting today."
Enjoyed just to put my feet in the water and relax. I cannot wait for the sunset today. I was told it would be extraordinary. A few couples and people. Always i recommend comming here to expats and their tourist friends.
"Fun in the sun "
Las Lajas Beach Resort has the best beach front location in Las Lajas. The room was very large with multiple beds. The food was great, very affordable and had a variety of options. The staff and owners were so friendly. The beach front cabanas were a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beach with some shade cover. The weekends got pretty busy. If you don’t stay at the resort you can get a day pass to enjoy the cabanas, pool and restaurant. We were glad to be staying at the resort because we had access to the beach right from our room. They can also arrange horseback rides and tours. The owner works hard to keep the resort clean and in good condition, which is hard work for any ocean front location, especially with warm Panama weather.
"Perfect beach stay"
We stayed at Las Lajas Beach resort for 4 nights early January and had a great time there. The hotel is located at the amazing Las Lajas beach - once you walk the few steps from the hotel lawn to the beach and turn left and right you notice it is almost never ending... The beach was clean and the sand lovely. The hotel is a nice place, we were lucky to stay in the suite room with is a 2 room apartment on the 1st floor. The bed was were comfortable, the room quite spacious. Breakfast offerings were good - several options are offered to pick from (serve to order). We appreciated the friendly staff, only thing to mention perhaps is that not all of them speak English that well which made it sometimes a bit hard to communicate since we unfortunately don't speak Spanish. We experienced very special days there, too. January 1st is one of the most busy days on the beach we were told since Panamanians love to hang out for New Years eve with their trucks, 4w-drives and lots of music. It was amazing.
"10 Days in Paradise"
Just returned from 10 days at this place and loved it. I'm too busy to write reviews so just taking time out to write this should say something. It's low key, not located in a densely populated area, but it's very safe, the beach is giant, waves are big (not surfer waves, but big enough to have some fun with), bar closes at 10 PM so no one is getting too rowdy; helpful, friendly staff, one of the owners was there — nice, friendly, helpful guy; food was above average — burgers were great, shrimp scampi great, Panamanian dishes good, never got around to asking why they flew in USDA steaks when there was cattle across the street, but I'm sure there's a good reason; if your squeamish about a few geckos crawling on the walls — probably ought to vacation in first world countries; very restful, relaxing place. Located about an hour and a half from Boquete, which is a nice day trip with plenty to do including zip lines. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Room had air-conditioning, which we barely used as ceiling fans and keeping a window open was just fine, had a refrigerator and sink in the suite with two rooms and two televisions. Internet got slow periodically, but pretty good speed for Panama. I suggest having some movies/TV shows downloaded before your trip for those times the internet slows as Netflix will start buffering and forget about downloading large files while there. Beds were comfortable, place was clean, I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
