"VALUE FOR MONEY! Excellent service"
Enjoyed our stay so much! Went for my dad's 60th as a family and on his birthday without prompting the whole staff compliment sang happy birthday in true African style, even made him a cake and decorated the table. Sun downers on the deck or in pool and Dinner under the stars made this trip truly memorable. Rooms are clean, spacious and little patio overlooking the savanna make your morning coffee extra special.....beds are crazy hard though!!!!! Just 10km from Etosha gate makes it well situated for quick trip to the park. INTERNET - is free but only available on the deck and pretty slow, but you are in the middle of the bush, but its enough to upload pics to social media to make friends jealous. ;) COFFEE - Pretty standard filter coffee, but good.
We as a family celebrated my son's thirtieth birthday at the Lodge and everything was really tip top. Staff were very friendly and helpful. it was a weekend of celebration! the only little issue was that the room was not well made up - no attention to detail was given - blankets and towels were left on the floor. But else it was clean. The only hassle was that there was a cat that kept trying to get into our chalet during the night, which was disturbing and we couldn't open the windows because of it. But we will easily return to the lodge again!
They went out of their way to make sure me and my family are well taken care of. I sent out a crib for my son and made sure that he had a highchair for breakfast and dinner. The meals were good, pleasant scenery, and the staff were very courteous.
"Beautiful lodge near Etosha National Park"
Nice lodge with two pools and a viewing deck for watching the animals at the waterhole, dinner and breakfast at the terasse was great, room is nice, lodge is a good starting point for visiting the etosha national park
"Oh my goodness amazing !!"
It was 35 degrees when we arrived at the lodge and we were hot sweaty and just wanted to relax. Staff were so accommodating and gave us a cold drink and allowed us to head to our bungalows without fuss. We were in bungalows 63 and 64 at the furtherest point from the main reception and dinning area. This was not problematic for us as it was very quiet and it was nice to stroll back after dinner whilst star gazing. One evening as we were nearing our bungalow we heard a sound which sounded like snorting. When looked to the left there were three giraffes and a zebra yards from us. How often does this happen in your lifetime ? It was a beautiful moment and again one of the benefits of being away from the main house and dinning room. Each bungalow had twin beds covered in a mosquito net, but there were none at this time of year. The bathroom consisted of a wet room with a really nicely designed. The toilet was separate and by the front door so there was plenty of privacy. There was also an outside seating area for each bungalow to the rear. The location of the lodge is perfect in every way. It was only 10k from Anderson gate entrance to Etosha National park. We self drove our safari each day so the location was important. We did not take advantage of the offers of a guided safari for N800 by the lodge as we knew if we didn't see the animal it would have travelled north or west because of the rains and we were right. No elephants or Rhinos but two lots of lions which was a bonus. Whilst eating dinner one evening we witnessed the most spectacular electric storm I have ever seen. The raised lodge made views across the plain exceptional. Breakfast and evening meals were varied and there was plenty of choice. There were three swimming pools scattered around the lodge and these were welcomed places to cool down after a day searching for wild life. The wifi was probably the only downside of the lodge as it only worked intermittently in the bar area but to be honest who needs wifi when you are in such tranquil surroundings. The only thing I would suggest would be a fridge in each bungalow.
