Over Swakopmund Guesthouse

"Comfortable stay in swakopmund"
We had a 2 night stay as part of a self drive tour. The guesthouse is in the town and it is easy to walk to restaurants. Our luxury room (8) was located at the back so very quiet. A large comfortable bed, a good shower and a very nice breakfast is all you need to enjoy your stay. There is outside seating to enjoy a coffee. Reception kindly booked us our table for our evening meal.
"Spacious, clean, well situated and modern"
Although there were only two of us and we had not requested it, we were pleasantly surprised to find that we had been upgraded from a standard double-room reservation to the large, spacious two-bedroomed holiday flat on the first floor at no extra charge. Large lounge / dining area with television; with fully-equipped open-plan kitchen (with stocked fridge that also served as a mini-bar). The holiday flat would certainly be an ideal place to stay for a family of four spending a week or more on holiday in the town. Quiet and peaceful neighbourhood, easy walking distance into town for restaurants. We made use of the proposed laundry service since we were spending two nights there - the service was reasonable priced and everything was properly laundered and folded / ironed. Good and copious breakfast with a wide choice including a cooked breakfast. Professional staff and management who will make reservations in nearby restaurants on your behalf - reserving a table is necessary in Swakopmund.
"Great seaside feel."
Whilst on a tour of Namibia a group of family visited Swakopmund in November 2016, we stayed at Swakopmund Gesthouse for 2 nights and had a peaceful and enjoyable stay. As 2 couples we stayed in rooms 6 + 11, which conveniently and opposite each other in a quite courtyard setting, outside seating was available and made a great place to sit, chat have a drink before heading off for dinner. The Guesthouse is well furnished, the communal rooms are finished in a beach-house themes, lots of whitewashed boarding. The bedrooms are nicely finished, have enough space for your luggage and the bathrooms have good showers. Breakfast is served in the main house, staff are attentive, everything is buffet style. Eggs are cooked to your liking, top up with cheese and ham from the buffet. Safe deposit boxes in each of the rooms, although a little on the small side - so take valuable with you. Nice location as its on the edge of the town centre, so doesn't have a lot of people hanging around. 4 adults felt safe walking back from the main restaurants at night, so a definite plus.
Lovely design, beautiful gardens and very stylish interiors. Had two night here and enjoyed our stay. Staff were very helpful and tried to book dinner for us in some of the best restaurants int own but all were booked up on a Tuesday night in October. We managed to eat at the bar in a pub but if you do have somewhere special you want to eat then book in advance. The rooms were very nice, comfy bed, safe, ac, fridge, TV. Breakfast was very good, lots of choice. Good location in town, quiet but with easy access to town, nice walk along the front.
