"Great all around"
First great location in town and great atmosphere. Yet centrally located, but not too close to the main throughway the hotel is very quiet. You feel back to the colonial times. Then the pool is amazing after a day of heat visiting temples... The food is great, and the breakfast buffet spectacular with champagne included... Service was amazing and personnel very friendly. Never seen in any hotel, a bedside story to put you to sleep...
"Ideal place to take a break after the visiting Angkor Temples"
We were happy that our travel agent booked this hotel as we could enjoy the peaceful and elegant atmosphere and spend some hours at the pool. Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are not modern, but well equipped and fit to the colonial style of the hotel.
"Great value for money"
The hotel and staff were amazing. The hotel is very central to everything. 5 minute tuk tuk ride to Pub street. The breakfast menu was extensive with great variety. It was lovely to receive a little treat every night and the bedtime stories were a perfect touch.
"A great place to stay - but has some issues on communication and maintenenance"
This is a beautiful and centrally located hotel, with very nice warm and colourful interiors. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Beds are comfortable and toilet amenities of good quality . Towels are fresh and in good condition. The staff are friendly and helpful. They are always willing to give you information and assist with bookings for restaurants etc. Kakada in the front office is particularly amazing with his positive attitude and customer care. They were kind in giving us an early check in and late departure. There is an issue with understanding what the guest needs and service becomes slow in the bar and restaurant as a result of that. The team could do with more English language training. The breakfast buffet was very sumptuous with sparkling wine thrown in as a rather pleasant surprise. The chairs in the lounge area are upright and uncomfortable. The gym is really out of date and not well maintained at all .The treadmill is rattling , the cross trainer squeaks, and the yoga mats are dirty. The padded tiles are also old and coming apart. There are no towels or cleaning aids provided. This part of the hotel needs attention and renovation. Some of the floor tiles in the guest rooms are also cracked and chipped. Food was good and the drinks were reasonably priced for a five star hotel, though this was double the price as compared to good restaurants. A nice place which functions well all said and done .
"A quiet and relaxing spot away from the chaos of Siem Reap"
For folks like myself who are well past the allure of the Pub Street scene, and have traveled to Siem Reap for the history and temples, Victoria Angkor is a refreshing and quiet spot. We really enjoyed our four night stay here. The rooms are nicely appointed and the entire hotel has a relaxing, thoughtful design that feels a million miles away from the heavily touristed, party-city vibe of other parts of town. The poolside bar, restaurant and room service are good quality, have a range of offerings, and quite reasonably priced for the relative luxury of the hotel, and Pub Street is a very short tuk tuk ride away. Overall we felt that our stay here was more than just a place to sleep after touring temples in the hot sun, and very much a part of the relaxing trip we were hoping for.
