"A beautiful hotel in a lovely setting"
We stayed at the Pilgramage Village in Hue for 2 nights (2 adults, 2 teenagers) and enjoyed our stay. When we arrived we were actually upgraded to a Pool house, but unfortunately the air conditioning did not work properly, and as one of the teenagers had to sleep in our room with us, which was not ideal, we ended up moving back to adjoining Family standard rooms on our second night. The hotel manager, Mi Wa, was very helpful and gracious regarding this, and went out of her way to really ensure that we were looked after with this move. Both pools at the Pilgramage are great - the Peanut Pool was not busy and it was never a problem to find a deck chair, and the Slope Pool is amazing - a large pool surrounded by trees in a beautiful setting. Amazing! We had dinner in the Junrei restaurant which was delicious. Breakfast was also included in our accommodation booking and was lovely (we went later to breakfast on our second day which was much quieter). We caught the free hotel shuttle twice into the city and it was an easy taxi ride home, so it was actually nice to be out of the city, not a hindrance at all. A lovely place to end our Vietnam holiday!
This is the most amazing hotel! First of all the hotel it self is stunning. The rooms are big and beautiful, the restaurants are pretty and the pool area is the best. The staff are very attentive and with, out a doubt, do there very best to please the guests. Miwa, the operation manager, was very invested in all her guests and bumping in to here was always a pleasure. Thank you so much for an amazing time at this magnificent hotel! This was the best hotel we stayed at in all of Vietnam.
"Excellent short stay"
This place is great. The level of service has been a significant step up from what we have experienced thus far on our trip to Vietnam. The operations manager Miwa has been particularly helpful. The attention to detail in providing bedtime stories each night for our toddler daughter is something I haven't experienced before and is a lovely touch. There is a fully equipped playroom two pools and a billiard room making it a great choice for families. The prices within the resort are high by Vietnamese standards but very reasonable in comparison to what you'd pay at a 4/5 star resort in Europe. The dated website really does not do this place justice as it is top notch.
"Wish we had stayed longer"
We stayed here for two nights as part of a tour of northern and central Vietnam and really wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel is just beautiful, the staff attentive and friendly. Our room was fabulous and the bed was enormous and so comfy. There was some maintenance going on while we were there, but the staff made sure that we were inconvenienced as little as possible. We didn't use the shuttle bus into town as the timings didn't really work for us, but taxis were readily available and inexpensive. As it was low season the hotel was quiet and this meant that on both nights we were the only customers in the hotel's piano bar which was a shame because there was an extremely talented pianist playing to an empty room. We eat in the hotel restaurant both nights and whilst it was more expensive than eating out in town the food was lovely and really, compared to UK prices not too expensive, our bill for dinner on two nights and pre dinner drinks was £73.00.
"A wee oasis of calm"
We stayed here as a large family group and had a lovely time. It is a self-contained little grouping of buildings around a couple of swimming pools, bars, restaurants and the numerous rooms. The rooms are very spacious and well maintained, and the whole place was quiet and calm. We enjoyed a meal in the restaurant, the breakfasts here were great, the pools lovely and my parents joined the early morning tai chi. My kids played pool, and enjoyed the free wifi. The staff were all very friendly, although maybe a wee bit over-instructed to greet every guest as you walk past them with a smile and a cheery word. It is a bit out from the centre of Hue, but runs 4 or 5 free transfer coaches the 10 minute drive to the town centre. We also had a lovely meal at the restaurant across the street from the front door of the place.
