"The typical high standard of a Movenpick"
Nice hotel, good standard and staff service good. the breakfast was pleasant. Rick loved the Phoh bar and we had one lovely, though very expensive, evening meal here. It was the wine that really made it unrealistic in price
"An oasis in a crazy but amazing city"
We stayed 2 nights in Hanoi during our Vietnam tour. Very comfortable hotel, great service and breakfast buffet. Close to the tourist areas. Taxis outside but close enough to walk to the "Hanoi Hilton, Old Quarter and lake. Nice rooms and great shower. Recommended.
"Nice & Clean Hotel"
It was our first trip to Hanoi and we stayed here for 3 nights. The room was modern and clean. We also had the breakfast buffet each morning. Food choices were ok and staff are friendly. There is also a taxi company that the hotel uses always parked outside in front of the hotel if you need transportation. Good location and nearby several restaurants and shops.
"Lovely place to stay"
Very nice hotel - good location - would definitely go back. Was close to the Hanoi Hilton ( jal) and walking distance to the Old Quarter. Walking distance to many restaurants and bars The breakfast provided in the morning was very plentiful and lots to choose from.
Had my one night stay on the 18th Feb 2017. The room itself is nice and comfortable but that was it, my view for this hotel is tarnished from then on. This morning I answered to a knock on my room's door at about 815am and the housekeeper was standing there asking to enter the room to do housekeeping... housekeeping at 8am, are you kidding me?! I told her that i will be checking out today but not at this hour so she left. Thereafter, recieved three conservative calls from the housekeeping department asking about housekeeping again from 8.15 to 8.30am, tried explaining to them that we yet to checkout and the checkout time stated is 12pm so we arent late on checking out. Me and my friend felt like we are being chased out of this hotel since they are so eager to enter our room to have it clean. We are supposed to leave the hotel for the airport at about 9am but we left the room at 845am due to the fact that we felt that we were being chase out by them! We spoke to the counter staff but they handled the situation poorly, explaining to us why it happened. The issue was due to that another guest had checked out of the hotel earlier on by telling the counter staff incorrectly that he/she stayed in room 503, which is our room. The main concern is, he/she definitely checked out by turning in his/her room access card just like all of us so the counter staff should already know that the room is not 503. So why keep bothering us by calls and knocks?! The counter staff did the explaination but it doesnt really matter as thats between your hotel and the misquoted guest, why I should endure all the nonsense created by others? Is that how you train your staff or run a chain hotel or how you treat your guest? I wont return to this hotel ever again.
