"Loved Bahia"

1 bedroom suite was very large - used our kitchen for lunch/dinner prep because of my gluten-free diet. Found everything we needed at the Mercado just a block away as well as the produce market run by Antonio. Such a lovely setting with a private patio looking onto the gardens, a large grass area leading onto the quiet beach. Dark sand but soft and the water was wonderful for swimming - no rips and just a few waves as tides changed. Reception Hector & Maria Laura were super helpful & friendly (let me know monkeys were nearby) as were Andy, Ronaldo, Jorge, Jose, Heiner & Carlos in the restaurant. Food was fantastic! We walked along the beach to Playa Flamingo but I preferred Potrero.

"Beautiful hotel "

Absolutely beautiful boutique hotel. Rooms are modern and clean and beds are comfortable. Beach is right at the resort and is impeccably clean. Excellent service and staff are very friendly. My only recommendation would be that they should have more bartenders during happy hour as you can wait 10-15 or longer for a drink because there is only bartender! Still 5 stars as the drinks were incredible as was the breakfast that is included. Highly recommend for couples as it’s very romantic with lots of great restaurants within walking distance.

"Most beautiful place"

Ocean front resort. The view is incredible, very clean, and the staff is fun and very attentive especially Jorge, the best waiter ever. Always smiling, great sense of humor. Thank you Jorge :) Its the place to be in Costa Rica. Food is also very good... try the shrimp taco mmmm and if you are tired of the menu, there are plenty of great restaurant at a walking distance, all very good with friendly staff like El Castillo, the Shack, Perlas, Numu, Smokin Pig, etc. And look at the sunset view.... just amazing!!!!

"Everything I wanted and more."

This hotel is everything that it should be. If you want the short version, Book your stay here. 1. This is RIGHT on the beach. When we slept, we could hear the waves crashing. The sand was so fine... like silk, and there was plenty of beach between the resort and the water. 2. The rooms were very clean. Look, this is not meant to be the Ritz. If you like that commercial Americanized type of hotel, don't stay here. This place is not for you. If you want to have a very comfortable stay in a place that's more traditional, where you can relax then this is for you! We had a 2 man tub in a private courtyard where we just sat, listened to the waves, drank wine, and enjoyed talking and enjoying each other's company that we don't get to do when we're hustling and grinding in normal life. My only gripe is that the pillows were very spongy with very little support. 3. There were not many kids here. They don't have kids programs, so it was perfect for me and my wife. We left the kids at home this time. No screaming babies, or kids running around the pool. 4. The staff is ABSOLUTELY one of the best things about this place and there is no shortage of great things. Not only were they courteous, they were friendly, they were all very service oriented, they put up with my terrible Spanish and attempt to recall my high school Spanish classes 20 years ago. They made me feel special with every interaction. Daniella & Diego at the front desk were great, Keylor, Andy, and Jose were amazing waiters. 5. This place SHUTS DOWN at 10:00. The restaurant and front desk go dark. There are lights still on so you can sit at tables and over look the black vastness of the ocean, but you won't be able to get food or drinks etc. It was awesome to just unplug in that way. Until then, they have light music playing in the main eating area that is relaxing. 6. The food was very tasty. I went to the HUGE hotel in Guanacaste, and although they had a lot of food, it was no where near the quality of what you got here. Breakfast was free, and not just some piece of bread and coffee. They had breakfast burritoes, bowls, egg casseroles, and my favorite, Gallo Pinto. They had a decent selection of food, for vegetarians to carnivores and everything was excellent. 7. Plenty of tours that you can schedule from the front desk as well as a taxi. For the taxi, they just added the cost of the taxi onto the room and it was a prenegotiated rate which was very reasonable from my perspective. 8. Surrounding options. Once you walk off the small resort, there are 2 restaurants immediately. 10 degrees latitude and El Castillo. Because the resort isn't all-inclusive there was also a market about half a block up. I got water, wine, beer, rum, Cacique, and some sunscreen. They all take credit cards. On the way out to anything, you can take monkey road and see Howler monkeys hanging out in the trees if you go in the morning. 9. Free HIGH SPEED wireless. It was good enough that I could do my work for a law firm, and my wife did several auditions and a voice over job from the room. I could not be more happy with my trip here. This felt like home.

"Nice and quite hotel"

A nice hotel located on the beach near playa flamingo. Rooms are very spacious and the bathroom is above par, double sinks, bathtub, larger open concept shower. Free breakfast included. Both the service and staff go above and beyond to make this your home away from home.
