"Central City Style"
Stayed here for two nights. Liked the look of the place on the website. Booked a standard - upgraded to a Queen. Location is perfect. Tram leaves from downstairs. Restaurants, cafes, bottle, and convenience store on you doorstep. The standard room is small. I prefer a bit more room. Hence the upgrade. Did not cost too much more. The hotel is beautiful. Everything is of a good quality and styled / decorated tastefully with a feeling of modern contemporary class. The service is 5 star. Friendly, professional, genuine and efficient. Nothing seems to be a problem and staff are very customer focussed. I couldn't fault them. The only thing I would suggest to improve is a fan in the room as it got a little hot / stuffy. The window did open. A heat pump would be ideal. Nice touches like complimentary refreshments in the lobby. They succeed at providing a boutique venue and quality personalised service. I'd highly recommend Hotel 115 and would return again. Good work. Well done !
"Good location in city centre"
Excellent city centre location, the picturesque tram line drove right through the hotel building! The hotel is boutique, modern, clean and well decorated. However, the room was small dark and pokey. Tiny window with no view. Doors difficult to pass through with suitcases. The bed was a small double. Bathroom was stylish. All in all pretty claustrophobic. Had we stayed longer, I think we would have upgraded ourselves, but this was just a late arrival/early departure bed for the night for us. Complementary fruit bowl on front desk. Pleasant check in staff.
"Great boutique hotel with excellent location"
We stumbled on this hotel last minute staying in Christchurch for one night. We loved how beautifully styled the hotel was and our room. We booked our room with a complementary executive breakfast and came to the room to find gourmet New Zealand yogurt, cereals, granolas and fresh fruit. Totally worth it and nicely presented!! Only downside of the whole visit was that they were finalizing construction at the time and our door and outdoor space had fresh paint so we had to be careful entering our room. Also as others say, the shower was very odd in that the water starts to spread across the whole bathroom and make a mess but it sounds like management is still working through updates. All in all we left feeing like the hotel was such a steal with the affordability, beautiful rooms, and wonderful staff.
"Great intimate room"
We stayed in this hotel 12/11/16. Room was small but other than that had everything we needed. Was very clean and modern, blockout curtains and no noise heard whatsoever. Bed was comfy, location superb (5 min walk to main Victoria St). Would stay again. Good value.
"A little too minimal"
The hotel was undergoing some renovations or extensions when I visited, so it was challenging to get through some parts just outside our room. The quirky vibe will be great once the work is complete. The staff are pleasant enough but don't really try to engage in much conversation; I mostly stay in B&Bs or lodges when I can for this reason - I enjoy learning about where I stay from locals. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, except there was no desk chair.
