We stayed 2 nights over a weekend. With all the roadworks continuing in Christchurch, it was quite challenging to find, but allow time and have patience, it's worth it. The hotel is very welcoming and warm, just 2 floors with elevator and very clean. Our room and ensuite was warm with very high ceilings and big windows that made up it feel spacious. We had a cute terrace off ours too. Lovely gestures included, a complimentary bottle of wine, chocolates, free soft drink mini bar and quality toiletries. No SkyTV, just Freeview, but given all the activities, sightseeing, shopping and restaurants/bars just a stones throw away, not missed or needed. We would definitely recommend and will stay there again! Thank You...
"Average stay "
Stayed for one night,Room was clean and nice size,Only one small lounge seat with not even a small table to put a drink on not good if two people in room.Free non alcoholic mini bar was 1 bottle of Coke, bottle of juice and water. Not even a choice of a diet drink.Continental breakfast already in room on arrival only full cream milk no trim some fruit yoghurt cereal and 2 plastic bowls and spoons.Good location for tram.Entrance isn't very welcoming.Do not use there non secure car park outside $10 if you do and you can park $5 all day just next door.Car park is a rough potholed vacant section. The decor in the building is what I would call window dressing. No sky tv but free wifi.Over all I'd give hotel 115 7/10
"Great place to stay - would stay again"
We stayed one night - very welcoming, very clean, small but all you need, lovely little library area that I used to do some work first thing in the morning. Would stay again. Nice and central with parking for $10.
"Central Christchurch Hotel: promised big, but delivered small"
this was supposed to be 'chic' and we paid a premium for it (being straight of the plane and train) but it wasn't really. Rooms were small, no food on premises and it was all pretence at being what it claimed. Staff nice enough. The peculiarity of its location was the main attraction: an old hotel renovated with an old tram (now a mobile restaurant!) that ran under the hotel and into the atrium behind the hotel. Now that bit was interesting.
Hotel 115 is a lovely boutique style hotel in the heart of Christchurch city. After not being able to find anywhere suitable to stay the night, I booked this hotel last minute on the day. On first impressions, the reception area was lovely and was well presented, the reception lady was lovely and showed me to my room and offered to help me with my luggage. After being shown to my room, they told me I had a free upgrade: the room was lovely. The room itself was immaculate and had a very plush atmosphere, with a thick pile carpet and contemporary bathroom. Unfortunately, however, when entering the room, the windows were wide open, meaning there was no air-con. This was only a slight disappointment, however. What's more, the mini-bar was very expensive, and at this price I would at least have hoped for some complimentary chocolates or something along those lines! The hotel is located close to shops, cafes and restaurants, meaning it's not difficult to find somewhere to get breakfast. There is also the tram that departs from the building that the hotel backs onto. All things considered, I would recommend this hotel, but only stay here if some luxury is part of your agenda.
