"Wonderful boutique hotel"
Hotel 115 is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are lovely, the service is GREAT (so helpful about anything and everything!) and the location is very central, so you can walk to everything. This is the second time we have stayed there and will continue to choose Hotel 115 every time we visit Christchurch. This was our "perfect" accomodation. Sherry Cook
I have just returned from a three night stay in Christchurch where we stayed at Hotel 115. The hotel is in the best location, right in the centre of Christchurch. It is also a really quaint place - well decorated and very homely. The staff were all so helpful and approachable. We stayed in room 22 and it was a really nice size, had a little balcony and the bed was extremely comfortable. Our only complaint (and why I have chosen to rate the hotel as 4/5 rather than 5/5) is the shower was quite pathetic. The bathroom was a "wet room" style so the floor would get soaked after every shower and the water pressure was terrible. Considering we went in winter, when you come back after a day in the cold it is nice to have a hot shower or bath. However, the rooms were always made up to a fabulous standard, the coffee and tea always replenished and the room was also super quiet. Overall, we really loved this hotel and will definitely recommend it to anyone travelling to Christchurch.
"Quirky hotel that the tram runs through. Nice quaint touches of a reading nook."
Central, right by Cathedral Square, quirky accommodation, nice staff. Tram runs under the hotel, but isn't an issue as it doesn't start too early or run too late. Older style. No restaurant facilities but close to many other options and there is a breakfast cafe underneath.
"Great hotel. Perfect location."
Stayed here 2 nights before taking the TransAlpine train to Greymouth. Hotel is very clean and modern with a friendly and helpful staff. Lots of local food and drink to choose from and having the historic tram below the hotel makes for super easy sight-seeing. Highly recommended.
"Enjoyed our stay"
We were only in Christchurch for two nights so we opted for a standard room, the room was small but as we were staying as tourists and were out and about for all day and in the evenings meant that the hotels central location was ideal. Our arrival could not have been more welcoming, we were escorted to the car park next door and shown and assisted with our luggage to our room. The hotel charges NZ$10 a night for car parking and as with any city centre car parking is at a premium, possibly more so in Christchurch with all the reconstruction after the devastating earthquake so we thought that the fee was quite reasonable. The receptionist told us about nearby attractions and also about the food vans in the square which happened to coincide with our visit on a Friday. The accommodation is well maintained and spotlessly clean, we found the bed and pillows comfortable. Wifi connection was excellent. Situated in the same arcade there are cafes, restaurants and a convenience store close by together with the hop on hop off tram office where various tours can be arranged. We found that arriving by car and relying on a gps a bit daunting at first as the gps tried to direct us down streets that were closed because of reconstruction, however it was easily solved by driving around in a clockwise direction until the autocorrect found a way in, no big deal really. Quite enjoyed our stay here, hopefully next time it will be a bit longer.
