This hotel is perfect and on a paradise island! You must go. Lovely rooms, great service and right on the beach. The breakfast is delicious and the restaurant is also lovely in the evening for a romantic meal. The back of the hotel is having some work done but it doesn't affect the stay other than not being very pretty if you are staying at the back.

"Superb stay"

Excellent hotel, extremely friendly staff who were very helpful. Mr Bird was very active to ensure our stay was a good as it could possibly be. Great rooms with a huge double bed. Staff all very friendly. Swimming pool and access to the beach were all perfect. Great stay

You can tell this place had a good design concept at the beginning. Stylish bar and restaurant, polished floors in the rooms, outdoor bathroom, tank style small infinity pool. However since then it gives the impression it has been neglected and has fallen well below a 4 star, in my view. The good: 1. Service. From our arrival to our departure the staff were very helpful, efficient and friendly. Mr Bird is a little chap who really makes an effort to help out and make you feel welcome. 2. Library. There's a lending library for DVDs and books. Handy when the TV channels are fuzzy and there's no internet in the rooms. 3. Restaurant. We ate there for dinner one night. Good Thai food and not much more expensive than its neighbours. 4. The pool is cute. I really liked it but no one spends any time there though. The bad: 1. Cleanliness. I'm always wary when a hotel provides towels in dark colours - it hides the dirt. So it proved here with the beach towels, some of which were stained and torn. The room towels were dark brown so I can't comment. Around the sink plug hole was black and the lights either side of the sink stuffed with dead insects - photos attached. The water, when there was enough pressure for it to run, was yellowy brown and smelt - photo attached. The toilet seat was stained. 2. Breakfast. Dismal. Some dry pastries, sad fruit, basic cereals, bread, limp salad, rare for anyone to be on the egg station and some unpleasant looking hot food. When the coffee machine was working, the coffee was OK. 3. Room. We had a premier deluxe on the first floor. The outdoor bathroom, whilst being an interesting concept, wasn't well screened enough! There is nothing in the room except the huge bed (actually two mattresses). Oh, there is a mattress, towel and pillows in an alcove by the window. Why not put a chair or day bed there? The mosquito net is too small for the bed or the fact they knot it up each day has twisted it so it is too small for the bed. AC was good though. 4. Ants. Tiny ones in the room. Ok, we're in amongst nature but you have to keep flicking them off you... 5. Value for money. Having read this far, you should have the impression that I think this hotel is bad value for the price. Now consider the really nice bar and pool area, which is unfortunately usually empty. This is because of the price. For example, a small can (330ml) of Singha/Chang beer costs 120 baht (About £3). At the first bar to the right (as you look at the sea) or the mini mart next to it, you can buy it for 60 baht, half price! This renders the explanation "it's expensive because they have to bring it onto the island" nonsense. The island itself is beautiful. White sand, clear shallow waters. Some rubbish on the beach as is usual. It has good snorkelling off the beach - walk down to the national park roped off area to your right to avoid having a long tail take your head off. Lots of hermit crabs around - so cute! At low tide the main beach the hotel is on is about 1.7km long and good for a jog. Restaurants doing Italian food to the north on the beach were both good. Transfer to Trang airport by longtail and minibus (600 baht) was easy. In conclusion, I was expecting so much more from the Sevenseas. Having carefully researched where I stay, I rarely have the need to write a negative review. Sorry Sevenseas....

"Perfect place to unwind"

Wow...after two weeks of traveling around Asia's big cities for business this resort was the perfect place to relax. It has a true get away from it all island feel with no cars, bikes or shopping on this very small island. The resort is literally on the beach with beautiful calm sea with incredibly easy access for snorkeling at the reef about 50 meters from the beach. The staff were great and the food was excellent. You have to also remember that unlike the big islands like Phuket, Samui or even Koh Lipe, literally everything is brought over (even bottled water) from the mainland. That's why it is such a magical place.

"Another holiday in paradise"

Since we came here 8 years ago a lot has changed to getting even better in this beautiful resort. Nature has done its part to it and the trees now give nice shelter and shadow on the beach. The menu and food in the restaurant has improved very much. You can enjoy everything from great Thai food to International at a very high level. The staff has improved its English knowledge which makes it easier to communicate and really looks after the guest in a heartful manner. Also the manager is very friendly and helpful. However you should never forget you are on a remote island here. Food is more expensive than on the main land; even the smallest thing needs to be transported to the island by longtail boats. Our tipp: feel like a Robinson, walk the beach, go for a swim in the crystal clear water and just relax and enjoy this marvelous place on earth.
