"You may never find a better game viewing experience!"

Londolozi is an institution- a gold standard in Safari Lodges. It does not disappoint on any front in the game viewing department. The experience is amazing. The Londolozi Leopards did not disappoint us - the showed up each day. Once with a kill in a tree, another one let us watch her cubs frolicking, yet a third was starting to hunt. Stunning. Amazing Lion and Elephant sightings and so I could go on. World class and we have been all over Southern Africa. The Ranger and Tracker were a great and well oiled team. Very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Camp staff were great and in particular our Butler was always there, always waiting to please. Another good team of people. And yet- there were numerous aspects where the attention to detail wasn't quite as good as you would expect. The food was also not nearly as good as expected. The plunger coffee stewed on the hot tray unacceptable, the choices narrow and in some areas unvaried. Overall rather disappointing and unmemorable. The accommodation on the other hand was excellent, well thought out and everything you needed. Overall a wonderful bush and game experience, which is the reason we went there and would be a reason to return. It exceeded our expectations. We didn't go for the food, but it didn't meet our expectations.

"Wonderful safari camp"

This is a wonderful 5 star luxury safari camp. Beautiful location with lots of variety of animals and terrain. The staff is delightful, from Greg our ranger, to Equalizer our tracker and Kristi the manger all were excellent. Image sitting on you very private deck, in a plunge pool glass of wine in your hand watching the animals go past. The game drives were outstanding. Highly recommend Londolozi!

"Londolozi is Like a Family"

I have been to four safari lodges in Kruger / Sabi Sands. 1) Ulusaba Safari Lodge, 2) Sabi Sabi Little Bush, 3) Londolozi Founders Camp and 4) Lion Sands Narina Lodge. All of them have been amazing experiences, but Londolozi stands out head and shoulders above the rest. 1) Welcome - Will (operations manager for all Londolozi lodges) and Christy (manager for Founders Camp) were waiting outside to great us when we arrived. They may have been waiting for 10 minutes or an hour (we really dont know), but were waiting just to greet us. Right away when they introduced themselves, they made us feel so welcome and you could sense the passion and truly welcoming nature radiating from each of them. It was clearly not manufactured, but they were truly happy to have us at Londolozi to join them for 3 nights. 2) Game Drives - Bruce (our guide) and Shadrick (our tracker) were each our best we have ever had. And they were an amazing team. Not only were they extremely knowledgeable as all guides and trackers we have had have been, but they were also extremely passionate. You could tell how much they absolutely loved being in the bush. At one sighting, Bruce kept repeating this is amazing, this is ridiculous. And this was clearly not to make us more excited and feel special, this clearly was because he was in awe of the game and the sighting. Bruce and Shadrick also went above and beyond. They went the extra mile to follow tracks and try to find things that would require extra work to find and never cut a game drive off just because it was time to get back if there was a sighting or some tracks that they came across. We typically would stay out for an extra 30 minutes to 1 hour on every single drive. I got the sense that all guides / trackers at Londolozi have this passion and are like this, but if you go, you should request Bruce and Shadrick and you will not be disappointed. another thing that Bruce was amazing at was communication exactly what we were looking for. even if he was just tracking a leopard's footprint and he knew we might not be able to find it, he would let us know so we could experience the excitement of the track. and Bruce and Shadrick were so amazing that most of the time we did find it. 3) Game Viewing - Londolozi has a huge block of land and it has a lot of different types of terrain. it has plains, watery areas and bushy / tree areas. this is good for diverse game viewing. also, you can spend 4 full days there and basically always be seeing new terrain and not driving around the same areas over and over. the block of land is great and is probably the best of all 4 lodges I have stayed at. also, it is nice that Londolozi only shares traversing rights with Singita. there are not a lot of vehicles at Londolozi cycling through a siting. I never felt like we were pushed off of a siting quicker than we were ready to leave. other lodges which share smaller blocks of land with numerous lodges have more vehicles and you might be pushed off a siting before you want to be. 4) Staff - Simon, Vusi and Liberty (and all of the other staff - sorry for leaving out many names) and of course everyone else I mentioned were just as passionate. you could really tell that everyone at Londolozi loved what they were doing and wanted the guests to be as happy as possible. 5) Surprises - Im not going to give away too much as I dont want to ruin some of the magic you will have during your trip, but Londolozi plans quite a few surprises and special events to make the stay even more memorable. 6) Going Above and Beyond - I was talking to Duncan (general manager) and asking him about steaks in South Africa and which cut most closely resembles the ribeye. after a few minutes of chatting on the subject, he told me that he was going to make sure that I got to try the cut that would most closely resemble the ribeye. instead of forgetting, true to his word, the next night, that exact cut he referenced was on the menu special just for me and the chef came out to discuss it with me and explain the cut to me. this definitely was not pre-planned and was done specially for me. 7) Attention to Detail - For our game drive group, we were matched with 2 other married couples all around our age. Londolozi specifically did this to try and ensure compatibility. I have found that at all of the other lodges we were seemingly matched randomly with older couples and other groups that while friendly and nice to be with, we did not have as much chemistry with. a lot of this could be luck of timing and when we arrived and who is staying at the camp, but I think Londolozi goes above and beyond to try and match people to the extent they are able. 8) I am sure I am missing a bunch, but just want to repeat that my experience at Londolozi was absolutely amazing. all four lodges I have visited were amazing and you honestly cant go wrong at any of them, but Londolozi is head and shoulders above the rest. I have made life long friends at Londolozi and am looking forward to a return visit in the near future and having any of the people in the group that I was grouped with for the drives or other staff at Londolozi that we got to know over our few days there and become friends with visit me in the U.S. if they ever plan a trip.

"Quite simply.........wow!"

Londalozi was our third and final destination and our three nights stay was a delight. We were lucky enough to be given a family room with a plunge pool for just the two of us, the accommodation was huge and luxurious. The food was excellent. The cold spread for breakfast was amazing as were the cooked options for breakfast. We did not have lunch on any of the days but the menu always had plenty of choice. Dinner did not disappoint, always high quality and plenty of it. Our ranger Bruce and tracker Robert made a very good team, Bruce was very insightful and Robert's tracking skills were a joy to watch in action. We managed to see the big five within 45 minutes on one of our early morning drives, can you imagine our reaction, I think Bruce & Robert were as surprised as us!!!! Founders Camp is a true delight, obviously not cheap, but we thought overall was very good value. Many thanks to Christy for organising the wonderful Sundowner on our final drive. We cannot wait to return.

"Truly unbelievable wonderful experience"

We spent 3 nights at Londolozi with our kids (11 and 14). It was a truly world class experience. The accommodations are beautifully designed and very comfortable. The food was truly outstanding during all meals, from breakfast to dinner, and the staff accommodated my son's allergies without any issues or hesitation. They even provided special items specifically for him on the lunch buffet and not just by request. The service was also flawless - always present in a non-obtrusive but incredibly attentive way - this is a hard balance to achieve and not many places can manage it. And the best part was the game drives and the activities. We had the safari jeep all to ourselves and our guide and tracker went out of our way to find the animals we were interested in seeing. And we did see so much in a short time. Thank you Helen, Guy and Cedric and everyone else so much for an incredible experience. We would love to return some day.
