"Good value 3 star hotel with centralized location"
I stayed in superior double room on 5th floor for 4 nights under 2 separate bookings in Sep 2016. The hotel has good location and is close to BTS on one side, while it is a short walking distance to Silom Road and night market on the other side. There are few restaurants on the ground level and nearby. I stayed in Sep 2016 and I believed I got a good discount due to low season. Checkin process was quick and the receptionist was cheerful. She managed to locate my 2 bookings quickly and linked them together so that I stayed in the same room throughout. The room size is quite spacious despite there is a 6" king size bed. All the amenities for 3 star hotels are available. This is not a new hotel, so there are wear and tear here or there. But overall, the room is clean and functional. The room has no view but facing car park of another building. But never mind. Bathroom is clean. Shower cubical is surprisingly spacious. There are many switches in this room for different lightings. The bathroom alone has 3 separate switch. It is not easy to remember which is which. The hotel also provides gym and swimming pool access in Trinity Complex residence locating opposite to the hotel. I went there once. These facilities are mainly for the residents of that building but the hotel guests just access for free under the hotel's arrangement. The swimming pool is nice and sizable. I will stay again and hopefully, with promotional deal.
"Was better before"
Formerly marketed as Glow Trinity. Now it has been taken over by CHU hotels. I was unable to book here at the beginning of my vacation because it was full, but I managed to get one night just before my departure from Thailand. Lobby restaurants have changed themes. At the roadhouse bar to the left I was pretty much ignored. The internet was very slow and kept cutting out making it impossible for me to accomplish my airport checkins in the morning. They allowed me a 1hr late departure but one particular older man at the front desk was very disagreeable with me when I was 10 minutes late. The rest of the staff was pleasant. The hotel was a good bargain, but as I told them, if the wifi is not upgraded I won't be staying there again. A shame since I have recommended this property in the past because of value and proximity to the BTS.
Let's start with the fact that they charged me twice for my room. Then the wifi went out for 12 hours. Also when I went to check out they made me pay for a call I made to make a reservation with the hotel room. I called a landline, not a mobile phone. There should have not been a charge. They were sure I called a mobile however I only called the sky bar Cloud 47 to make reservations. The guy at the desk even got hands with me. I couldn't believe HE PUT HIS HANDS ON ME. Also one day I went back to take a nap in the middle of the day, hung up the do not disturb sign, and the cleaning lady just came in anyways, after she realized I was there she left, WITH ALL THE LIGHTS ON. Considering I had horrible jet lag I just had fallen asleep. So annoying. The only good thing about this hotel was the room. The bed was amazing. However the staff was absolutely horrible. The room was clean but again, STAFF HORRIBLE.
"Decent budget hotel in a good location"
This hotel is in a great location in Silom only a couple of minutes walk from the Chong Nonsi BTS station. It is close to many nice restaurants, shops, cafes and markets. It is just down a side street and back a little from the street meaning it is still quiet. The hotel is also about 10 minutes walk from the Silom Complex shopping centre, Sala Daeng BTS station and the Silom MRT station meaning most parts of central Bangkok can be reached easily. The rooms and common areas at the Trinity Silom Hotel are clean, modern and well-maintained. The room includes 2 free bottles of water, tea/coffee, a kettle, a full-length mirror, an electronic safe and free toiletries in the bathroom. The beds were comfortable and I had a decent sleep except on the first night when I found the room a little cold. The TV has many channels and the WIFI worked reasonably well during my stay. There is a fridge, desk, couch and a large wardrobe in the room as well as lots of storage space and power points. On the negative side, the airconditioning in the room did not always work well and I found it too cold on occasions and had to turn it off. Also, the shower flooded part of the bathroom now and again. I did not try the breakfast in the hotel, although there is a nice cafe located next to the reception called the Chu Cafe which is good. There is also a gym, but I did not use that so cannot comment on it. Overall, I found the room perfectly adequate for a couple and it is a bargain given the location. I found the staff friendly and helpful in my dealings with them and check-in/check-out was prompt and efficient with a welcome drink offered on arrival. If I stay in the Silom area again, I would have no hesitation in booking this hotel provided the current rates are maintained.
"Dont stay here"
It is close to BTS but it is tucked on the corner of the street. There is too much seclution from everywhere to a point that it makes you feel like there are ghosts around plus the building is old. Lol. We had a warm welcome from staff BUT after I find them a little bit rude for thai standards. The bed is really comfortable though. But I would not stay here on our next visit maybe stay with Holiday Inn express just across the street or maybe on Siam area.
