"A little taste of paradise"
This complex is made up of lovely log chalets set in stunning wooded gardens. The pool is huge and impeccably clean. Right on the beach though bathing was discouraged because of jelly fish. The location is superb. The complex provides a shuttle (Golf buggy) to take guests to the edge of the resort centre. We were not catered in our package but did eat a few times in one of the two restaurants on site. Food was quite good and relatively inexpensive. There are dozens of eateries in the resort and Hua hin and cha am are within easy reach by taxi. Staff are an absolute delight and so helpful, polite and friendly. The cabins are immaculate and roomy and have TV, fridge etc. I would definitely recommend this place. I loved it here!
"Regent Cha-Am Chalets."
The chalets are very clean, comfortable and individually placed amongst pine trees and gardens. The staff are always very helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them and their welcoming smile sets the pace for the coming holiday. If it is sheer luxury you want then this is not for you but if you want a really relaxing holiday with plenty of good food, drinks etc then this resort cannot be beaten.
"Peaceful, relaxing getaway in lovely setting"
Does what it says on the tin!! They are lovely individual bungalows. Wooden, rustic style. Basic, but enough to get through. Mini fridge, complimentary water, kettle, cups etc, hairdryer, tv. Exceptionally clean and tidy, air con, all amenities within a few minutes walk. The staff on site - could not fault them. Polite, helpful and cannot do enough for you. English not widely spoken, but can be enough to be understood. Little shuttle golf buggy will run you up to the main hotel block and bring you back again. From there its a 3 or 4 minute stroll into the village. Pool area was spotless, plenty of beds and parasols. I imagine it could get more crowded in very high season. We met quite a few who are on long stays, and we had 3 different sets of neighbours in the 6 nights we were there, so many just appear for 1 or 2 nights. Cha Am is renowned for being an area where Bangkok residents go for their breaks, so will have many local Thais in and around. We had one breakfast, which is rather more expensive than the village shops. But, impressive spread and gorgeous setting overlooking the beach. The restaurant on site was a little more than you would pay in Thailand, but excellent food and on first night when you don't know your surroundings, its a lovely meal. It has direct beach access, not the best in the world, but perfectly adequate for sunbathing or wandering up the coast. Plenty of jellyfish, so be aware. We went for peace and quiet and were not disappointed. No reps, no hassles, no nothing. If that's what you are after, its perfect. The grounds are immaculate. Feral cats and dogs - well, as other reviews have said, they are about, but they do not bother you, the cats pop in and out, and there's not a mouse to be seen! (unlike Bangkok lol) Mosquitoes - well - millions of the little sods. Bites miraculously appear from nowhere!!! Tried variety of repellents and pretty much nothing really deterred them. Humidity is higher than average as the grounds are quite tropical, so the moisture from any rain will seem exaggerated compared to in the town or other properties in and around the area If you want karaoke, bars, music etc.... don't bother. this wont be the property for you. If you want 4* luxury - dont bother. Go and stay in the sister hotel, The Regent Hotel. Thank you to all the staff, from Reception to housekeeping, to the buggy drivers.... everyone was wonderful. We had an amazing holiday.
"Great place, good location "
Don't be worried by the back road getting here, as it leads to a great resort. Rustic chalets decorated accordingly, surrounded by trees and well kept gardens . A pool that is a delight and the friendliest of staff makes this a great centre to visit local markets and various attractions. Locally there are many great places to eat but the on site restaurant has amazing food and not too over prices. The only complaint is the WiFi which seriously needs looking at! Overall. If you want rest and relaxation with no reps constantly bombarding you, then this resort is as good as it gets. Some reviews have said chalets need updating. Not true in my opinion. They are comfortable with everything you need. A great resort definitely worth visiting.
Having just left the resort today we have to say it was a lovely place to stay. The Chalets are great, yes a little dated but more than adequate for what you require on holidays. Food in the restaurant was a bit of a let down but considering there is so much else to eat in close proximity it doesn't matter. Pool was open when we arrived which was the 4th of October & even though the beach was being repaired we didn't notice the noise etc. Staff were excellent when we said the bed was too & they organised mattress toppers within 20 mins. Overall excellent resort & would definitely stay again .
