"Nice stay at a gem of a hotel"
Our family had a very good two-night stay at Ravindra Beach Resort & Spa. We opted for the pool villa and was not disappointed. The villa had first-class fixtures and amenities, was super close to the beach and hotel pool and had a lovely villa pool with turquoise tiles all our own. It also came with a small pantry area and two refrigerators. It was probably the best value-for-money pool villa I had ever stayed in. The resort itself has a good layout, with a pool running straight down the middle of the grounds between two hotel buildings. The lobby was airy and spacious. The dining area was okay, with many people congregating at breakfast. I liked the numerous shady trees planted. And the private beach was just superb. You can lie on a lounge chair all day there. Food was not the best out there but more than met our needs for snacks. Being so removed from local shops makes it essential for Ravindra to have very good dining. It came up a bit short on that front, but the food was inexpensive, which was a plus. Our weekend stay was punctuated by plenty of Thai and Russian tourists and even a Chinese TV crew. It can get noisy with all the kids playing and wailing, but that is by no means a strike against the resort. The staff tried very hard to ensure disturbances were kept to a minimum. The front desk seemed overworked and check out was slow but the staff was very patient with everything that happened. In short, Ravindra is just a nice place to stay in Chon Buri. Forget the rowdy vibe of Pattaya and migrate here instead.
"Very nice place to stay"
This resort is a very peaceful place to stay well out of the metropolis of Pattaya. It has a very nice beach and relaxing surrounds. It is not too far from Pattaya if you want to take a taxi into the city. Overall a very enjoyable place to stay
"The best beach and pools"
This is our second time in Ravindra. We stayed in many hotels in Pattaya, but this is the best one for family with kids. It's far from the worst places in Pattaya. If you go to Pattaya, don't stay in the central part or you will be disappointing in Thailand. Go to Jomtien part, where is nice and quite. Very good hotel, excellent service. Great place for family. We will be back again.
"Paradise at the sea"
This hotel is what you would consider to be an 'Asian" getaway; low buildings, lush greenery, beautiful lounge areas in open space, Asian decorations and very friendly staff. The hotel features 3 pools, the one closest to the sea is a saltwater pool, not sure about the others. The pools are located in the middle of a fabulous garden, birds singing everywhere and little squirls jumping from tree to tree. The rooms is spacious, the buildings are 6 floors high and have elevators. The quality of the rooms is somewhat dated, the bathroom is simple and not altogether sufficient: the water temperature is inconsistant, it goes from hot to bearable all the time. In the shower is a small rack to hold shampoo etc., but it was mounted to the wall in a slanting way, so your bottles slide off. The bathroom has an open window to the bedroom, which would be great if the toilet wasn't in plain sight.... not so charming then. The beds are wonderfully comfortable, coffee and tea and kettle in the room, all rooms have a balcony with a table and two chairs. I missed the ashtray though, so I used the sugarpot instead. Not so smart. Breakfast was okay, not really 5 star quality (bread was very stale, croissants couldn't be heated) but a nice enough choice. All in all I think the rooms need a little upgrade, but the gardens and pools, the beach area and staff are really fantastic! Since we live in Bangkok, I am sure we will visit here again.
Pleasant hotel which is clean and comfortable. Breakfast has a varied range of offerings of good quality. No entertainment, tv is limited for English guests with just news channels. Biggest negative was the wifi. Charge for access of about £12 for a week, this is per device but the reception was poor having to log in all the time and slow even in reception. Reception staff were helpful, limited English speaking. Quiet location with a limited amount of things in walking distance. Marina is pleasant but only has boats to look at. A couple of beach bars in walking distance. Hotel runs a shuttle bus for a fee to Pattaya and has no information for sightseeing for the independent traveler. We got a taxi every day into Jomtein for food and drinks etc where there is a lively sea front, assortment of bars and shops. Pleasant enough but Would not revisit.
