"Pleasant stay"

We really enjoyed our 5 nights at this resort. The staff were lovely and went out of their way to help you, in particular Jenny on reception, who also spoke very good English. The room was modern and in good condition, although the outdoor bathroom is a slight issue for mosquitoes and other insects at night. Both pools were barely used and very peaceful. Public areas were kept tidy, although the cushions on the sun loungers by reception could use a wash. Breakfast had a good variety. I would happily stay here again.

"Enjoyable Stay."

We had read mixed reviews but we can only speak as we find. And for us it was perfect. We had a 4 night stay booked originally with a view overlooking the 1st swimming pool (closest to the beach). The room (A8) was large and very clean and maid service every day. The staff were always happy and there was always someone at the reception desk if there was any questions. Breakfast was also available and it included most things you could want. The beach and the sea was stunning and sun beds were available but a little limited in space. Our 2nd visit came about from a not very enjoyable stay at the Pawapi beach resort on Koh Mook. We wanted to get our holiday back on track so we contacted Sita Beach for availability for the rest of our holiday as we liked it there so much. And we were lucky enough to have one of the familly rooms (F1) which was very large and the views were fantastic. There was also a private pool which was shared between 2 accommodations. Sita also provide a pick up and drop off from the ferry and speed boat piers with no extra charge, but a tip to the driver wont go a miss.

"Not too bad I guess"

I stayed at this resort for 3 nights. It was a last minute booking and to be honest, the only reason why I took this place was because my 1st few choices were fully booked. It was about 5,000thb per night for the pool view villa. Value for money? Hmm, it really depends on what you need. The room is old. The furniture is old. The outside of the villa actually looks better than the inside. It comes with an open air bathtub at the back but they really should do a bit of cleaning. Specks of bird poo in the tub hardly makes it inviting! Wifi is not strong in the room. Breakfast was at best, adequate. Nothing much in terms of variety. They have some books you can borrow to read near the front office but it is all in German or Italian, no English. But the hotel is directly attached to the beach and that is the best thing ever. Mattress in room was surprisingly comfy. Hotel staff are really friendly. Do not bother taking a taxi from the hotel to walking street. It will costs u like 50baht per person. Instead cut through the beach. Save money and time.

"Disappointing For a Hotel"

Hmmm mixed feelings about this place, probably because Ko Lipe was actually a massive disappointment (after visiting 8 years ago it is totally different now- lots of tourists & lots of boats & lots of rubbish!). Maybe this is one of the better hotels on the island for views if you stay in the top new area at swimming pool 2 & it is also at the quieter end of the beach. Our first room was ground floor in the new build area of swimming pool 2 which we asked straight away to be moved from as it was swarming with mosquitos & also had zero privacy - the swimming pool was close to the balcony/window & anyone in it could see straight in the room (as the pool is raised up). We were moved to first floor to a much better room with no mosquitos & a much better view! but be prepared to walk a long trek down to reception & breakfast from swimming pool 2 area. However having said this I’m glad we didn’t choose a bungalow as they looked pretty tatty to be honest with most having no views. The big criticism of being up swimming pool 2 is that although it was more modern with an amazing view we felt like second class citizens in this zone of the hotel. The stocked pool bar by swimming pool 2 was NEVER open (we stayed 4 nights) meaning if you did stay by the pool (which is actually quite nice with an amazing view) there was literally no where to get a drink from unless you hiked down to reception or waited until your room had been made up with the 2 small bottles of free water (the only contents of the mini bar). The nearest ‘shop’ is out past reception on the beach so really you are cut off being up by swimming pool 2. There were no staff around to ask for anything either in the day. One evening I had to ask reception to turn the lights on down all the flights of steps & pathways around the new area & swimming pool 2 as it was pitch black - we had to use our phone torch to get down ALL the stairs - so dangerous! I just felt forgotten about up there & as guests we didn’t matter - because all the path ways around the bungalows had their lights on. Seems a petty comment but it was infuriating as it was totally pitch black trying to leave our room/area! There are a lot of steep stairs so if you decide to book one of these new rooms be prepared! There is a golf buggy which takes you up part way with luggage but it was not a service running any other time. Swimming pool 2 also kept going a funny colour - our last day it was so cloudy that it really didn’t look healthy or appealing & the previous night we had had black water lasting about an hour in our room... so I guess there were problems. The massive issue I have is just how cut off we felt at that end of the hotel. We actually had food poisoning the first evening & were violently ill for 12/15 hours & all we had were 2 small bottles of water in the fridge - no mini bar (not that we would have wanted anything but a soft drink would have been nice once the sickness had stopped, or even a snack for my husband as it hit him after me & he was obviously stuck indoors with me & he probably could have done with a snack!). My husband asked for more water for the room to which he was told to wait until housekeeping the next day... until he said his wife was so sick she needed water! I just find this odd to have nothing to offer guests in the room when everything else is so far away - highlighted even more to us as we were so ill. The staff were generally okay - but not as accommodating as other hotels we stayed & we stayed in 5 hotels during our travels. All in all the room was nice modern & big just the general upkeep of the hotel, hotel facilities & service let it down massively.

"Just okay"

We were here in Dec during Xmas so we must have overpaid I am sure. We got a pool view room so thank God it was not far from the reception / beach. However the pool isn't clean and does not look like it is being maintained regularly. The water pressure in the shower room was so low that we all had to try shower in the outdoor bathtub, stronger pressure there. Room is okay. Mosquito galore right outside your door but hey this is Thailand. Breakfast was absolutely horrible so if you can get a deal just for room without bfast, do that instead. Plenty of good options elsewhere.
