"Late night dinner"
Beautiful place to talk... Was raining but that didn't stop the beautiful atmosphere at the restaurant. And the food was delicious best wings and chips I have ever eaten. My partner had Mexican Pizza and it was so tasty. Staff uhm I guess she was just cold.
I know it's a guesthouse, not a hotel. So I tried to judge it as such, having stayed at some wonderful guesthouses in Swakopmund. I was very disappointed for the following reason : When booking they did not say they were renovating ( lots of noise and dust ), their Wi-Fi does not reach my room which is across the road from them, rather than on the main premises, the plumbing is a joke ( it took 10 minutes for the water to get hot enough to shower, rattling pipes and the tap doesn't close all the way unless you pummel it with your fist ), the staff came Into my foyer around midnight to "reset the DSTV " and didn't even try to do it quietly. The breakfast was a miss, they couldn't follow simple instruction. The shower is dirty and the kitchen is covered in a sticky residue.
I have stayed a number of times on personal and business trips to Windhoek. I like the fact that it is located in a quiet and peaceful suburb in Windhoek. The restaurant also served hearty dinner and breakfast and I loved it. I would definitely stay here again.
Had a delicious dinner at Klein Windhoek Guesthouse... good service, pleasant atmosphere and without doubt the best priced and most delicious calamari in town.Highly recommended to locals and visitors alike.
"Great little place"
While doing a tour through Namibia, we kicked off by travelling from South Africa, through Botswana, and started out our Namibia adventure by staying at this lovely guesthouse. Although the town was rather quiet, with most locals having gone away for the festive season, it was perfectly situated for ask our needs. Close to Windhoek, the capital, we were in close proximity to large malls and many great restaurants and pubs. We enjoyed 2 dinners at the fantastic Joe's Pub, with their excellent German-inspired menu, great hospitality and awesome vibe. We also visited the local Namibia Craft Market, selling some fantastic local art and showcasing the great talents of the local people. Klein Windhoek Guesthouse has a wonderful restaurant, although breakfast was rather disappointing (menu and service), their general lunch and dinner menu was fantastic, and the service attentive and friendly. It was wonderful to see that the restaurant is visited not only by those checked in, but also frequented by many of the local community, creating a fantastic vibe and mix of languages and cultures. The rooms are fantastic, all u need for however long you may be staying there. Large beds and spacious rooms, adequate bathroom facilities, as well as a selective DSTV menu to choose from and complimentary WiFi. We had a wonderful stay here and highly recommend it as a starting point, stop over, business visit, or ending point when travelling to Namibia.
