"Comfort with International Style"
Our first stay at The Cape Grace. Great location in the Victoria and Albert Waterfront, peaceful on their own pier. Service is outstanding even occasionally to the point where you feel you want to do some things for yourself. Everything you might need and if there was something you need I am sure they would do anything to sort it out for you. Oh and truly comfort a priority. Breakfast excellent with some interesting and excellent individually cooked options. Dinner truly outstanding and excellent wines. I would be happy to go there again and again and again.... Other more modern requirements such as WiFi are excellent throughout. Parking available on the pier outside....
"Second visit - Still my Favorite in Cape Town"
Greeted at the door - welcome home! That is exactly how it feels. Easy to walk to the waterfront for shopping and dinning. Lovely view of Table Mountain. Tea room is great for a quick bite to eat. Dinning room serves a lovely dinner but make sure you plan for a nice long meal. Staff is very outgoing and helpful. Still our favorite hotel in Cape Town.
"Amazing as always"
Second stay at the cape grace and it once again exceeded expectations. The staff is kind and helpful, always making sure you are taken care of. Wonderful food and very fair prices. Would never stay anywhere else in Cape Town.
"From the flowers to the entire staff there's nothing forgotten"
We were recently in Cape Town for a 4 night stay at the Cape Grace, upon our arrival, very jet lagged and overwhelmed (driving on the wrong side of the road for us) checking in was one of the easiest, most enjoyable and welcoming processes. Everyone immediately welcomes you "home". The woman who checked us in, I sadly cannot remember her name, gave us a grand tour of the hotel, the bars, the restaurant, the library, pool each amenity that was offered at the Cape Grace. Once she found out we were looking for local coffee shops and great restaurants she suddenly turned into the concierge offering us help and many great suggestions. We took her up on our dinner that night (Kloof Street House; great meal and atmosphere!) and loved it! She made us feel welcome instantly and set the tone for the rest of our stay. Once we were settled into our room, with a spectacular view of Table Mountain, we went to talk to the concierge, Stacy was amazing! Again, anything we wanted the Cape Grace made it their goal to achieve it and have our expectations met and exceeded. One of the many amenities of the hotel is the car service, Ricky our driver a couple of times was phenomenal. He was very familiar with the city. Very conversational (and not in an overbearing way) and loved interacting, hearing our take on the city. Next time we or anyone we know are in Cape Town the Cape Grace will be the first thing we mention! It holds so many great memories for us that we cannot wait to get back and keep the memories alive!
"Stunning Cape Town Hotel"
We spent 4 nights here to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary with our children. This is an exceptional luxury hotel and is one of the best we've ever stayed in, all over the world. The rooms are lovely, the staff are fantastic (I love the way they say "welcome home" when you come back to the hotel), the location superb on the waterfront and the Signal restaurant absolutely excellent. South Africa is relatively good value at the moment so if you go to Cape Town, stay at the Cape Grace. One hint - the rooms facing Table Mountain are probably worth paying the extra. Many thanks to all at the hotel for looking after us so well and being so generous for our anniversary and with our gluten free food requirements. Particular thanks to Caroline and Lauren on the front desk, Clinton in the hotel car, all in housekeeping and everyone in the Signal restaurant. Also Chris at Jarat Tours who gave us a trip of a lifetime to the Cape. Many thanks! We'd love to come back and we'd stat at the Cape Grace again, no question.
