"Not luxury accommodation but what a place to stay"

   05-12-2016
Cottages are functional but adequately comfortable and, as with just about everywhere we stayed, a great large firm bed. Not especially well maintained - the cooking ring wouldn't get hot enough to keep a boiling pan of water hot for a boiled egg and one of the balcony chairs was broken, in a dangerous sort of way. OK, the cooking ring might not have been noticed but the chair would have been. Despite that, though, what a great place to stay!

"Beautiful Sunset, Plenty of Game, Perfectly fitting room"

   24-11-2016
I stayed here with the Trek South Africa team as part of our project and we really enjoyed our stay. The game viewing in this area is incredible! There are so many elephants that come so close to the game vehicles, it's really mind blowing to get to experience them at such a close proximity. The accommodation units are neat and clean with good showers and comfortable beds, the deck is nice as you can sit outside, have dinner and watch the sunsets (which are insane) The kitchen is small but well equipped and contains everything you will need, and if you are still looking for a good meal the Cattle Baron restaurant inside the park does a great steak. All of the staff are friendly and willing to assist, they were definitely one of the most organized SANparks we've stayed at so far and the park is MASSIVE - the only SANpark as well that offers the big 7 (The Big 5 + a great white shark and southern right whale) We had a great horse riding ad game viewing experience here as well with lions right on our doorstep (not literally but just outside the gates) The accommodation area is in a secure fence so you dont have to worry about being attacked by wild animals as you walk between the restaurant, booking center and your room. There is good cellphone reception at the main camp and wifi available at the restaurant. There's also a pool which is great because it can get HOT here in the summer.

"Pleasant Surprise"

   21-11-2016
Addo rest camp was the first camp that we stayed at in South Africa and we were impressed with the accommodation and the camp facilities. Our bungalow was very clean, it was well maintained and the kitchen was well equipped. Outside, there was a spacious balcony that had views of the park - Warthogs, Kudos wandered passed and lots of colourful birds came visiting. We also had parking near the bungalow.

"A lovely place"

   18-11-2016
We arrived by plane in Port Elizabeth and drove to the Addo park. We had a Wild card costing 3050Rand for a year. Check in was easy and drove about 400 metres to our previous booked cabin. Wonderful accommodation. We booked a night drive and joined a group of about 10 people in a kind of lorry that had gradually elevating benches towards the rear. The guide was excellent and spotted creatures long before we did. The drive cost 350 Rand each for a two hour exciting visit. We hired a guide in our car on the following day. Again he was excellent and we'll worth his 200 Rand for two hours. There was a reasonable shop next to Reception and a very good restaurant next to the shop. We thoroughly enjoyed Addo Rest camp. Our car was small but had no trouble at all on the mostly tarmac roads in the Park. We would strongly recommend staying in the Addo camp. We would also ask you to guard your breakfast preparations as one morning a fast monkey made off with our cheese.

"Nice lodge in Addo, do not, expect huge comfort but enjoy the area"

   24-10-2016
I did not expect huge comfort and we got what we expect, nice lodges and cottage houses,at a.good price vs value. Only negative aspect is booking procedure is quite complex, this could be enhanced. Area is nice, enjoy the view but be aware of apes.
