"Wonderful stay in fabulous location"
We checked out of Swissotel Sydney this morning after a three night stay and as per previous stays at the hotel I am very pleased to say we will be back again. For those wanting to shop till you drop Swissotel is your hotel!! Located just above Sydney Myer you literally step out of the lobby walk 20 metres and you are in Pitt street mall. If that doesn't take your fancy the Queen Victoria Markets are about 20 metres in the opposite direction or the Sydney Tower maybe 100 metres away and then a short elevator trip. I seriously think there is no better hotel in Sydney location wise. We arrived Thursday morning at around 12:00, our room was not quite ready but the front desk were more than happy to ring us when our room was ready. We had booked an executive room and it was thoroughly appreciated we were able to access the executive club as soon as we checked in. We were greeted by a very friendly staff member called Jackie who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The executive club is a must when staying at Swissotel. Having stayed in an executive room at the Sydney Westin I can happily report that the executive club as Swissotel is a real stand out and provides you with great value for money. Although it adds some price to stay you really do get your moneys worth. Every morning buffet breakfast is served up there at no extra cost if you are staying in an executive room. Although the range isn't as amazing as down stairs it really cannot be faulted. There is a vast range with pretty much everything you could want. If I hadn't previously had breakfast downstairs I would say the range is great I just like the hash browns and potato rosti that is offered downstairs. Afternoon tea is also served in the club everyday. We only ate the afternoon tea on one day and it was lovely. Only complaint would be that it wasn't restocked whilst we were there so the range was slightly limited. Every evening the club has canapés and drinks. The drinks is fabulous and practically an open bar with a great range of spirits, wines and beers. I must mention and hope it is passed on how impressed we were with the Tiffany one of the waitresses. She was amazing and on only our second night in the club she remembered that I liked baileys and that my friend liked cranberry juice which wasn't on offer. She got it for us straight away and was very attentive all night asking if we were like anymore. For only being there a short amount of time and it being her first job she really should be applauded. The executive club also has a fridge that is accessible all day that has soft drinks and bottled water which is great. Staying in the executive room meant we were on a high level, with our room being on level 24. The view was amazing. Our room was next to the lift which in previous hotels has been a problem however in swissotel our room was silent. We did not hear a peep from outside. The air-conditioning was very effective and kept the room cool. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. Bathroom is great too with there being a seperate shower and bath. Shower has great water pressure too. I must also thank house keeping who sourced a pedestal fan for me. I rang housekeeping when we got to our room as I like to sleep with a fan for white noise. The staff told me they didn't think they had in any in the hotel but would have a look. We popped down to the club and was very pleasantly surprised when we got back to our room and there was a fan neatly placed inside the door. I really appreciated it and it just shows how happy the staff are to go above and beyond. It is an excellent reflection on the hotel and is the general attitude from all of the staff; nothing is ever too much trouble. We've stayed many times before and we will definitely be back. Thank you swissotel for a lovely 3 nights that made our stay in Sydney that much more enjoyable.
"Great Location and friendly staff"
Check in was friendly and quick - room was fabulous - a corner suite with city skyline views. Incredibly comfortable bed so a great night's sleep. Only down side was an older style toilet - the water kept running - a bit of tinkering fixed it but a bit annoying. The location was the best for shopping and getting around the CBD. Can definitely recommend and will stay again.
"Freshly renovated in great central region"
Fantastic central location, with nice large, clean rooms and beautiful view over the city and surrounds. Service was great, although the hotel layout was a little annoying that to go from the room to the street you had to travel in two different sets of lifts and walk through a big lobby. The rooftop pool was lovely, although it was swarming with bees when we visited which made it unusable.
"A very nice hotel."
Stayed at the Swissotel Sydney for 1 night as a stopover for an international flight. Hotel very nice. Check-in was easy and staff very welcoming starting with the doorman The rooms were nicely decorated, clean and modern. The hotel is located around the corner from the Pitt Street mall, directly opposite the State Theatre and about a 10 minute walk to Darling Harbour. Asked for a late checkout which wasn't a problem, but we had to pay for it. First hour was free and then $25 per hour up to 4pm, which we were happy to pay as it suited our international flight plans. Would definitely stay here again.
"Large Room & Great Service"
Everything is perfect..we got a complimentary wine for our NYE stay, it was a great surprise. Staff is really helpful, they offer us late check out till 12 at noon. The room is large, clean and comfy. Walking distance to St. James Station.
